Beautiful surroundings. Quiet and restorative. Welcoming, tasteful, comfortable and clean. Breakfast at a choice of times to suit us. Plenty of options and also happy to cook other variations. Delicious.

The B&B was lovely, the location was very beautiful and the breakfast was good.

It would be nice to have some form of transportation close by to travel into town. You can walk, it takes about 20 minutes, muddy if raining. It was a nice walk along the water.

What a beautiful place and what a friendly delightful owner. Such a pleasure to stay here. Thank you so much to them for looking after us and being so helpful and generous.

Alas we need a slightly bigger bed nowadays. Absolutely not the fault of the hotel but because of my husbands sleep apnea machine we just can’t cope with a normal double anymore.

Rachel and Sid run this privately owned B&B Present in a beautiful location. With views of the mountains and a canal running along side the property. The room has been very cosy and we had a lovely time. The host were exceptional, very inspired by what they do.

The steps up to the 2nd floor in the B&B were very narrow on one end due to it being circular and difficult carrying up our luggage. Was very careful in walking up and down.

The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast-room was so beautifully presented! Sid and Rachel were amazing hosts and provided us with many area sightseeing ideas. The countryside and family marina at the Ty Newydd B & B was better than the best!! I will recommend this wonderful vacation home to all my family and friends as a Must STAY for beauty and elegance. We were seeing the countryside of my ancestors from Wales. It has been the high point of our entire trip! We are intending to come back and stay another time and explore even more of the Brecon National park.

It provided exactly the peace and quiet I was craving. Picturesque, on a canal. Welcoming hosts provided wonderful breakfasts. (They have self catering cottages too, but I like the pampering). Easy parking. Close to Brecon Beacons, and a couple of excellent pubs. Room 1 had expansive views, very comfy double bed, plenty of room.

I’d check you’re in Room 1 or 2, because the stairs get a bit hairy up to 3 and 4. They kindly moved me down when they saw the difficulty I was having. I’d like much brighter bed reading lights - I find this everywhere.

Everything. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Also very helpful after seeing my boyfriend all wet after falling in the river. The room was so nice, clean and cosy and we felt so good in there that we didn't want to leave. We had very beautiful views from our room and we enjoyed them a lot. The breakfast was also outstanding and we asked were we could buy the sausages they were serving, because we wanted to bring some of them back home with us. Highly recommend and definitely will be coming back!

The location is really beautiful with views across the hills both from our room and from breakfast, with a lovely garden and the canal basin nearby. You can walk along the canal right from the door, and there are plenty of walks within a short car trip. The room was comfortable and clean. It was also really quiet which is a rare quality. Breakfast was great, especially as we got the table in the conservatory.

From the moment we arrived we were treated as part of the family. Where Ty Newydd was situated, by the canal and with uninterrupted views of the Brecon Beacons, was absolutely perfect. The breakfasts set us up for the day and our host couldn't have been more helpful when we asked for instructions to find off the beaten track locations. Ideal for experienced walkers and those less ambitious.
