This comfy four bedroom home is located 2 minutes walk from the beach. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed, we enjoyed the Jacuzzi and the outside shower was great! We had a wonderful week and really enjoyed this house. Thank you!

The house was super cute, clean and perfect for a family vacation. We loved the screened in porch and the digital personalized tablet screen on the wall to check weather and local recommendations. The beach is just a short walk away - we were sad we decided to leave early due to Hurricane Debby. But communication with owner company was simple and friendly.
The only suggestion I would make is giving an inventory in the VRBO description of the beach gear already in the house. We were excited to utilize the credit offered for beach equipment delivery but were bummed to discover that just about everything we ordered, the house already had. (Which was great! But we would have picked different things).

We took our first family vacation to this house — 5 adults, a 3 year old and a 16 month old. It was wonderful! The house was clean and welcoming, we appreciated the extras like laundry and kiddie pool/sand toys, and you can’t beat the location. We walked to the beach, Duck Donuts, and Rundown Cafe multiple times throughout our week-long stay. It was about 20-30 mins to drive to other activities in Nags Head and Duck. Would highly recommend this property for families and groups of friends!

OBX is our favorite beach to visit. This house was in a great location. We also loved how homey it felt. It is very well kept up. The only thing is to get better seating for the living room for lounging and watching tv. The space is small but maybe get a larger sectional so more people can lounge. It was awkward even for 2 people and a small dog. Beds were very comfortable. It’s a great house!

We stayed at the Blue Bungalow for 6 days and nights with another couple.
Pros: This is a beautifully appointed place. It's clean, has beautiful floors, adequate cookware and decent dishes. The linens were also decent quality.
Cons: It is noisy from traffic noise from the Coastal highway. We expected this from it's place on the map, but some might find it disturbing.
Our biggest concern was the overall feeling of stinginess and scolding that pervaded both the process of paying and staying there. I had no choice but to give the rental agency my bank account number, because they charged an extra $30 to use a credit card. I was able to pay with a check for the last part of the transaction where there was more lead time.
There is no salt, pepper, or any commonly used condiments. No dish soap. No saran, wax paper or foil. We only needed one of those. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. While the beds suggest it could sleep 8 people, there is only furniture for 4 comfortably in the living room, or screened in porch. We were asked to take the trash out for Thursday pickup (not a problem), but when I couldn't find any trash-bags, I was told I would have to buy them. When I responded with only "wow", someone was sent over the next day to give us a trash bag. I was also told that there were no beach chairs for us to use, but the note from the owners (I think) said that we were welcome to use the chairs in the storage area.
These may be new property managers? I hope so.

We can’t wait to book our next vacation at the Blue Bungalow! Our family had such a nice time enjoying this home that was perfect for our stay at the beach. We loved how close it was to the beach, and our dogs enjoyed frequent walks to the beach as well which they loved!
The screened in porch was one of our favorite features. We spent so much time out there enjoying the quiet and watching the morning and evening skies. When we weren’t on the porch we were enjoying the fantastic hot tub!!
I do have to say this is one of the cleanest beach houses I have ever been in. I felt very comfortable here and welcomed from the moment we arrived! It’s such a cute beach house and we really had one of the nicest vacations our family has had in many years here.

The Blue Bungalow was the perfect home for our 4 days in Kitty Hawk! The location is perfect, the home is exactly as described, and the communication with the owners/rental group was perfect. This was our first trip to the beach for our two pups and they absolutely loved it! And we loved that it was such a short walk to the beach! We did not go out to eat, so no reviews on restaurants, we just stayed in and enjoyed the family and the pups. Perfect getaway! We will definitely rent the Blue Bungalow again!!

The house was very nice. Clean and updated. Short walk to the beach. Would recommend changing the laundry room lock as it is very difficult to lock and unlock. The grill also needs replaced. Unfortunately it was unusable and we generally like to cook out.

I wanted to start off by saying thank you. Everything about our experience with Vrbo was great. The home was spectacular, even better than described. It is in a perfect location with very easy access to the beach. It had everything we needed. The only downside to our trip was the weather. There was only one good beach day. With that being said, we were able to find lots of things to do on the Outer Banks outside of going to the beach. We saw all three lighthouses, we went to the aquarium, we did a nature walk in kill Devil Hills, and enjoyed several great seafood restaurants. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone with a family looking to enjoy a vacation.

What a great house! From the charming and updated decor to all the thoughtful additions throughout the house, this offers all the comforts of home. The location is great, hot tub was great and easy walk to the beach. Furniture is comfortable and cozy but we spent most of our time on the screened deck enjoying the sound of the surf. Great Family Home in OBX
We had a great experience at this home in Kitty Hawk! My husband and I traveled with our five kids and had plenty of space. It was comfortable, clean (the master bathroom could have used a little extra attention, but it is a beach rental), super close to the beach, and really cute. We had an issue with a broken glass top table upon arrival (of course, that’s exactly where our kids’ hands went- RIGHT to the broken, sharp glass), but it was quickly removed by a kind maintenance worker. The hot tub was nice, but the chemicals were so strong it that the steam would make your eyes sting. We did show up a few minutes early and despite the home being empty it would not let us check in a minute before 4. But overall, it was a great experience and we would come back! Thank you!

Blue Bungalow
The location is PERFECT. It really is only 625 feet from a beach access. We ordered takeout from a nearby restaurant one night. Walked there, had a cocktail on the rooftop deck while we waited, and walked home. The owners have been very smart in how the space is used-it doesn't "feel" like it's only 1100 or square feet. The only "negative" regards the twin beds-they were both very squeaky. May be ok for kids, but the adults staying in that room had a hard time sleeping because of it.

It had been so long since we had been to OBX I had forgotten all about the dozens of 24/7 dedicated OBX Real Estate Rental companies who do this for real. This is not a super slam against VRBO, but a slight slam as the fees are paramount to "Paying the police to be told you are safe while visiting the precinct"...LOL! Capitalism at its finest....VRBO is useful in many situations - just not OBX!-dp

Did not receive admission code. 4:00 was listed as ck in time !! we got in at 8:00pmTook 2 hours to get a door code😡😡😡😡🤢🤢🤢Check out time was 10:00am. Our code disabled at 8:00 am we got locked out Day of ck out ! Sarah assistant manager was AMAZING / Terry Manager was a pure prick!!!!

Great place to stay
Everyone loved the house. It's well taken care of and up to date. The hot tub was great, we used it every night. The location is perfect, right in between everything with plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. It was such a short walk to the beach that we even went in the rain. Couldn't have asked for a better stay! Highly recommend this property!

October vacation
My wife and I had a great vacation at the “Blue Bungalow”. We were able to do lots of fishing and enjoyed several wonderful restaurants. The only issue we had was with the WiFi. The WiFi was completely undetectable after the first day. It may of had something to do with the rain we got. My wife contacted the Silicon travel company and they never got back in touch with us to resolve the issue. Other than that we enjoyed our much needed vacation! (P.S. be aware of all the sand spurs in the yard!! Not friendly to bare feet or puppy paws!!)

I loved my stay here!! :) The hosts were so kind and kept great communication. Check in was extremely easy! The house was gorgeous and so clean and just a 4 min walk away from the beach! All of the rooms were beautifully decorated. And the hosts left me a note with their favorite place to each and a coupon to go their during my stay! Overall there were only positives to this trip. There were no negatives. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone! :)

Loved the Blue Bungalow!
The property owners have done a wonderful job updating this traditional beach cottage. From the minute you walk in, you notice all the decorative and comfort details. The bedrooms and beds are lovely and comfortable. You are only a short walk to the beach and everything you need, grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants are nearby. We cooked in quite a bit and the kitchen has everything you need. The hot tub was clean and well-chlorinated and having a little bit of yard was great for our chocolate lab. They even supplied a dog poop bag station! In summary, this is a great find and we will stay here again when we return to OBX. Don't pass by this lovely cottage.
