The neighborhood was horrible and scary

I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel but I used some of the vending machines of the hall and we also could store our own food at our room because of the room's freezer, which is really nice if you want to save some money.

The neighbourhood is kind of messy

Very nice and safe lodging! Everything was extremely clean and my room had a really nice view.

The location was not great, but still close enough to walk to the beach.

The apartment is very secure and the bathroom was large and the overall space was quite big as well.

There isn’t any AC and it gets quite warm in the rooms you do have a fan but when it’s over 30 degrees it isn’t as helpful. The area itself doesn’t feel very safe but the building is super secure which is nice but we didn’t feel comfortable walking home at night.

Location was not nice, not safe and would not recommend staying here. We left a day earlier and stayed somewhere else.

The room is relatively big, the gym is nice and the staff is friendly.

The location is horrible and unsafe for solo female travellers - though I could have made my research about this. The building is a bit run down, at least on the actual accomodation part. The mattress could be harder as it gave me a bit of a neck pain. I tried to modify the booking and leave 2 days early DURING the period where I would have still received 50% back for cancellation - however couldn't cause by that time Booking gave me a higher price for that 5 day stay than what I originally booked for my 7 days stay.

The whole place is very modern and the rooms are actually great. The only massive downfall is no A/C, and the fan they provide is ineffective so if you’re coming in summer like us, you’ll sweat all night. The location is a little bit dodgy especially after the riots, however the accomodation is locked up very well and we felt very safe inside. Only a 5 min e scooter from the nicest beaches and the port area, or a 30min walk. Close to train station though so would be good for an overnight stay.

The airconditioning was not working and there was nobody at the reception on the weekend and no one answered my calls neither my email about it. The location is awful! I did not feel safe in the neigborhood.

Not the best area in marseille, we spent there 6 days, nobody come to change the towels or clean the room properly. The floor was already dirty when we checked in.

All the email instructions were in French only.

Mostly this was fine. I had a quiet, if slightly small, room on the 7th floor. The general room and bathroom were clean and well-presented.

The kitchen had few utensils, which weren't especially clean. After using the coffee machine when I arrived, I became rather ill, and discovered there was noticeable mould within the pot. It meant I spent the majority of the weekend stuck in the room, and somewhat spoilt the visit. There is also quite a bit of noise heard from people on the street below (even on the 7th floor). Reception is not open at weekend, and I struggled to find the correct building for my room. Although the neighbourhood atmosphere might be considered a little off-putting for some, the main problem was the lack of things (restaurants) nearby, even despite the proximity to the station.

It was a shambles from the get go! Getting into the property is difficult. There is no specific entrance and you have to wait ages for someone to answer the buzzer. When you enter the staff expect you to be able to speak French, luckily we had Google translate but this seemed to annoy the staff. We were handed the keys and told to go find the room and if we needed anything someone would be available between certain hours, fair enough, we knew the student accommodation didn’t have a 24/7 front staff. The building was under renovation, pain everywhere, floor covered in taped down plastic, lift was boarded up on the inside, it honestly felt so run down. Entering the apartment initially seemed promising, beautiful views from the window, clean and tidy etc, however, when you take notice, their is mould in the showers, stains at the bottom of the toilets and dirty bedding. The bathroom had a weird fishy/number 2 smell. The windows were dirty. I truly believe you get what you pay for. Just as we thought it couldn’t get worse, the hotel staff warned us to empty our bins in the morning when we left and to tidy up after ourselves, we do this normally anyway but taking your bins out was a bit unusual considering bins are not provided. To top off the stay, the night before we were due to leave, THE HOTEL TURNED OFF MY HOT WATER. I called booking.com for help as there are no staff on a night to help. Nothing could be done, I had conditioner tin my hair and a body full of shower gel. I had no choice but to rinse with cold water. The hotel do not wish to take any responsibility, I honestly wish we had not stayed here. From start to finish I fully believe this hotel ruined my trip to France.

The view from my room was amazing!

The fitness room missed some equipment. The Wifi didn't work good enough to hold Teams meetings in my room so I had to go to the main room. That was annoying :(
