Our group of four couples spent a very interesting four nights at Chateau Rochefontaine in early July, 2022. This grand old stone mansion is entered on ground level through a modest kitchen. The hallway at the back of the kitchen provides access to a very large dining room, an adjacent TV sitting area and a game room as well as to two bedrooms, one bathroom and two toilets. A stone circular staircase provides the only interior access to two upper levels which have a variety of different bedrooms, bathrooms and toilets. On the first upper level of the chateau is the very large library with its extensive sitting area and great two-story window. All furnishings and fixtures throughout the chateau are relatively old but functional. A stay at Rochefontaine is recommended for large parties looking for a past-times property with plenty of Breton character.

What a fabulous location for our three generation family holiday. Rochefontaine is a really fascinating place to stay: very well equipped, full of character, tastefully decorated and furnished and enhanced by the personal touches – photos, pictures, books, ornaments, flowers etc. Although it is very spacious it has a nice cosy feel to it. The large, well established garden is a bonus – plenty of space for the children to play and explore while adults are able to relax in beautiful surroundings. Its location could not be more perfect – ideally placed for exploring the pink granite coast and its wonderful beaches and walks. The local supermarket just five minutes away. Booking was easy, thankfully the owner speaks English. The caretaker and her husband were friendly and very helpful. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would very much like to return.

We were a group of 5 adults and two children and spent a wonderful week at Rochefontaine. It is a beautiful villa oozing elegance, charm and character with plenty of rooms for everyone to find a quiet space. Its location is ideal, just a mile or two from the fabulous Pink Granite coast and beaches. The owner was exceptionally helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The caretakers too were friendly and most helpful when needed. We very m uch enjoyed our holiday and would love to return.

This is a wonderful mansion from 1900. It's very well suited for large groups with plenty of rooms and everything you need. The fact that it's so old makes it very exciting! Thank you for a lovely stay!

The house is really big and beautiful full of memories and ancient things with great garden around it (you can't see the house from the street, so no one can disturb you!). Very calm quarter close to all beautiful sites, shops and markets are not far away too. There is enough space for everybody, we were 12 (adults and kids) and didn't feel tightly at all! Very good proprietor, all problems she solved immediately. I would like to come back again and spend more time there. Recommend it for big families with kids or for friends. (There is a restaurant very close this house - "La Clarte" - i recommend to try it!). And from my 6 years old son: thank you for the great holidays, we had good time in this castle, specially i liked the library and the garden!
