This property has everything you need for a great stay - and that’s coming from 5 rather picky “mature” females. This is probably the most well stocked kitchen we have ever had, and there are tons of towels and blankets. They even have shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The house is a good setup, and we practically lived outside in the nice and clean pool area. If there’s one thing I would consider changing, it would be the ladder getting into the pool - it’s kind of wobbly. The host is amazingly responsive. You really can’t go wrong with this rental.

We had a great stay at Rosie’s cottage. It was a perfect location. The house had ample room and the pool was ideal for the mid summer heat!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Niles' home! It is in a great location and the house comes with everything you might need. It's really nice to be close to Lake Michigan, but also have access to a heated pool. If you need anything, Niles is great with communication! We look forward to staying here again!

We had a wonderful time at this property. Everything you need is there (tp, paper towels, shampoo/conditioner). Tons of fun in the pool and short walk to the dunes!

We were 6 adults and 3 children. We thoroughly enjoyed the house and pool. The house was very well equipped with anything needed. Although we intended to visit the nearby Dunes, we so enjoyed the pool area that we never left the house for other activities.

We enjoyed staying at this house and think it would be even more fun in the summer months with Warren Dunes being super close and being able to use the pool and fire pit. It was still an awesome house to stay at and make memories with our family that we don’t see often.

Great house for 3 couples and kids

This is a well appointed/supplied property. Three upstairs bedrooms are very nice. Sleeping arrangements in basement are good but by nature of it's location a bit dark/cool/damp. Pool was a nice addition but we spent most of the time at the beach.

This is our second time renting this house and this experience was just as good as the last one. Everything is clean and well maintained. Niles is very responsive and helpful. The pool is a great option for when the lake is too cold or the currents too rough. Our kids love that they can take over the whole lower level. The house is well stocked with basics (which some rentals can be stingy on) as well as some really nice to haves like shampoo, conditioner, beach towels, etc. It's just such a great spot so close to Warren Dunes, Greenbush, Sawyer Market, Captain Mikes, etc. We never had to go more than a few miles the whole week we were there. I'm sure we'll be back again!

We loved the pool, comfortable furniture and well stocked kitchen. The walk to the Warren Dunes was farther than expected but Cherry Beach was a great find.

We had a fantastic time staying at Rosie’s Cottage. The house is exactly as described and has so much to offer. The layout and space was especially great for us because we had two different families staying and we each had our own level of the house. The house has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing time away from home. The neighborhood is quiet and within walking distance to Lake Michigan. Another plus is that the owner is super responsive and immediately responded to any needs we had. If you’re looking for a wonderful place to stay close to the lake, I highly recommend this property!

We had such an amazing family trip at Rosie's Cottage. The large open kitchen was great for making large meals. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kids loved having their own space in the basement. We loved the proximity to New Buffalo and enjoyed exploring Sawyer for the first time. Niles was very responsive to our questions and helpful.

Rosie’s cottage was perfect for multi-generational vacation! Lay-out of house is ideal. We are planning to return next summer!

I rented this house for a weekend getaway for a group of 6 teenage girls. The layout of this house is perfect as it allows kids to have their own space in the basement. Unfortunately, on the day of my reservation, I woke up with COVID symptoms, took a home test, and tested positive. The owner graciously allowed me to change the date of my rental for another open date in February. When we arrived, we were very happy to see that the layout was just as expected and the girls would have their own space in the basement. Unfortunately, the basement appears to have structural issues as water was leaking up through the floor. I notified the owner. He was apologetic despite not being able to rectify the issue during my stay. I used beach towels on the floor to absorb as much of the water as I could but the towels became saturated in a short period of time. The girls' socks and feet were wet and any blankets, pillows or belongings that accidentally fell on the floor became wet. The owner offered to compensate for any damaged property but no offer was made for reducing or reimbursing me for the stay. The owner told me he is working to correct the issue but if you're considering this house, you may want to confirm. Otherwise, the layout is great, the decor and furniture are nice, the location is ideal, and the owner is very responsive.

Enjoyed our quiet weekend with family. Would love to go back in the summer and enjoy the pool!

We’ve been renting homes every fall for a getaway and this has been our favorite! There was so much space both inside and outside for everyone to be comfortable. We had several little ones and the layout made it easy to accommodate naps and sleeping for them. we’d love to stay here again! Thanks so much for a great weekend!

We love this place and we keep coming back. The new owners are just as diligent as Rosemary was with keeping the pace in great shape. There’s so much to do in the area and the pool is perfect when you just want to hang out. Thanks so much! We’ll be back for sure.

We loved staying here and felt the house was perfect for all ages! It was well stocked with everything we could need. The downstairs was a wonderful hangout for the kids while the adults greatly enjoyed cooking in the large upstairs kitchen. The pool was the perfect temperature and well stocked with pool toys and floats. The pool deck was large with plenty of seats, a large table for outdoor meals, and two umbrellas for shade! The garage also had a high chair, baby gate, and other items. We also enjoyed morning visits on the screened porch! Niles was very responsive to emails while scheduling as well! I could go on and on and really hope we'll be back soon!

We stayed to celebrate my parents both turning 70. We wanted to be close to Warren Dunes and have some good outdoor space and this house offered both. The front picture of the house was a little misleading as the yard and landscaping were pretty overgrown with weeds. We did have a plumbing issue while we were there, but Niles responded right away and came out and took care of it. The house was stocked full of soap, toilet paper, dishes, etc. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

The owner was very responsive. The first full day of our stay, we did not have hot water in the shower or the pool or heat in the house (it got down to 48 degrees overnight). The next day, we reached out, and Niles said that the gas company had shut the gas off and was sending a tech. to the property to turn it back on. As it turned out, we had to miss our dinner reservation to let the gas tech. onto the property. The whole process took about an hour to fix. We appreciate that Niles took quick action to respond and find a solution to the problem, but we were not offered a discount or refund for the trouble. The bedrooms are spacious and there is plenty of room for everyone. We did notice quite a bit of dust and pet hair on the floor, furniture, and bed linens (especially in the basement). The house is very well stocked with dishes, plates, towels, and paper products. The kitchen is very updated and so is the basement. We used the bikes in the garage to ride to Sawyer National Park and climb the dunes. There were also strollers, a pack and play, and highchair in the garage, but we would recommend bringing your own because they were quite dirty. The location is great. There are several towns to visit within a 10-15 minute drive. Great restaurants, breweries, and shops. We hiked the river walk one morning, which was very fun. The outside of the property and front deck need a good clean. The windows are very dirty and covered with cobwebs. The neighbors on all sides were doing construction so we had heavy equipment dust and noise on all sides for the duration of the trip. But that didn't stop us from enjoying the property. The pool deck is broken, as is the fence in some places. The pool was nice but also needs repairs. The bottom of the pool needs to be refinished. There are big divots 8-10" deep in places, and I can imagine someone breaking an ankle if they step in one incorrectly. Other than that, we made great use of the pool and were happy to have it. Finally, the owner made a big deal about stripping the beds and washing all the towels and putting them in the dryer before we left. Because we were enjoying the pool, we washed the towels but could not put them in the dryer before we left. We did strip the beds and left things in neat order before departing.

Top notch, layout was perfect. Lots of open space upstairs, downstairs and outside. Loved the pool and patio area. Nice tables and chairs - enough for everyone plus some. Appreciated the coffee, having dishes, more than enough towels, ice, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap. I liked too, the different scented hand soap in the upstairs Kitchen (orange) and (Rose scented) in the upstairs bathroom. Had we forgot anything- you seemed to have had it covered. My family enjoyed the house and pool very much during our stay. The house has an amazing location tucked away in a very wooded neighborhood, a short walk to the Warren Dunes, and a nearby farmer's market stand. The house is perfect for a large group. We had 7 people (adults and kids) and had plenty of space. The listing states 12 people capacity and I agree. Some listings overstate the house capacity but you could comfortably have 12 people and everyone would have a mattress to sleep on (including the trundle beds and pull out sofa). The front porch was very peaceful and relaxing and the pool was in great shape. The woman who services the pool came during our visit; she stopped to talk with us about what she was doing and made sure we did not have any pool issues. The house has a garage stocked with pool floats and other things you might want to use (strollers, high chairs, fire wood, etc.) Niles was amazing to work with and had excellent communication. Every question I asked was promptly answered. We had some extreme weather during our stay and Niles did a great job reaching out to us to make sure everything was okay and accommodated us as best he could. I recommended the house for a large group and will definitely keep it in mind the next time I want to stay in the area.

Our stay was so great! We absolutely loved the house -- very clean and maintained well. Beautiful finishings. My children kept asking if we could stay here forever! They loved having the pool in the backyard. The kids were playing in the basement playroom before we even unpacked the car. Owners were easy to reach when we needed. We would definitely stay here again!!
