Great place in Strawberry right on the river. Our host Jim was excellent and extremely welcoming before and during our visit. We ended up driving up in a blizzard and he was checking in to make sure we made it. The house was perfect for our group with lots of space and good communal cooking, eating and socializing areas. The area is beautiful and we couldn’t have had a better experience. Would definitely go again!

The property is very well maintained and in a beautiful location. The river view is amazing and there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy it. Everything was clean and we had no issues at all. All communications with the owner were detailed and clear. We’ll definitely look up this property for our next stay!

Our family had a great stay at the river cabin and had perfect snowy weather during our time there. The cabin was fully equipped, the beds were comfortable and the fireplaces added to the cozy environment. The owners were available for any questions we had. We have been going to the Briner cabin for nearly 20 years! As kids, my siblings and I would camp at Pinecrest Lake for 2 weeks every summer. When we had our own children we wanted an easier set up, so we looked into cabins. It took us 2 summers, but then we stumbled across this perfect, river-front cabin. From the moment we stepped into the property we knew it was the one! Always clean, roomy, n had all the amenities we needed! We bring our children up to the cabin in the summers and we've all built core memories; fishing in the meadow, strolling to the bridge, morning coffee n rock painting on the deck, n finding 'gold' in the river. This year, I decided to change it up a lil bit and we booked for winter! Although it wasn't a white Christmas, we discovered a new appreciation for the cabin and it's surroundings. Also, this last trip, I forgot a sentimental set of jewelry; invaluable to me, really. When I got back home n realized it, I immediately contacted Jim. He responded quickly, as always, n helped keep me calm. He contacted his cleaning crew, who diligently looked for my items. I was so anxious, I think I must've called 3x in 1 hour! But each time, Jim was understanding and gracious. After going above beyond, he called saying they found it! I ugly cried. My family has celebrated birthdays, engagements, retirements,reunions and countless family milestones in this wonderful home, n this time was no different. Briner cabin will always have a special place in our hearts.

I hesitate to sing the praises of this cabin as a part of me wants to keep this little slice of heaven all to myself because if everyone knew how great it was, I don’t think there would ever be any reservations available. This cabin is wonderful. The location is perfect. We will definitely be back.

A very comfy cabin in an absolutely stunning setting! It’s rare to find a cabin large enough for our kids and grandkids, and where they can catch trout a few steps from the cabin. It’s a treasure!

What a wonderful home to share with our family. Very comfortable and well equipped. Plenty of room for our kids and grandkids. Pinecrest Lake was a hit with everyone. We will be back next year.

Just had an amazing stay at the Briner cabin in Strawberry. Lots of room, great deck and sits right on the Stanislaus river. Wonderful sleeping to the sound of the river. Thanks for a great stay!

Stayed here 4 nights in July. I've rented a lot of cabins between Strawberry, Long Barn and Cold Springs and never had one this close to the river. We had 2 families staying with kids. Room to spare. Brother's family was camping in the area and had dinner with us on the way home and there was still adequate room. Owner was friendly and communicative. Like every cabin I've stayed at in the area, upper level gets a bit cooked in the sun during peak summer months. Hot during the height of the day but cools off nice in evening. Bottom level stays cool. We'll stay here again. If we can find a time when its not already booked. Thanks!

We had a family reunion with our grown children and grandchildren at the Briner cabin. We all agreed that it was the nicest cabin we had ever stayed in. The location right on the river was wonderful and everything we could have needed or wanted was provided. We can't wait to return!

We had a great time at this property. It was a perfect location for our families. You’re practically on the River. We took a quick drive up to Kennedy Meadows for a hike and then came back to the house to relax.

Great location to Pinecrest and Kennedy Meadows. Being on the river was a special treat! Lots of water right at your feet. Home was large and comfortable. Good cabin vibe!

We loved staying in this house with amazing river access. Our boys, ages 10 & 12 rated our stay as a 10 out of 10 and we couldn't agree more.

Extremely good communication from host, went above and beyond to make sure the place was well prepared for our stay. House was very clean and well maintained. Location is fantastic, right on the river for amazing ambience during meals/just hanging out outdoors. Very close to dodge ridge for skiing which was still open. Highly recommended

We loved our stay. Perfect cabin for me and 4 teens, and easy access to Dodge. Lots of rooms and sleeping space, 3 bathrooms, and a big kitchen and living area. The outside was fantastic, and right on the river. The owner was very communicative and proactive about telling us how to navigate the forecasted snow. We had our dogs too, and the cabin was just perfect.

Second time booking this cabin and it didn't disappoint. I mostly enjoyed the view and the sound of the water while relaxing on the deck. Will definitely be returning. Thank you Jim for being a great host!

Loved the sights & sounds of the river. So peaceful & beautiful.

We keep coming back after summer as this location and features can’t be beat. Jim is always quick to respond to inquiries. Screens were added downstairs but including the bedrooms upstairs would be helpful. Rustic comfy cabin right on the river with something for all ages to enjoy. Can’t wait till next summer!

Enjoyed the place the only thing this time was not enough toilet paper but store close by.

Outstanding! Perched right above the river, the Briner's wonderful cabin has three different decks from which to survey the river upstream and downstream. We used them all for dining, reading, and just hanging out. The lowest deck is great for watching the kids fishing (and catching!) or watching our family float in and out of the eddies and just enjoy the river.

Overall great as alwaya—except the soft beds are horrible for our backs. Would love the place to have new mattresses and some new screens to keep out the bugs
