Saying anything negative about Heron Cove would be a stretch. We booked our stay here to have a home away from home with plenty of privacy, easy access to the lake, and water toys available to use. In these ways, the stay far exceeded our expectations. We were honestly surprised by how well the home was stocked, and it was apparent that much thought was put into making Heron Cove as stress-free as possible. As an added benefit, communication with the property owners was top notch and super responsive. We're already looking for excuses to come back out to the FLX area. P.S. Pictures do not do the property or the views from Granger Point justice, and waking up to the sunrise over the lake was a splendor that we won't soon forget.

This sure lives up to its billing. Great place to relax and unwind. If you enjoy bird watching you’ll be in paradise. We plan to come back again.

It was just an amazing place with a great water front, big grass area to have to room to play yard games and a nice cover hang out in the water. The way the property is set up it feels like you have the whole area to yourself with out neighbors watching. WE JUST LOVE IT!!!!!

It was everything we had hoped for. It was very clean, the view was gorgeous, and it was so cozy. The property had everything we needed and then some. We enjoyed the fire pit and the fire indoors. Thank you so much, we will be back!

We spent 4 nights at the house. The only thing that could have mad it cozier is if we had our own family pictures on the wall. Fun vinyl collection to listen to while spending nights by the fire playing. Additional ameneties not listed in the description were an accoustic guitar and foam roller, we used both. Location is great for excursions about for hiking, wineries and restaurants. Love The Old School House. Rennoldson's Market in Naples had everything we needed.

Great little spot tucked back in along the water. The fireplace was great to use for a real wood fire. There were great instructions for everything you needed there. We hope to do this again next year and enjoy the view of the snow covered hills all around.

Absolutely peaceful!! Heaven on earth!!

This was out first time in the Fingers Lakes and we loved it. The cottage is cute and very comfortable. The property is HUGE! There are lot of areas to hang out with either sun or shade. I cant believe how much fire wood was on property for us to use and the owner and manager were very fast with any questions. (our dog was in heaven and learned to swim) They provide everything anyone would need to cook and grocery store is near by so need to overpack. This is a great low-key place to kick pack and relax. Thanks for a great escape!

The beauty of this cottage is absolutely stunning. I would say the photos on here do not do it justice. It was peaceful. The property provides kayaks, paddle boards (2), and a little row boat. The water was too cold for when we were there to swim, but you can swim there as well. We paddle boarded and it was so peaceful. The fire pit is set at the edge of the property where it so quiet. They also had a fire place. and provided PLENTY of firewood. We also really enjoyed listening to the records at night and dancing next to the fireplace. Very romantic. I could go on about this place for ages. We will definitely be back.

This was the perfect little cottage for my honeymoon. So relaxing, and you can hear the waves right from inside the cottage! My husband and I stayed very cozy by the fireplace when it got cold in the evening, and loved getting to use the many different boats available! We would definitely recommend this place, and are looking forward to visiting again!

This cottage on the lake was exactly what we needed. It was pet-friendly, secluded, and cozy. Waking up to the sun rising over the lake through the windows was incredibly peaceful. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

This property is a perfect lake front house, with a private beach, room to stretch out, and a sitting room that frames the lake view, and just excellently appointed cottage. We loved to explore the area, but found ourselves wanting to come back to the property, and just take in the view, while our kids loved skipping rocks on the lake. We'll be back soon!

We had a great stay in a lovely cottage right on the lake. The bed was comfortable, the views were beautiful, and we took full advantage of the kayaks and hot tub. We are already contemplating when we can come back.

This cabin is everything you’ll ever need or want in a getaway. The views are amazing and the water is crystal clear. Plenty of privacy and outdoor activities. ALSO, dog friendly!!!!!!

Very late in giving this and a little sad about it! This place was plain and simply great. The house itself is relatively modest. You can see this for yourself in the pictures. Aside from that if what you want is a rural place and right on the lake its perfect. They had literally everything at hand. A rowboat, kayaks and a canoe with the safety equipment as well. couldn't quite make out was way out in the water. Went inside and looked and sure enough found 2 sets of binoculars on a shelf! i could go on and on. They had an extra room only accessible from outside in the back by the grills, outdoor shower and jacuzzi. In there was bunk beds + so much more. outdoor games, fishing poles with tackle, and bins of things i didn't even look at. lots of lakefront a waterfall ect. not sure I could ask for much more!

Gorgeous home and property!!! Only bad thing was having to leave. Can't wait to come back next year!!

Stayed here for six night with my family (two adults, two children ages 4 and 7) in mid-April. The location is beautiful, nestled in a quiet double lot on the SW corner of Lake Canandaigua. There is an outdoor hot tub and shower adjacent to a small waterfall cascading down from the hill above. Lots of avian diversity on the water, including a large blue heron that visited the beach every day at dusk. The home is clean, compact, and has all necessary amenities. Nice fireplace and outdoor fire pit too. Easy access to the other Finger Lakes and area attractions including NIagara, Watkins Glen, wineres/breweries, etc. We would definitely stay again.

This place is great and we hope to back again. So many things to say...the views...the waterfront...the fireplace...the hot tub...the record player and collection! The perfect, private place for our family to unwind for a few days.

My girlfriend and I (and our dogs) stayed for a few days and it was perfect. From the layout of the property, to the warmth of the fireplace, the privacy…. Everything was perfect! Winter or summer or year round, definitely would recommend!

Loved this house. The view of the lake was beautiful. Very peaceful and quiet.

My husband and I stay at this house with our dog for 5 days in October. SO very happy and grateful this was a dog friendly VBRO. Ivy had the best time once we found the C2O alarm that was chirping and found the ultrasonic pest deterrent. (The ultrasonic is on the kitchen counter and should be unplugged if you have a dog. Owner should notify pet owners of this unit .)We weren’t there for the leaf peeping, but it was on its way and was beautiful. This house has a very desirable location right on the lake. No stairs was my priority. Just a few steps out the door and your feet are in the water. So very, very peaceful. We felt quite Zen after a day gazing at the water at our doorstep. Even with the rain on and off for 2 days it was perfect. The only thing that bothered us was all the open foods to be found, especially in the refrigerator and personal items left out. Open jelly and condiments, etc. (whose fingers were in them?) which should be tossed and personal items in the bathroom such nail clippers (ick) in the medicine cabinet. I closed it when I saw those so I can’t say what the other items were. There is a lot of opened shampoo and body washes in the showers. I’ve never seen this in any other rentals before. If soap, shampoo etc. is left for anyone to use it’s been a new unopened bottle in a basket with a note to the renter. Owner personal items are usually kept in a locked closet and not for visitor use. This is not my friend’s or family’s home. It’s all strangers with all different or no good hygiene habits. Two junk drawer which frankly should be cleaned out and other old useless items should be gone. Having said that there is plenty of TP and this is smart to leave when you need to have septic only paper. My husband sort of liked the beds. They looked like a spring mattress with a separate topper, but I didn’t. I’m a soft girl with a Tempur-Pedic at home. We forgot our pillows and after the first night had to go out to BBB to get something not so old and flat. Fishing wasn’t so great which was disappointing. My husband, who is an avid fisherman, caught only 2 perch. After some research we found that the lake had an issue a few years ago that affected many of the species of fish and the fish are still recovering. We watched the many boats out on the water every day and they also did not reel in any fish. Other than that it was most enjoyable. The hot tub was great at night or early in the morning. Peaceful, relaxing, clean and comfortable! Highly recommend this VRBO. Communication was great, inside and out were well stocked with all the basics and more! We only left one time to go for ice cream! House, yard and gardens were clean and well cared for. Beautiful views.

This was our second time staying and once again it exceed our expectations . Each year they make improvements to make our stay better than the last .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heron Cove. The cabin is very cozy and private and the property is beautiful. We enjoyed the fireplace on cool nights and a couple of rainy days. The cabin is thoughtfully stocked and the beds are very comfortable. We had a great stay and would definitely love to stay here again!

We stayed here in Feb. 2021 for a long weekend to visit RIT and U of R which was 1 hour away and to go skiing. The location is fantastic. The house is in a little cove with wonderful views of the lake. The cottage is cozy and very nice. This place must be wonderful in the summer.
