Lovely place

This is a solid home and we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We were comfortable and everything worked, A/C, gas grill, appliances etc. The water by the dock can get a bit choppy because it is a busy part of the lake for boating. Once the boating stops for the day it’s incredibly peaceful and calm and that’s the best time to go kayaking or swim etc. Cute home! The neighborhood is nice and its in a great location for getting to marinas and Food Lion.

This house was perfect for our weekend stay. My daughter and two college friends participated in the SML triathlon. Their parents and I cheered them on. This house was just what we needed. It was fun using the kayaks. We found wood to burn in the fire pit. The weather was wonderful. Dinner was nice out on the deck.

Highly recommend this property for the best lake experience. Location was excellent. House was amazing. Deck and docks and yard were exactly what you’d want for a lake stay. Plenty of stuff to enjoy the water including kayaks and floats. Ice cream boat even stopped by the dock every evening! House was incredible including a very well stocked kitchen. Everything we needed was there. The AC didn’t work when we arrived but called the host and a very nice service tech showed up in less than an hour and took care of the problem right away. Terrific customer service. Super satisfied and will definitely be back again soon!

Family vacation, 3 generations, all enjoyed this home and property to the max! Indoor space was clean, tastefully decorated and had a generously equipped kitchen. Outdoor space had plenty of seating in multiple areas, very large and deep deck, mature shade trees and easy access to gazebo and dock. We enjoyed the wide open view of the lake and sunsets. Lake traffic was not a problem for our group. Would definitely seek out this property to rent again. Thank you VRBO and Long and Foster SML!

This is our fourth time staying here. Continues to be a great experience. The house is very comfortable and well stocked. Nice flooring upgrades throughout. Excellent access to the lake. I'd recommend for families and groups. Hope to return in the future.

Relaxing getaway for the family
We surprised our 4 kiddos on a little getaway since their school went virtual for the week. Our little girl enjoyed turning 8 at the lake. The welcome basket was so nice and the wine was delicious. We enjoyed using the kayaks and were happy to find some life jackets and floats in the shed. We took the kids to the Bridgwater Marina for some pizza and arcades. It was close and made for a fun afternoon. Thank you for opening up your home. it was just what we needed.

Awesome Location
Our family totally enjoyed this house and location on the lake. The house was very well equipped and comfortable. Really enjoyed sitting & eating on the deck, looking at the lake. The kayaks were greatly appreciated by all. We used the hammocks & firepit daily. Our family enjoyed our week and would definitely come back if the property is available.

The Best
The property looks even better in person and the location is to die for. We couldn't have asked for a better combination of cute, cozy, and perfectly located. Also, you might think the property isn't going to have anything (i.e. toilet paper, plastic cutlery, dish/handsoap) based off the fact that they aren't providing linens, but they DO. Pretty much the only thing that wasn't there were the linens, so don't go crazy busy misc. items.

Amazing location!
We had an amazing time with 4 adults and 2 kids. The pictures don’t do this place justice. The house is very roomy and the back yard was huge. We ate most meals on the deck. The lake was perfect and we jumped in and swam every day. The house had kayaks and tubes and noodles that we used too. I only wish we stayed longer, we definitely would come stay here again!

Another summer, another great stay
We had a blast. This is our 3rd July in a row at this property. Once again, the house is excellent. Very clean. Well stocked for all facets of a vacation (cooking utensils, variety of beds, comfortable furniture, grill, deck furniture). Most of all, it's perfectly situated along the main channel of SML. Not far from Food Lion and the state park. Owners/real estate company are very responsive. We'd definitely return.

Ideal Location and lot
Our group had a wonderful vacation this week at Summer Breeze. The swimming, fishing, fire pit and outdoor space can’t be beat! The bedroom configurations were ideal and the kids particularly loved the bunk beds in the bunk room. The kitchen was pretty well stocked and we ate all our meals on the back deck.
There were some things that need work, mainly the cleanliness of the home, which was not up to our expectations. There were used tissues and socks and hair and even a fitted sheet in the bedrooms and kitchen so I don’t think the cleaners are actually cleaning. The dock post cannot be touched without giving splinters, stains on the carpets and an off smell in the home lingers, clearly a known issue since there are plug in air fresheners everywhere. The lack of propane for grilling was a huge disappointment. It seemed ridiculous to have three empty propane tanks for guests. The hammock without gaping holes was relaxing.
I cannot say enough good things about the lake. The water was nice and so close close to the house! The trees in the yard provided shade and we loved listening to the frogs and birds. There is even an ice cream boat that comes by early evenings!
Out group did all agree that we would stay here at Summer Breeze for a return trip and if it were cleaned properly, we would book for next summer without hesitation. Thank you, our group certainly created wonderful memories to cherish for a lifetime!

Great spot and a prime location
Awesome times to be had at this place, loved the view and sunset. We had a ton of fun, not to mention we were laying in one of the hammocks and a momma duck and her baby just waddled up to us and we hand fed them. Definitely would recommend this place.

Family retreat
Great for families! There was a gate on the deck so little ones couldn't venture off to the lake on their own. Kitchen had everything we needed (pots, pans, dishes, mixing bowl, blender, prep knives and cutting boards. The three hammocks were a crowd pleaser and the kids loved sitting out on the dock. The shed had all we needed to play in the water. My daughter (9) learned how to kayak this week. Nice and quiet neighborhood. There was trash pick up at the house. Only a 10-15 minute drive from groceries, gas and restaurants.

This lake house beat our expectations. Very clean and decorated with a lake theme. Quiet location with great views of the lake. Easy walk to the lake. Plenty of outdoor seating. Will definitely return for another visit. Beds were comfortable

Beautiful lot on the lake!!
What a great lot! Beautiful views from most of the home. We loved the yard with lots of hammocks and lawn chairs. Beautiful gazebo and dock. My boys fished everyday from the dock and enjoyed kayaking there too.

Family vacation
Property was better than expected as far as photos online. Only issues were: no cable tv, neighboring dogs continued to poop in our back yard which was the only access my handicap father had to the dock, other than that everything was great.

Great vacation house
The house was well furnished to be comfortable and the back wall of windows provided a beautiful view of the lake. We liked that the house was on one level and so close to the lake. I appreciated that the kitchen was supplied with more than the minimum cooking equipment and they were good quality. The dock/gazebo/firepit were attractive and very nice.

Couple's Weekend
We had a great time getting away to the lake this weekend. The lake and property were amazing. Some of us brought our own kayaks and we used the two provided! Plenty of floats for just hanging in the water. The only downside was we had to haul off our own trash at the end of the weekend but very worth it for everything else the property had to offer! We would absolutely stay here again!!

exceeded expectations
After reading the one concerning review, we were not sure what to expect. The lot is nearly flat with a gentle slope to the water's edge. The property is one level which was excellent for our handicapped daughter to enjoy time on the dock or down at the water.
The water was deep at the dock and that with floats found in the shed, we enjoyed floating , swimming, and kayaking around the lake. The location also allows for great sunsets which we enjoyed every night.
The bad review mentioned that there was nothing available. True we had to bring linens from home because of COVID-19, but we found everything else there. The place was clean , up to date, and there was a bottle of wine from the local winery plus K-cups, chocolates, etc. This was perfect place for our family and has made us want to move the lake. If we come back , we will look up this property.

Great property, terrible property manager
We loved the property- the location is great, the home is nice, the views are spectacular and we really enjoyed SML.
However, the experience with the property manager was really poor and put a damper on the whole trip. For the fees paid, the property manager does next to nothing. Plan to bring not only sheets and towels, but *everything* you could possibly need. There will be no trash bags, no cleaners, no paper towels, nothing. The cleaning fee does not include trash removal (get ready to haul it all to the dump yourself), putting away dishes or straightening up.
When we arrived at the house, the temperature inside was under 55 degrees and everything was pitch black. The property manager claimed to have just checked on the house that day, but surely they would have at least turned on the heat. It took several hours in sweaters before the inside was much warmer than the inside- in November.
They will make sure to send you a separate 10 page lease agreement that's mandatory and waives all your rights as a renter. When you offer feedback, they'll defend themselves and blame you for signing the agreement.
We attempted to address the issue 1:1 via an email to the property manager, and received threats back from them. They then left us an unwarranted and vindictive rating. Not only are they not much help, they're pretty unpleasant when you try to address any issues.
We'd love to stay at the property again, but only if the owners ditch Long and Foster property management.

Short end of summer get away
This house was perfect for our family. Very clean and plenty of space. The location on the lake was really busy. The kids loved watching all the action on the water but I like a little less boat traffic. Overall wonderful stay.

Wonderful stay!
Our group of four adults and three kids had an excellent time. This house is situated in a great spot on the lake. Beautiful views. There was easy access to the water. We easily boated on the main channel and got to the bridge and the dam without trouble.
The house itself is well designed and very comfortable. The house comes provisioned with most essential items (adding to convenience). It was great to be able to use a grill, fire pit, and water toys during our stay.
The rental process was straightforward and the property owners were responsive to our questions.
I would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.

GREAT STAY
We had an amazing four days at SML this past weekend. We LOVED the house! It was super clean, way bigger than we had imagined, & you can’t beat the view & backyard. The kitchen was VERY well stocked with EVERYTHING you would need to cook or bake. We wished there was WIFI but it wasn’t an issue. We also wanted to note to bring your own hair dryer. They provided one but it was smoking and on the fritz. Lol again, not an issue but just something to note. We would definitely stay again!

Great getaway
8 of us stayed at the house for Memorial Day weekend and I also brought my boat and docked it at the dock provided by the rental home. Be advised if you do bring your boat, it will get ROCKED during the day. Lots of boaters are disrespectful and go very fast near the dock area. This is nothing against the house, I just want all future boaters to know. The property is perfect. It's one of the few flat pieces of property on the lake. It has a huge deck with lots of chairs. The beds are comfortable and the TV is huge in the living room and has a limited DirecTV subscription. A couple things that we didn't care for. The refrigerator doesn't have an Ice maker and it's a smaller refrigerator. We make a lot of drinks with ice and the realty company volunteered to bring over 4 bags of ice for us which was greatly appreciated. The deck area and gazebo/dock had a lot of cobwebs that we saw and/or walked through without knowing. Those areas need a good cleaning/power wash. We cleaned up many with a broom so we could enjoy those areas. The entire back of the house is filled with windows so the views from inside the house are amazing. Lastly parking was extremely easy because the house has a circular driveway. We would stay here again

Nice home and enjoyed the stay. The porches would be nice if they were covered with roof.
However, we had a storm come through while we were there and lots of strong winds and the trees in the back yard are a little questionable as to whether they will remain standing. They were popping and cracking during the storm and they look like they need some inspection. Just wanted to bring this to someone's attention in order to try and prevent any damage to the home in the future (because if they fall it will cause damage to the house).

The lot was nice and even. Not hilly. Home was clean and comfortable. All would have been good except for the rain. Not your fault. Not able to find a good place for a meal. Perhaps after memorial day would be better. Would i stay there again. Yes. Swimming was good. Kayaks not comfortable.
