This is our groups 3rd year in powder house pass. The home is lovely in size, the suites were great, upstairs was a challenge with the shared bathroom as I heard that complaint multiple times, The back deck area was nice, but in the full sun afternoon it was not a place to be, there was no option for shade, so we ended up sitting in the driveway. Kitchen was very small for a property that sleeps 20 people, that was by far the biggest complaint. Did we have fun, absolutely, was it the best place we have stayed in powder house pass, nope. We are excited for our next year trip as we booked Grand Point.

We were so busy sightseeing that we were all together in the mornings for breakfast and evenings for dinner and games. The hot tub was great. Didn’t use the sauna. Could have been cleaner. Sweeping behind furniture, for example and cleaning the dirty towels and bedding from the upstairs closet.. The video game machine did not operate, and couldn’t find the ball for foosball. But, overall super roomy for us all and plenty of bathrooms.

Our family had an amazing stay. The property had enough room for our family of 18.
The decor was nice, kitchen had plenty of dishes and pots.
I would defiantly stay here again.
There are few things I do believe they could do to improve the stay.
The bedding and mattress are old, not very comfortable.
We booked 5 days, they did not have enough toilet paper, paper towels or trash bags. I had to go buy additional.
The towels had an old musty dirty smell. I do believe it is from the washer, we tried to wash some towels and the wash machine smelled up the entire laundry area. Dryer took all day to dry one load.
There are no balls for the foosball table. The arcade game was not functioning properly until my daughter spent time reconnecting several cords.
The lid to the hot tub was broke.
Improving these areas would make the money spent more justifiable.
We love our time together as a family and enjoy the Black Hills.

Wonderful for our 2 family’s with children the bunk rooms were perfect. The kitchen was just perfect as we did all our meals at the house. Kids used the basement family room almost entirely so that left the main living room for us. Enjoyed the hot tub several times and the big dining table was used not just for meals but also lots of games for young and old alike. We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place. Thank You!!!!

The place was very beautiful - there were quite a lot of tall weeds in the front and back, that I was tempted to pick. haha. Other than that, beautiful place and location. The beds could have been more comfortable; and the bathroom situation was a little odd for our group. With enough beds for over 8 people on the upper level and sharing 1 bath, wasnt ideal. Luckily we had two couples up there. It does so happen (Even though we were told otherwise) That the lower two bedrooms actually do have nice baths in them. And there is even another 1/2 bath in the lower that wasnt mentioned - which is really nice for the hot tubbers, and video gamers and sauna users. The place could use a more thorough cleaning - especially the lower level: lots of spider webs. Other than the fridge not cooling too well, all other amenities worked great. Not for sure if this is an ideal cabin for our group of 4 couples again, but would definitely still recommemend it.

Our family had an amazing time in our vacation rental. It was a beautiful home, was very spacious and accommodated all 15 of us, 8 adults 7 kids (ages 6-15). Lots of room for sleeping or getting away for some quiet time! It was within walking distance to the clubhouse where the kids could go swimming in the heated pool! The sauna, arcade game and hot tub were big hits by all! Kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils and contained some items such as coffee, salt, pepper, coffee filters etc. Only thing we would’ve preferred was some bigger pots, when cooking pasta for 15 people the small pots that were there weren’t really adequate! The back deck was amazing for morning coffee or sitting around the fire table in the evening! Lots to see and do in the area and very accessible! Budi was very easy to deal with and always replied to my emails, everything went amazingly! Would highly recommend! Was a wonderful family vacation!

This is the second time we have stayed at this house and we love it! Plenty of room for a group of people. The only thing we all noticed during this stay was that there was very little water pressure in the showers. Other than that our stay was great!

Overall awesome experience! The home was beautiful and very close to everything! We had a group of 18 and we all slept very comfortably! So many bathrooms which really helped. This was a beautiful home and we had a great time staying here. There's no shortage of things to do at the house, and it's super close to lots of the amazing attractions the Black Hills have to offer. Beds were comfy, everything we could need was provided.

This cabin was located close to Lead, SD. The community center with pool was awesome. Kids had lots to keep themselves busy when adults were cooking or doing other activities.

Nice house but several issues
The Black hills are gorgeous and this house was very beautiful. However we encountered many issues during our stay which left us with less than a great stay. We brought all of these issues to the rental company right away but they only fixed two items which were safety hazards during our stay (a missing smoke alarm and a glass shower door that was clanking against the other glass). The cleanliness was not great as there were cobwebs in many corners and the fridge door was dirty.. Also…
- Light over oven was out
- Front half bathroom door didnt close
- Fire pit knob was missing-so it stayed only on a very low flame
- Bathroom in first level master door woudlnt close
- Several handles missing from kitchen cabinets
- Top rack of dishwasher was stuck/broken
- One window opener handle in one of the upstairs bedrooms was missing.
-Upstairs AC was not effective which is why the windows were so important.
- One of the lights in the basement near the arcade game flickered constantly with any movement from the upstairs
- Front door lock did not work reliably - only the garage entrance worked right
I would also mention the pool at the main area was VERY small and crowded so no relief from the heat available there. The hot tub worked well but would definitely benefit from a good cleaning and the sauna was a nice feature although it took forever to heat up. The kitchen was well appointed but super disorganized like nobody checks in between stays to make sure things are in their place.
Overall our stay was ok but I would most likely choose another house next time.

Luxurious home with everything you need
This place had everything we needed away from home as well as a few extras that made it amazing. The kitchen cabinets were well stocked for cooking, soft blankets in every room, tons of towels for the showers & hottub, washer & dryer, cornhole games, fireplace on the deck, and close to Lead & Deadwood. Would highly recommend!

Our family enjoyed celebrating our sons 39th birthday! What a beautiful cabin and wonderful setting to share a weekend together! The cabin was perfect for us all. Wonderful lower level so the kids could have fun. They loved sauna, hot tub and all games. Wonderful kitchen so we could make family meals. The cabin was so clean and had all the needed supplies. It was a short ride to Terry Peak where we ski. We all decided to make this an annual event!!!!!

We were a little put off when we first drove up and saw waist high dead grass. The outside is not nearly attractive as the inside. But once we got settled in we loved it. This group has been getting together fo 10 years and the home was definitely in the very top tier of places we've stayed. We had a couple of reasons to call the property manager when we first arrived and always received good information from a friendly, accommodating staff member. Budi and Cindy were as responsive and helpful as could be. We had a group of eight and there was plenty of room for us all. The firepit on the back deck got used every night. Its a wonderful location that we will likely use again someday.

If your looking for a great cabin to enjoy the hills, you won't be disappointed. The staff at checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Can't wait to come back!!

The floors were nice and clean, the bathrooms, other than the shower curtains, were clean.

bathroom doors do not lock, this posed to be a problem with a large group.
The hot tub needs to be cleaned, scrubbed.
