Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: You have to pay to use the pool which wasn’t convenient at all because the office closed at 5, the description said it slept 8 the living area looks nothing like the photos and it only slept 6. The showers were not cleaned properly I had to clean them again myself and there is one maintenance worker who harassed everyone there making it uncomfortable.

Even though the Spectrum TV service is awful, we will be back next year. Hopefully, something can be done with the Spectrum service as it is terrible.also, the sleeper sofa was broken so our guests could not use it.

Reviewer Comments: I recently stayed in the condo from july families first time vacation to spi.The rental in the description was not what we encountered during our stay.When I got into the unit the temp outside was 105 and the ac was not on. I went to turn the ac on and the thermostat fell apart. I had to put it back together and maneuver the metal clip inside the thermostat to turn the ac on. I had to maneuver it again to turn it to 70 because it was so hot.When i walked into the kitchen it smelled like urine/fish. The urine smell was coming from a corner by the bar area and strong fish odor was coming from the drains.I had to purchase products to pour down the drains because my family couldnt bear to eat around that awful smell.I walked into the kitchen and there was a crack on the tile.I then walked into the master bedroom which had floor planks that were not set right and could cause a trip hazard.The shower had mold where the caulking was.The door to the balcony was so hard to shut and if we shut it hard it would shake the decor right above the window. When my children pulled out the sofa bed it was dirty and had trash under the mattress.The mattress itself was so thin my kids backs started to hurt after the second day.We went downstairs to the beach entrance and construction was being done and that smell of fish was so guessing the pipes were one of the issues being worked on.I was not pleased with this rental at all.For the price I paid I feel the construction should have been in the rental ad and the condo should have been inspected to make sure all things and furniture were properly maintained for tenancy.We ate out most of the time and we had to treat the disposal with cleaners to drown out the smell.I urge you to re inspect this unit and replace old furniture that time has expired on.I rented other units before in different vacation spots and this one was the a single mother I work my butt off to provide my children a vacay,this was horrible

Over all was great only issue was there is construction and there lots of roaches after a good cleaning and spray of roach spray everything was good there as a issue with the pool to many people not following the rules with loud music and horse play didn’t get to enjoy pool area and towels all over the balcony’s and constant noise. There were roaches in the towels dryer didn’t work and had to make sure all our food was sealed and covered. Wish this would have been noted some where or at least a note left of and the Wi-Fi cyst out and you need a new password every day

The fact that deposit fees are not noted in advance is not good. Yet, check in process is extremely easy. Once checked in everything was clean, organized, and welcoming. Only bad thing was there was a big cockroach in one of the bedrooms that died shortly after being found, might have been a poison already on the property. Pool was enjoyable but had extremely poor lighting in the surrounding area by the pool. Parking is great. Area was quiet and relaxing. Check out is 10AM and too early.

Upon our arrival we had various issues that needed addressing by the property management company. They were quick to respond. One issue they fixed with two new thermostat batteries and another issue remained the entirely of our stay.. The Giulfpoint has beautiful grounds and pool. Covered parking and short walk to the beach. The pool use requires wrist bands which I am fine with. The people playing loud music in the pool not so much .This was on our stay, I hope not a regular occurrence. The property manager for this specific condo was informed of things needing immediate attention with the condo. My hope is that this issue is relayed to the owners to address. Overall we rate our stay about a "C"

Beach was fairly close but not as close compared to description. I've stayed in padre on numerous occasions but won't stay here again.

Only issue was having to pay more after getting there for wristbands but that’s really the only issue. Very clean and the owner was nice. I’d book through them again it’s close to the beach and on a good part of the island. Walking distance I’d say about 5-8 minutes to the beach

The master shower handle didn’t work, the dryer didn’t work and there was an air conditioner pipe draining into the guest shower. We woke up to roaches in the kitchen. I probably won’t stay there again. Otherwise it was nice. I also thought it ridiculous that the pool tags cost 10$ a person but we didn’t need them.

If you plan on not spending time in your condo at all this is the place for you. But if your looking for a place to enjoy time with friends and family pick somewhere else. The condo is nothing like the pictures. The furniture is very uncomfortable because they have plywood under the cushions. Also be sure you love plywood cause its under the mattress as well. I guess plywood is cheaper then new furniture or mattresses. Be sure to also love the cockroaches as they will be trying to make friends with you. We had no water pressure so if you want the sand from the beach off you be sure to use the hoses outside. Our last few days there was the worst because the motor quit on the AC in Texas heat of 80 plus and lots of humidity. They did send a technician to fix it after most the day without it. After a couple trips back in fourth he did manage to get it some what working. (His words not mine.) He came back on our last day to let us know he would be replacing the motor the next day after we checked out. This condo is a long ways from anything on South Padre Island so be sure to rent a car or spend a lot of money on Uber if you plan to do anything. The whole complex was under construction so there was nosie constantly.. I would highly recommend looking into other places before renting at Gulfpoint.

It was great for my husband and I plus out two daughters. The walk to beach was not bad at all and the grounds were nice. There was some construction going on but that is just temporary. Overall we enjoyed it.

The place was awesome, really spacious and perfect for a large family. It was easy to book and check in/out. A little bit of a walk to the beach but not bad at all. I would definitely recommend.

We loved the fact that the beds were a king and a couple queens. The resort was lovely too.

The property needs some updates but overall a good experience. The grounds are well kept along with a nice pool. Beach side and not a bad walk to the beach.

The rental needs updates. I wouldn’t have called the property gorgeous. It was average and needed outlets in the bedrooms that were easily accessible.

Everything was good, the walk to the beach was a little bit of a challenge with all the heavy coolers and conopy and we also had a wagon to carry all of our chairs and food . Especially when we got to the sand ! Sooo much work !! Everyone that had to tote one or the other were extremely exhausted ! Other than that, I think we had a blast , beach was very clean, and water was beautiful ! I will need to get in shape to do it all over again! I think we would be better prepared next time around ! Over all fun for all !!

Hopefully they do some investing in the property so it can be at the same standard as the actual condo, which we loved.
