The cottage is so charming and the surrounding area is so peaceful. The owners had supplied everything you need with excellent natural products. Would definitely stay again

This property over delivers on everything from location, to spectacular views, to a wonderfully appointed house. What a wonderful place to enjoy wine country!!

What a pleasant surprise awaited us at the end of this curvy little mountain road. You cannot see this home from the road, it is discreetly located up a partial dirt road through the trees. A very well appointed guest house with a scenic view of vines and a huge grass area with a fire pit and private hot tub. Sadly, we were part of a larger group and didn’t get to use the outdoor space as our time was filled morning til night. The hostess was a fantastic communicator and was the first to text me to alert me when the power went out in the area. It was restored very quickly so no inconvenience was had. The oversized King bed was very comfortable as was the large sectional sofa where we enjoyed our morning taking in the view of the vines. This is the nicest vacation rental we’ve ever stayed in. Don’t hesitate to book this one, you won’t be disappointed!

As previous reviewers have stated, this property is magical; well located, well appointed and beautiful views. In spite of the January rains which left the drive to the house somewhat uncomfortable, our hefty rental car took on the challenge and the owners were attentive to the situation. We learned to navigate the “stream only” tv service and for this couple of a certain age, we were proud of our accomplishment although we admit we never mastered access to national news stations and sports events. Oh well, more time to drink wine!! This property will definitely be added to the list of favorite places we have stayed in CA wine country.

Visit wineries and redwoods during the day, quiet glass of wine on patio at night , then perhaps cook on Wolf stove or outside grill. Upscale market less than a mile away( Big Johns). Comfortable bed. Clean throughout. Updated outside with hot tub and new landscaping in progress. Note, only TV in bedroom. Be like us, sit outside instead.

The drive up the secluded bumpy road is so worth it. This place is wonderful! My wife and I enjoyed every minute. The space is exactly how you see it in the listing. Laid out perfectly making wonderful use of the space. Everything flows to the wonderful porch. We spent so much time out there. Coffee in the mornings and wine at night. Visits from quail and hummingbirds every morning. Top notch appliances to make anything you want. The bed was very comfortable. Healdsburg is so close and you can find anything there you need. Great location for exploring wineries!

We loved our stay in the vineyards! To relax in the morning with coffee and in the evening with wine is magical! The home is comfortable and beautiful and the owners were thoughtful in so many little touches plus a pleasure to communicate with! It's a new favorite place and we look forward to returning!

The cottage was amazing! We were greeted with a bottle of wine, chocolates, and a sweet card for our anniversary/birthday Celebration. We loved everything about this place, the view, location; it was clean and it was beautifully decorated. The views were so breathtaking that we decided to stay in every evening and cook a delicious meal and drink wine on the patio. This is by far our favorite vrbo in wine country, and we can't wait to return.

Spock and span contemporary holiday cottage with everything you need. Lovely view West over vine. Air con. Tranquil spot. Dry Creek valley is beautiful, and full of wineries. A couple of miles to Downtown Healdsburg. One mile to walk/cycle/run path in Healdsburg. Only thing we missed was having sun-loungers.

We love this place! The wonderful veranda that many have spoken about, the well stocked kitchen and a very comfortable bed. I loved all the special touches like good quality cooking supplies and shower supplies. The owners left great instructions and recommendations as well. What a beautiful retreat.

Just a short distance from Healdsburg but with seclusion to make you feel like you can get away from things, this is a great property for a couple to relax in and make the most of everything around them.

This cozy home is so private and nestled down a long lane among a few trees. The patio is a quiet space overlooking the vineyard and perfect for morning coffee. We enjoyed the sounds of wild turkeys and all the different birds that fly in and out over the hillside. The home is really comfortable and we enjoyed grilling out on the gas grill a few nights. The location is superb and within a few minutes from Healdsburg and so many wineries. This type of quality home/experience is what makes Vrbo so special!

This is a beautiful, private little cottage! It's just a few minutes drive to town and well-positioned to drive to the multitude of wineries. And once you enter the cottage you'll know you made the right choice. It is very open and spacious, tastefully but comfortably decorated and well stocked with amenities. But the deal maker is the gorgeous vineyard views from the large and comfortable patio. Our favorite part of the stay was sitting on the patio just gazing out at the view and sipping wine. We actually canceled my husband's birthday dinner so we could do just that. The living, bathroom and bedroom spaces are all very spacious and the host was very kind and responsive. 13/10 would book again :)

This is a lovely home tucked away on the hills that’s perfect for a Healdsburg weekend getaway to wine country. The cottage felt secluded enough, but it was right off Dry Creek road. The kitchen and whole cottage had everything we needed. It was nicely decorated and clean (I’m pretty picky!). Loved mornings on the lanai and evenings by the fire pit. Nez was super responsive and a great host. Will definitely be back!

The cottage is very nicely and comfortably furnished with an open contemporary look......just like the photos. The kitchen was well stocked with 2 coffee makers and all the cookware and utensils we ever needed. The Nickersons were perfect owners--clear, easy instructions for check in and check out, lots of recommendations re local restaurants and things to do. They responded very promptly the couple of times we had a question. We'd definitely rent this property again.

The stay at this property did not start off so well. We had no communication with the owner prior to our stay, i.e. confirming our stay, providing us contact information, how to get into the property, etc. The number to call the owner at was disconnected. Spent almost two hours on the phone with VRBO to try to get some help and finally they found a number for the owner. Once we were able to get into the property, everything else was as described. The home was clean, well stocked, private, quiet, somewhat secluded, and overall an enjoyable experience. Recommendation for those staying here would be: be sure you have contact information for the owner that works and make sure you have everything you need to get into the home before you arrive, i.e. key code to get in, etc.

We loved how close the house is to downtown Healdsburg yet secluded. Very clean and would definitely stay here again!

Quiet, relaxing, enjoyable. More pots and pans than our kitchen at home. A life-time of possible winery visits. Clean, well-maintained. Great restaurants near. Had to drive into town for a daily walk.

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at this Healdsburg gem! This lovely home is perfectly situated in a private location, with a beautiful covered / heated deck area, overlooking a vineyard and redwood trees - simply magnificent!! The home is absolutely lovely, well appointed, & easy to cook your own meals or just hang back, relax and head out for meals when you're hungry. All this, and It's super convenient to the town. Access to restaurants, grocery stores, shops & major roads for traveling to wineries all over the area - it's all super convenient. Look no more - you've found your vacation getaway & we can't wait to return!!

We recently stayed at this house for over 2 weeks and found it to be clean, modern, attractive and well-appointed. A few notes: - The pictures in the listing accurately represent the property, and the views are as advertised. There is a vineyard directly behind the house, and toward the side, one can see across the backyard of the main house far into Dry Creek Valley. - The house is very conveniently located. Once one gets to the bottom of the winding, roughly paved road/driveway that leads to the house, it is less than 5 minutes in one direction to the Healdsburg plaza or 5 minutes in the other direction to the Dry Creek Valley wineries. In 15 minutes, you can be at the wineries in the eastern part of Russian River Valley. - There is a six-drawer dresser (not shown in the pictures) and night stands with shelves in the bedroom; hanging space in the laundry/storage area; and drawers, cabinets and shelves in the vanity in the bathroom. Together, these provided ample storage space for our 2+ week stay (and we didn’t pack light!) - It is very quiet and peaceful. The only other property in the immediate vicinity is the main house (and the owners were only there for a day or two at the end of our stay). - We only had one problem during the course of our stay that we had to reach out to the owners about (concerning plumbing), and Nez took care of it immediately. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Property was more beautiful than the pictures...all amenities provided and having coffee on the patio in the morning and a glass of wine at night overlooking the adjacent vines made for a perfect stay.

We loved everything about this place. Location, the kitchen and everything was kept clean and it was equipped with pretty much everything we needed. Perfect place to stay and cook meals in and not very far from downtown healdburg if we wanted to eat out and walk around! Definitely coming back in the next year!

Very clean, beautiful views, high end appliances, and inviting atmosphere. We were greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine and the instructions provided by the owners was fantastic. We really enjoyed the list of favorite restaurants and wineries! Even though one of the air conditioners wasn't working, the owners brought in a portable unit to make sure that we were comfortable. If we are in the area again, we will certainly book this property.

Fabulous place! On a scale from 1 to 10 everything was an “11”! Immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, all high end appliances in the kitchen, light, great view and owners were extremely responsive and clear in their directions. Can’t wait to go back.

Spectacular. A truly lovely retreat for two. Set atop a hill, the cottage enjoys expansive views of the Sonoma Valley to the south and a neighboring vineyard to the west. “Wine country modern chic” would be the design vibe.While relaxing, meditating, practicing yoga, or dining on the lanai, you’ll notice a lot. A hummingbird visits the lavender. A woodpecker gently taps the redwoods. A pair of birds duels a squirrel on another tree. A bluebird graces the sunrise. Bees visit your lemonade, but depart swiftly. The morning fog burns off the distant hillside vineyard to reveal a spectacular Dry Creek Valley most every day. A copse of redwoods shades a second outdoor seating area. Space, time, weather, setting and just the right amount of space for two lead to connection, great conversations and ease. Here are our “pro tips” for a fabulous stay at the cottage.Bicycles - bring them; you can exit and enter the property via the fence gate to the north to access Norton Road (paved). Ride to town for dinner via Kinley Road.Walking - don your hikers and walk down the drive and across the street, then cross the road into the vineyard and make your way to 32 Winds Wine; check out the 1950’s autos piled in the woods along the creek. Walk further west along Dry Creek Road to Comstock Winery for a lovely tasting.Coffee - surprise your partner by waking early to make a run to Plank Coffee; order ahead from your phone via the site that pops up on their Google Maps profile.DoorDash - Kinsmoke, Pizzando and El Farolito are the primary options as of this writing. Be sure to call your Dasher on their way over to coach them something like this, “Turn right off Dry Creek Road after the 45 mph sign, then veer half-right past the ‘no trespassing’ and ‘beware of dog’ signs on your left and a barn on your right, then up a curvy, mostly gravel hill about ⅓ mile, then at the circle stay right up to the building that looks like a freestanding garage.”WiFi - It’s good enough for two desk-based professionals to work remotely and use Zoom simultaneously. Nez kindly put a new small desk in the bedroom to enable us to work with one of us in the bedroom and one of us at the dining table.Picnic - take your picnic lunch from Dry Creek General Store and enjoy a picnic table, bocce ball and cornhole at Martorana Family Winery; be sure to walk down to the creek, slip off your flip flops and soak your feet in the cool creek; arrive before 5 pm.Enjoy!
