Our week in the house was relaxing and fun! Check in was flexible and easy. The house was better than the pictures and the beach was beautiful. Beach was clean. House had plenty space for party of 7! Host was receptive and thoughtful. We would definitely stay again.

If you’re reading this review and you’re looking for bright and shiny, move on. Homes that are right on the beach require regular maintenance and this home is no exception. However, if you are looking for a place to stay that is family friendly - large enough to accommodate eight adults - this is a wonderful choice! Each of our family units had their own bedroom and bath. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the dining room table was large enough for all off us to gather around. The views and beach access were so amazing!! The only down side is that there are no hand rails with any of the stairs. There are three steps to get into the house, but once those are navigated, everything on the first floor is accessible. Our local host was wonderful. She more than met our needs! So, if you are looking for a large, clean house that is right on the beach, this could be for you! (Bonus - falling asleep to the sound of powerful waves after marveling at the stars was so relaxing!)

The property is located in a great spot that is quiet and peaceful but central to many of the different activities we traveled to during our visit. The house was nice overall but there were a few items in need of replacement. The beach chairs were all rusted and broke making them unusable. The smoke detectors appeared to be missing in the house which was somewhat concerning. The beach where the house is located is great for beach activities. Overall it was a nice place to stay in a great location.

This beachside property was perfect for our group! Each person had their own space with separate living areas, providing plenty of privacy and comfort. We especially loved the outdoor furniture, perfect for lounging and enjoying the evenings. The kitchen was fantastic—fully stocked with all the pots and utensils we needed. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beach!

House had some maintenance issues sliding door but over all it was great. Served our needs wonderful. The property is a little trick to get into with a minivan. A large SUV may have serious issues gettint to the property.

The property is right on the beach. The four bedrooms and four and half bathrooms were perfect for all of us. We utilized all the amenities including boogie boards and outside shower. The food were amazing especially the elephant truck. We had a blast!! Thomas

The house was ample room for all 9 of us. Bathroom for each bedroom, the beach was right out the slider. Lots of shell gathering for the kids and running around in the surf. We saw serval whales in the distance spouting and breaching! They supplied several snorkels and fins, beach chairs, large beach umbrella, boogie boards etc… made it very nice not to have to rent and wait in lines. Lots of beaches to choose from and the public beach at Turtle Bay was 15 minutes away. It was a very enjoyable stay. Definitely a must with a family!

Looking for a great place to recharge and relax after spending some time in Oahu? This is a wonderful place to do just that. We were a party of 7 who slept comfortably in this beach house. The deck led directly to a nice beach and superb views of surfers, parasailers, and occasionally whales (make sure you bring binoculars if you come during whale season.
The house sits back off the main street and feels completely safe and other than the waves crashing, completely quiet. The house needs a little TLC, the back doors slide awkwardly, the steps down to the beach lack a good handrail, and the garage needs to be cleaned out of broken chairs and toys. The kitchen is well stocked with mostly everything you need to cook, but some more kitchen utensils would have been nice.
Communication with the host was good, but a couple of times I felt like we were discussing separate houses. The listing and instructions mentioned a code of the gate and an extra key but when we arrived we noticed that the gate was only manually operated and the key was being used for the property next door. Also, when inquiring about hairdryers, we were told there were none, but there is one in each king bathroom.
However, all of these little fixes did not negatively affect our time and we appreciated the hot water (especially in the outside shower), the quick-heating appliances, and a spectacular view.

It was my wife’s and mine 45th anniversary. 2 sons and their spouses all over 40 years old and my wife and I were here for 10 days. It is literally right on the beach. We enjoyed the Sunsets, Huge waves, the surfers, spotting whales, Sunsets (again), the privacy of the property, the roominess of the inside, Sunrises, BBQing, and we were so centrally located to all the North Shore fun. We are looking forward to coming back with our

Great location, 50m from sunset beach, walking distances to small store and food outlet's. Idyllic location. Big house, few yrs old, but with tonnes of amenities and good open living space. Had a large garage, which was great for our boards.

This is our 2nd year staying at the house. Highly recommend and it’s perfect for a large family. Can’t wait to return again.

Absolutely loved our stay here. We loved the house, the deck, the yard, we cooked a good bit and enjoyed having a nice grocery store just down the road. Every day was special. We loved the location and the sunsets were spectacular every night. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to spend time in such a cool location. Our kids loved watching the surfers from the deck and we’ll always cherish the memories.

You can’t beat this location and view, we saw whales every day. The house has a great kitchen/living area and a bathroom for each bedroom. The house has everything you need including a washer and dryer, which was nice to have. The screens need to be replaced. The house felt secure with the gate entrance. Overall highly recommend.

Location location location!
This beach bungalow was perfect for our group of 6 adults here for a wedding. We loved watching the many surfers and the whales breaching, We loved riding the beach cruisers, walking on the beach and watching the sunsets! One of the best food trucks on the North Shore (The Elephant Shack) was right across the street - delicious Thai food! Many thanks to our host!

Our experience renting this property was seamless and far exceeded our expectations. The house was the perfect size for our family. Everyone had their own space and we had plenty of room to gather together. The deck was perfect for spectacular views of the beach, ocean and glorious sunsets. We grilled out a couple of nights and on Christmas Eve we made my grandma’s sugar cookies to leave for Santa! We decorated a surf board with lights and Christmas bulbs and my granddaughter made a star for the top. We put Christmas lights on the deck. All in all, we had a wonderful time. Thank you for the wonderful experience Tara!

Great escape from work and stress. This North Shore beachhome has it all. Terrific beach and surf, sunset views, large central kitchen for family gatherings, coffee and cocktails, and proximity to scuba, golf, luah, food trucks, and cage shark diving. We did it all, including daily shaved ice treats. Congrats to Tara for hosting us. Thanks again for the good times!

Could not have asked for a better location near Sunset Beach. Owners were a pleasure to work with. It's a little warm in the main living area, but everyone had a great time and found the house comfortable. Would love to stay here again.

Amazing viewa
Our family spent a week at the house and absolutely loved it. The views are amazing and being right next to the bike path was perfect for us. The house had everything you could possibly use from surfboards to bicycles etc. Some prior reviews indicated a problem accessing the beach however that was not our experience and it was really easy to walk down the stairs to the beach for everyone from the house. Highly recommend this house. Mahalo to Tara for a great stay.

Beautiful views, disappointing Beach access
We stayed 9 days, 8 nights in this Beach front home on the North Shore. There were 7 Adults and it was more than enough room for all of us with 4 bathrooms and two master sweets. Two of our members of our crew could not even access the Beach from the house though due to the lack of steps to reach the beach and unfortunate lack of beach once you made it off the steps. My Mom is 78, avid hiker and she didn't feel safe attempting this. Another friend in her 50's with poor ankle stability was concerned she might re-injure if she attempted to scale down. It was disappointing to back beach front prices for really no beach access for our entire group. I expressed this concern over 8 months prior to our stay with no respsonse other than "we are closely monitoring the situation". All in all our stay was great, but I feel like the advertisement for this home needs to be a little more honest about what you are getting in regards to the beach. Photos on line are not accurate to what is there.

The best house!
We finally made it after having to cancel twice, and the house did not disappoint. Owners were easy to work with! Hesitant to say how much we loved this house because I don’t want it to book up when we want to come again. Literally the closest house to the water. Amazing views. So convenient to walk down the steps and be at the beach and can go back and forth to the house as needed. Spent the mornings and evenings out on the deck taking it all in. You could even see some whales in the distance. Spacious bedrooms and everyone had a bathroom. The house came with bikes and boogie boards that got a lot of use. The day we left my daughter was already trying to plan another trip back.

Perfect Beach Front North Shore Home!
Short Version: Rent this house! You will not be disappointed!
We were a group of 7 adults (friends/family) and 1 almost 2 year old and this house was so perfect! The open kitchen/dining/living area was great for relaxing together, eating together, playing games etc. The deck overlooking the ocean was a wonderful spot for morning coffee/tea, afternoon reading, and sunset views (really, any time of day). We visited in early February and so the North Shore ocean was, as expected, pretty strong with high waves (ie: mostly no swimming days, just surfing) but it was so nice to have a beach right there - perfect for sun bathing, walks, playing in the sand. Additionally, there are several beaches better suited to swimming or snorkeling very close by. All in all, the perfect location for our friends/family group trip!
The house is well equipped with ocean toys, baby items, and cooking items, all in excellent condition! The toddler loved the sand castle toys and bucket provided. We were able to cook as many meals at home as we wanted - bonus points for the tupperware provided that let us store leftovers easily!
The house is a quick walk away from a local coffee/acai bowl place (Sunrise Shack) and is right on a sidewalk that stretches for miles and is great for bike riding, walking, running etc (and you have great views of the beaches while you do).
Each room has its own AC unit and fan which was perfect as different group members prefer different temperatures for sleeping. Each room also has it's own bathroom (basically - the one downstairs bedroom/bathroom isn't technically in the same room, but close enough) with the downstairs half bathroom perfect for communal use.
Really a great, beautiful house in a perfect location with excellent views. The bedrooms were all nice. Everything was updated and clean. Showers were all nice with good pressure. Well placed hoses outside on both sides of the house for rinsing off sand.
One note for a large group: maneuvering into the parking for this house and around the island in general was pretty challenging in our 11 passenger van. Doable, but challenging (and required some patience). When we do this again, we'll probably rent two smaller vehicles.
All in all, don't wait to book this place! It was perfect and if we ever do the North Shore again, this is where we'll plan to stay!

Paradise!
This house was idyllic - four bedrooms each with their own bathroom, humpback whales every day (bring your binoculars), waves, surfers, sunsets (green flash almost every evening)... The house was well equipped and the owner is extremely responsive. What more could you want?

Amazing location and views
This location was perfect for our family of 7, three generations of adults. The views are stunning and we enjoyed many beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The ocean and the beach change daily, it was mesmerizing.
The open concept provided plenty of space for everyone to spread out and be together. The bedrooms were lovely, and everyone was very comfortable. It is a short drive to Haleiwa, Turtle Bay and Waimea Valley.
This house was as advertised and more. Tara's descriptions and instructions were spot on. So much so for the first time at a VRBO I did not reach out once with questions or concerns. Tara is a wonderful host and owner.
We are already talking about a return trip!

Pictures don’t do justice for this amazing rental!
We love coming to the North Shore so when we saw this listing near Sunset beach and super close to Ted’s Bakery we decided to book. The house is so beautiful with lovely details throughout….the pictures listed don’t really capture all the beauty. The location can’t be beat! We loved using barbecue and sitting on back patio having dinner, watching the surfers and enjoying the sunset. The sound of the waves can be heard and seen throughout the whole house! Loved getting sweets and dinners from Ted’s too. Our kids, 8 and 10, enjoyed running in the grass, chasing lizards and playing in the sand and waves right in front of house. The outdoor hot shower was awesome.
We definitely splurged on this stay but this is by far our favorite rental we have ever stayed in.

This place was beautiful. Tara was extremely helpful and accommodating. With all the Covid restrictions, she was flexible with us as well. Her house is well stocked w/ everything you need to cook at the house if you choose to and for a day at the beach. The patio is a great place to just relax and watch the sunset after a day of adventures around the island or a busy day at the beach. Tara provides everything you need and this is certainly a comfortable home away from home. Everything was well kept and the décor theme is in tune w/ the island and had a welcoming feeling. Beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable home
There was a plenty of space for 6 adults celebrating a milestone birthday. The layout of the house provided several areas to relax, sunbathe, eat, or walk down to your own private beach. The owner is very responsive, friendly, knowledgeable about the surrounding area. There was a broken stair leading down to the beach she had it fixed by the next day. Just an amazing vacation all around. I would definitely go back. The only preference thing I could note is throughout the house the lighting is very dim.
If you want to treat yourself to a NON-tourist Hawaiian visit, this is the place. Turtle Bay is around the corner, Shark Diving is minutes from the house, and so much more!

Hard to imagine a better view
Great place to stay on the North Shore. We were able to walk to Sunset Beach during the dayand just step out on the back deck for amazing Sunsets and views of surfers. It's very centrally located to all of the places most know about in the area. Look up the hike to see the pillbox...
