Location, location location

My disappointment was in the Booking.com representation of the property. There is only 1 room out of 8 without an ocean view. This was the room I got when booked. Never stated it was a NO VIEW room. I would had happily paid for the view. I wasn't able to change the reservation because I only realized it was a non view room upon going to the room and management said I needed to cancel through Booking.com. Beware in the future, go directly to the property owner and you have much more flexibility when things go wrong

parking was a hassle, on your own once checked in, no 24 hour staffing. no upgrades or room service. Rooms had a dank oder (somewhat understandable ) but we’re very clean, no complaints.

Staff was super friendly and helpful, and very conveniently located.

The room didn't have AC so we had to sleep with the sliding doors open. One door didn't have a screen.

The location was great. I had a great hotel provided parking spot.

The room that was advertised and on booking.com and is always advertised on this website it the only room in the hotel without a view of and ocean or beach. The only window I’m the room looks at the sidewalk and neighbors across the street. People walk right by the window which is next to the bed. I was told if I had not booked through booking.com I could have changed my room. Very unfortunate!

We loved the location. So close to downtown Capitola. There was a patio to sit on that had a lovely view of Capitola and the ocean when it wasn't raining.

There was a smell of Sulphur/rotten eggs at times. We were told that the sewers in Capitola have issue in the rain. We ran the sinks for a while and the smell seemed to dissipate. Our room also did not have a view of the ocean. It was however a very good rate.

Very spacious and clean. It had everything you need. I believe our room was a handicap accessible room and it was perfect. Easy access from walkway and/or elevator.

Would like a balcony if it were a longer stay. They have those we were only there for 2 nights.

The room was quiet and comfortable, despite the aged furniture. The person in the office was very helpful and friendly.

I somehow booked the only room facing the road and not the sea. We couldn't keep the curtains open because some of the panel blinds behind were missing which gave passers by direct views into the room. Staircase and corridor areas were dusty and door mats in front of each room are really old and decaying.

Probably the best location you can find. Excellent view, easy access to the beach. Big room. Overall, good experience.

Parking was not explained very well. We were in Room 8. We could hear the person above us walk around. When they flushed their toilet, ours flushed. Office was not staffed Saturday, as posted.

Room size was nice and it was clean. Very convenient right at village.

No breakfast is included. The room get from Booking.com is a room that has a few issues. No designated parking space. You do have a parking pass if you can find parking nearby. Room is nice, very stuffy, next to busy street and sidewalk, no view, don't feel safe opening window due to location. We did find a fan in closet but had to place it in open outside door and open window, one side No screen. Elevator was broken and had been for a month or more. They don't tell you about the Elevator until you're there. You have to climb stairs for all rooms except rm 1 which was ours, it had sidewalk access. You hesitate to drive anywhere for fear of not finding a parking space near hotel. It was mentioned to us that you get what you paid for.

The lobby closed so early. I was nervous that my key wouldn’t work or I would lose it. I wouldn’t have access to my room.

Room didn't have any USB port access for cell phone charging and no air conditioning. It did have a box fan, which helped to cool room. I would suggest a ceiling fan over bed and in kitchen. They can easily replace current ceiling lights and are cost efficient to run.
