Older, clean, and well-maintained home. Great location - only minutes away from beach and downtown Hilo. We visited during the rainy season so house did get humid and damp. House would benefit from a dehumidifier.. Fortunately, all rooms had a fan and that did help with the humidity. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well-equipped, and there was plenty of room for our party of 6. Host welcomed us with a box of Big Island cookies, which was a nice touch! Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for hosting our family!

I loved how clean and spacious the home was. I also loved how Vacasa reached out to me on the first day to check and see how things were going and if I had any problems. A+ service.

I’m born and raised in Hilo and the home was exceptional, but I was extremely disappointed with the excessive fees.

The entire home is amazing! The kitchen and the downstairs bath where two of my favorite things. You are supper close to town, but pay attention in the morning. The road is North bound only until school starts.

First time using Vacasa! Extremely satisfied with Air BnB home. Would definitely consider booking same home on next trip to Hilo!

Great centralized location. Close to everything. On a very busy road, so if you are sensitive to traffic noise, not the choice for you. The location and affordability made this a non factor for us. Huge house with all the amenities you’ll ever need. I’ve stayed here twice and (hopefully) will again. Mahalo!

There were 7 of us, and this home was perfect, offering lots of space for spreading out but also had good common areas for gathering comfortably. Super clean. Very well-equipped kitchen for Asian cuisines, which as family that loves to cook together, really helped us create memorable meals for our mini-reunion. You'll want a car to get around, but it's pretty close to downtown Hilo and local sites. Highly recommend!

Great house with a so-so location. It’s close to everything, but it’s on a very busy road. If you don’t mind the noise, it’s probably one of the best VRBO’s I’ve ever stayed in.

We had 10 family members staying here and enjoyed it very much. The place has 5 bedrooms, not 3 as advertised, plus lots of fold-out couch-to-beds. A small army could stay here comfortably. When we got there the wifi didn't work but they sent somebody out within 20 minutes to fix it. Likewise when an erstwhile firealarm went off for no reason. Very responsive. The only real negatives were that the basement was a little damp and probably needs a dehumidifier. Moreover, the vent from the dryer stupidly vents into the room, not to the outside. The house is also across the street from a small prison with barbed wire which is a bit of an eyesore. But the grounds and rest of the neighborhood are very nice and there's an elementary school a few blocks down the street too. So we felt safe. We would definitely stay there again.

We loved being so close to everything...and being able to cook for our team. It was a great experience for all of us players, parents and coaches!!

This property was perfect for what we were looking for. We had 10 people and our stay was fantastic! Lots of space, excellent kitchen for a group. Great to have laundry. Thanks for a great stay for our family!

This home is very spacious that can sleep 16 comfortably. No AC but enough fans and windows to keep the house very cool. It has a FULLY equipped kitchen and it was very clean! This was our second time this year renting this home for our youth basketball team and we would definitely want to stay there again!

There were too many people, 13m in the house. With people sleeping on the uncomfortable to set up, clumsy, pull out couch, privacy for them was gone. Others came out for mid night snacks, early and late coffee, to visit and talk with each other, making the people in the living room unable to rest. The living room should not be used as a bedroom. A maximum number of people should be established, perhaps 8 or 10 in that particular building.

Only improvement is if you plan to watch TV in your off time not many cable channels so be prepared to watch tv on your other electronics.

The house is clean, beautiful and comfortable and the location in Hilo is excellent. So close to downtown! A few things that really stood out and helped us out: fans in all rooms + extra tower fans in closets, fully-stocked kitchen including tons of Tupperware for food storage, lots of empty pitchers to fill with tap water and keep cold in fridge, a cooler in the laundry room to take on beach trips, large yard for little ones to run around. I encourage you to poke through all the kitchen cabinets--there are a ton of things that are so handy! A few things that could have been better: it needs more bath towels (there were 6 towels for the 6 of us.. so no extras on hand), and there were no beach towels. I did not communicate this to the manager, but this was a bit inconvenient. FYI: This lovely home is located on an extremely busy street so the traffic is loud (annoying for light sleepers when sleeping with windows open--I'll bring earplugs next time), there are a few schools right down the road so morning school traffic can be backed up (fortunately we were there for fall break!), and the house is right across the street from a very small corrections facility (only issue there was large vehicles in their parking lot early in the mornings with loud beeping noises... I suppose the facility itself may be an eyesore to some, but we didn't think it was). Also, I didn't have a direct phone number to reach out to anyone with issues (like no laundry detergent available, WIFI info, problems with closing the key lockbox) so I had to email Vacasa and I would have preferred to be able to call/text someone local right away instead of waiting for an email response. Responses were fast enough, but having a phone number to contact is my preference. It all worked out in the end. To end things on a positive note, I would absolutely stay there again. It is great for large groups and families with kids. The stocked kitchen really helped us save money by cooking at home quite a bit.

Very well equipped for a large family. Lots of dishes, big pots, and serving ware. There is no partial a/c and almost everything was as described. We didn’t find any beach towels and counted only 8 towels for our group of 10. But we were prepared so no stars off for that. We did have a pest problem that was promptly dealt with. The local manager was pleasant and accommodating. Overall we loved it! Great location!

We have stayed at numerous vacation rental properties, but this beautiful home is by far the most AMAZING property we have ever stayed in. Everything in this home, every little detail, is spectacular and the quality of care and maintenance is exceptional.

Exterior: The landscaping is very well manicured and the exterior walls of the home are nice and well maintained.

Living room: Both living rooms are beautifully decorated with high quality furniture.

Kitchen: Well stocked with cookware and tableware. Updated with modern appliances.

Bedrooms: Beds are comfortable and nicely dressed. Great closet space with hangers provided.

Bathrooms: So beautiful. Huge shower heads, good water pressure and beautiful shower floors. Travel toiletries provided.

Laundry: Huge washer, 2 dryers, utility sink and laundry baskets.

Easy check in and check out. Convenient location near downtown. It is a sparkling clean, plantation-style house. Large enough to accommodate our party of 10. Could have easily handled 2-4 more people comfortably. House contained all of the kitchen equipment to cook for our big family. Like most homes on the Big Island, there is no air conditioning. (Go out during the day. House temperature is fine at night.) Property manager was very responsive, even during after hours. Thank you for a great stay! We will definitely be back and recommend to other families.

Very spacious and clean home. Quality amenities and great layout for us! We are a youth sports program and had all the players and coaches stay in the house with no restrictions on comfort because of the spacious layout of the home. "Nobody slept on the floor". Nice size kitchen and good quality appliances. No AC but there's enough fans and windows to stay cool and Hilo is usually cool at night. This home far exceeded our expectations and had a lot to fit our needs. We would definitely stay at this home again!
