Beautiful house on Kentucky lake! Great dock on the water to store our boat. Kayaks were provided for our use and we had a great time!

We enjoyed our vacation and would definitely stay at this home again. It was clean and comfortable. It was a good setup for our two family units. Our son and daughter-in-law and granddaughters utilized the downstairs with the three bedrooms and a bathroom and we used the bedroom and bathroom upstairs. We especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces, both upstairs and downstairs, for quiet morning coffee or playing with our granddaughters. The owner was responsive and helpful and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We enjoyed the wine and cheese welcome gift too! Since we were near Moor’s and the marina, we ate at Ralph’s which was good and enjoyed ice cream at the marina almost every day when we were out boating. We definitely recommend Larkin’ Memories!

Nicely appointed home, plenty of room inside and on decks outside, master bedroom on main floor a plus for the less energetic. Huge boat dock- though navigating to it in the wind is a test. Our 2nd year staying here and friendly property owner is continuing to improve the property to make your stay even more enjoyable. Will definitely try to stay here again.

The only reason I don't stay at Lakin Memories when I visit Kentucky Lake is because its already booked. This place is more popular then fleas on a dog. The home is fantastic , the host Ben and his wife have become like family. Oh did I mention the dock for your boat. I want to live in this home. The property Manager Michelle is super helpfull. We will be back!

This trip was a reunion(40 years) with college friends and a quick trip from our adult children and friends. The weather was perfect and allowed for morning coffee on the deck, corn hike in the evening, and boating during the day. The best collection of meals occurred in the spacious kitchen as others relaxes with a beverage. We all love being together and the house created a cozy and relaxing environment. Ben checked in on us by phone to be sure we had all that we needed. Overall we had a wonderful time- thank you so much!

Lakin' Memories is a comfortable home with roomy bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and great upper and lower decks. The dock was perfect for swimming and floating. Though we don't fish, I believe it would be a fisherman's paradise. We saw some big ones. The owner and property manager were very helpful and easy to work with. Overall, a wonderful place to stay, play, and relax. Thanks for sharing.

Very impressive upgrades to deck from last stay wonderful coming back next year

From beginning to end ~ Lakin' Memories was the place to be! So quiet a neighborhood @ all hours. Michelle got us started and was always available. Both decks with amazing Bluetooth became our hangout and the taste of smores called us to the firepit in the evenings. 12 in our party, plenty of space all around! Swam often from dock and kayaked in cove~ fun stuff! Ben was quick to respond, super host. Overall a 5 star experience! You won't be disappointed.

We have rented many VRBO properties over the years, and Lakin’ Memories was truly one of the best. Kentucky Lake is a calm place to boat and safely do water sports, and this property was the perfect place to come home to. It was clean, comfortable, and so well-stocked! This place had it all—extra comfy blankets, cooking spices, magazines, movies, books, games, pantry staples! We appreciated the welcome gift basket too! The layout worked well for two families. We all felt like we had enough space. On a vacation like this, the outside of the home is important as well. The dock was perfect for our boat and two wave runners. We easily parked two trailers and three vehicles in the paved driveway/next to the driveway on the gravel. We rented a different property in the area last year and had some issues with the steep parking for our trailers. In addition, the property is conveniently located close to Moor’s Marina, the sand beach, and the quarry. Have I mentioned the decks? Beautiful and so welcoming! We spent a lot of our down time outside enjoying the hammock, patio furniture, and built-in Bluetooth speakers. Both Michelle, the property manager, and Ben, the owner, were so kind and communicated promptly to answer any questions we had. Lakin’ Memories lives up to its name—great family memories were made!

Our group had originally scheduled to arrive just before the state lockdown due to the pandemic. Ben was very understanding and we rescheduled our trip for October. The property was beyond our expectations. Great proximity to Moors. Highly recommend this property. We will be back.

This was our second visit and we really enjoyed our time.

We enjoyed our time on the lake. The house was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and boating all day. This was perfect and we loved the house.

This was our first experience renting a private home. The property was easy to find, and very clean. The property manager met us there shortly after we arrived to go over anything that we might have missed as we explored the property. She also was telling us about the surrounding area. We had a very enjoyable week there. With memories around the fire pit, sitting on the back deck, making dinners together after we spent hours on the lake, and evening card games. My family has asked that I reserve the property for next year.

Excellent location (near Moors Marina and launch ramp), great layout (plenty of room for many family members), responsive property manager (within minutes) and outstanding back deck (for morning coffee and conversation).

House and ease of your own dock were great! Good space for 2 families to spread out. Super close to Moors marina....recommend the ice cream. Michelle and the community were a big help when we had a boat mishap and thankfully it all worked out! We will definitely will come back!

FANTASTIC

My extended family and I stayed for an entire week and had a fabulous time. House was exactly as described, brand new and everything worked perfectly. Spent most of the time on the private dock and the new 2nd story deck overlooking the property. Property manager was on call and very responsive. We had one minor issue with shower drain and the manager was out the same day to fix the issue. U would definitely recommend for those looking to stay at Kentucky Lake! Only suggestion for improvement would be to add more trash containers outside. With 10 people there we had to make multiple runs to the marina to drop off trash....luckily the marina is very close.

Our family is new to boating, and this was the week where we really put some hours on our boat and confirmed that we’re glad to be a boating family. Ben is a very genuine host, and goes out of his way to connect and ensure you’re enjoying yourself. We were there when the new deck system (massive upper and lower levels) was being completed and the new deck furniture delivered during our stay as well. 3 of the 4 bedrooms were above average size. During our stay in mid-June, we saw very few bugs on the balcony and no mosquitos. Apparently the property is treated for mosquitos year round. There’s plenty of room for kids to play, but they shouldn’t plan on kicking a soccer ball back and forth. There is a significant grade to the entire property. Covered dock appeared new, and held our 24ft water sports boat with tower no problem. During our stay the dock was protected in the cove and even with some wind, our boat was pretty tranquil in the slip. Location near Moors resort was convenient for launch, recover, fuel, food, etc. We are already planning our return.

I started scheduling short KY Lake trips with my children, their spouses, and my grandchildren 6 years ago for the purpose of making great family memories. It took us awhile to find the right location and we enjoyed it for a few years until our family outgrew the living space. This year we stayed at Lakin’ Memories and it was wonderful. The accommodations in this new home are very nice with a fully equipped kitchen with lots of extras. The setting is beautiful and we had the use of the boat dock for our pontoon and jet ski. We appreciated the courteous service we received from the owners and thank them for making our trip memorable. We hope to return next year.

This was a great house in a great location. Having a living space both upstairs and downstairs was perfect for our family of 11 adults, 4 children and a baby. The deck, dock and location on the lake were perfect. We're already talking about when we can rent the house again and enjoy another family weekend of boating!
