Charles and Joanne's home was really lovely. It fit our party of 8 perfectly and comfortably. Great stays are often about the details — this home smelled really nice all the time, it was set at the perfect temperature — we never had to touch the thermostat. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The closet was stocked with pool towels and lots of comfortable throw blankets for everyone. Everything smelled freshly laundered...as sometimes you wonder if blankets are ever washed. The pool table, the big TV room, and the hot tub all kept the different ages in our group happy and occupied. The kitchen was very well stocked, and everything was in very good condition. I was impressed to see that the water filter on the fridge read "good" and not "replace." Details. The boot and glove dryers in the garage were a nice touch, and having an electric vehicle was a huge plus to have a charger at the house. Charles and Joanne are friendly, attentive, and responsive hosts. Would return!

Nice and clean house, great for groups. Host had excellent communication and quickly answered all our questions. Location is near a small sledding slope and ice skating rink, sleds are provided at the house. Lots of food options from Asian to Mexican. We’d definitely be back.

Beautiful setting looking out at the trees. Loved the back deck area for grilling and eating outside. All the living areas were perfectly separated for our three small families to be together yet still have private space. The kitchen was well-appointed and spacious.
The weather was quite hot (90s) the weekend we were there, and the downstairs stayed cool throughout the day. We went to the rec center pool a couple of blocks down the hill, and the kids had a lot of fun there.
We would love to return someday!

We just finished our second stay at the cabin in the past three years and it was just as good if not better this time than the first time. The place was immaculate and equipped with everything that we needed for our stay in the snow. The owners are fantastic and excellent with communication. Overall, our party of 7 had a fantastic time and highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in the Tahoe area.

This property was so much more than we could have hoped for. It was what they advertised and promised. We enjoyed the amenities, the easy drive into Yellowstone and especially just sitting on the back deck in the rocking chairs with the absolutely amazing views. I would rent this property again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to vacation.

Honestly one of the nicest, most well appointed STR's that we've ever stayed at. First of all, everything worked flawlessly and was extremely well maintained ~ hot tub, ski equipment dryers, game room, big screens, kitchen appliances..... Everything was in like-new condition. The owners are communicative, extremely gracious and easy to work with. Great location, private and quiet. You can certainly spend more in the area on an STR (and we have) but why would you?? This will be our go to from now on.

Charles and Jo were a pleasure to work with. They made the process very seamless and easy for our family when checking in and gave us detailed information about the property with their guidebook prior to our stay. They are so easy to work with and so kind. The house is amazing! It is well stocked, clean with comfortable beds and linens. The downstairs zone heater wasn't working and Charles got back to me within minutes, purchased several space heaters from ACE Hardware so that our family would not be cold and was able to find someone to fix it ASAP. The ping pong table was a hit for my kids and nephews. Thank you for making my family's trip amazing. I plan to stay here again soon!

Charles and Jo created a wonderful space that is beautifully appointed, functional and comfortable. We spent a long weekend relaxing in the hot tub and playing on nearby slopes as well as the ping pong table. The beds are actually comfortable! This house is big enough that each age group can have their own space. We will be back!

This house sets a new bar for ski properties. For starters, we like the Donner community location a lot. It's really convenient to have Truckee right down the road with Safeway, shops, restaurants and ski rentals all just a few minutes away.
The house is over the top. It has a very new, luxury feel, but is extremely homey at the same time. This may be weird to say but it even smells nice. Everything worked perfectly. The garage set up is perfect for unpacking and getting ski equipment ready each day. The kitchen may be better equipped than mine. The house has ample dishes, towels, soaps, paper. There are great spaces for hanging. The gas fire, pool table, hot tub, TVs all encourage a relaxing time. The beds, bedrooms and bathrooms, temperature control, ventilation and such were all spot on. The check out requirements are minimal and reasonable. The owners are welcoming and communicative.

A spacious place that is much bigger than it seems in the pictures. The neighborhood area was nice and quiet and close to downtown Truckee. Communication was transparent, and details of the place were provided in detail which is included a digital link for quick reference. Overall it is a great place for families!

Amazing property!
We loved this stay immensely. The owners were very communicative and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. From the beds to the towels to the kitchen amenities - no detail wasn't thought of. You can tell the owners actually stay here plus rent this property out instead of the typical "it's for renters so let's do everything as cheap as possible"! I appreciated how clean and organized it was. The location and setting are beautiful too. We will definitely return!

This relatively new house was fantastic for our family of 5 (maybe even too large!). Everything worked great including the hot tub and fireplace. It was also exceptionally clean.
The property manager was also very quick to respond to any questions we had and was amenable to one request we had upon checkin.
Overall, we would love the opportunity to return to this lovely home in a great location.

This was far and away the best experience I’ve ever had renting a vacation property. Communication with the owner was extremely easy and pleasant - he was very responsive and attentive to our every question and need. The house itself was beautiful, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. I’d definitely stay here again!

Probably the best place I’ve stayed in Truckee by far. Conveniently located near everything you could possibly want—grocery, coffee shops, ski resorts, and ski rentals. Even with a group of 10, the home was ultra comfortable and provided plenty of room for recreation. Though a little bit pricey, you absolutely get what you pay for. Looking forward to being able to stay again.

House was very comfortable and thoughtfully arranged. We only had 6 people but could have easily accommodated a lot more. Close proximity to Tahoe donner skiing, flat driveway (important for winter!), Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, lovely modern bathrooms, and really communicative host. We enjoyed our stay!

Charles and Jo have an amazing place in Truckee, with all of the amenities you could want for a ski vacation. I met up with several friends and we cooked all of our meals in the well-stocked kitchen. The hot tub was amazing after skiing at Palisades. Safeway is about a 5 min drive away (and on the way to and from the ski hill) which was very convenient. Communication was great, the beds were super comfortable, and we really enjoyed playing pool and ping-pong. I would highly recommend this house and hope we can stay here again someday.

Charles' and Jo's place in Tahoe was everything we could have wanted. We were two families traveling with young children and the house had everything we could need, including a crib and high chair! The house itself is beautiful, spacious, and luxurious. There was plenty of storage space, a full kitchen with enough of everything to cater to a large group. The location was so convenient - everything was just a short drive away. We will not hesitate to book this place again if the opportunity comes up!

An excellent rental home that was just as advertised. Extremely clean and well-stocked. When we weren't skiing, we cooked every meal at the house because of the pandemic. It was great to have such a fully stocked kitchen with every utensil you could need. The layout is perfect for two families of four with two master suites and two bunk rooms. Owners were very personal and communicative throughout the process. I will definitely consider this home again next time I'm in the area.

Wonderful getaway! Charles and Joanne have a lovely home with every amenity and space for the whole family. The home was cleaned impeccably for our arrival and had all the modern updates one would need. The beautiful and well-stocked kitchen made meal prep a breeze. We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck, board games in the game room and we slept wonderfully in the comfy beds. Charles was extremely responsive to any questions that came up during our stay. We can't wait to go back!

I was here with 3 girlfriends to celebrate my 50th and the place was better than the photos. So much space... LOVED having the second living area downstairs. Kitchen is fully stocked, everything is labeled. It was fabulous! Great for us to have the level driveway... something you don't think about until it snows! Highly recommend.

Charles and Joanne were wonderful and always super responsive. Their house is amazing and every little detail is taken into consideration. The towels are fluffy, the sheets a SO soft; it's hard not to feel relaxed at this place. We wanted somewhere that wasn't in the hustle and bustle of Lake Tahoe but still within close distance to drive. This was perfect! The town of Truckee is only 10 minutes away and there are so many cute places to eat a explore. We would definitely come back to visit!
We enjoyed all of it. I have no complaints. Charles was very accommodating and called to make sure we were okay, once we arrived, as well as updated us on a few things he felt we should know
