Really enjoyed our stay! Loved sitting outside and enjoyed the beautiful view of the white mountains.

John, I could go on and on about our stay at your home. 6 adults and 7 kids. It was pure bliss.... the gorgeous master bedroom, shower, hot tub at night, lovely campfire with the kids running around the huge yard... the list goes on! Thank you for the great communication whenever I had a question. We enjoyed tubing on the river, watering holes and side by side buggys through Jericho Mt. Hope to back one day!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful mountain home just minutes from Sunday River. Kids loved the game room and bunk rooms downstairs, as well as the hot tub overlooking the ski mountain. Kitchen was well equipped and the owner was so accommodating and responsive to every question we had. We hope to be able to come back here for a ski weekend again next year!!

This was the perfect house for an escape to the mountains! Three families stayed here together for one week and everyone had a fabulous time! The house is positively stunning and the location gives a beautiful view of Sunday River Mountain. We had a couple minor issues but the host is so courteous and prompt in his replies. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! We had five young children (ages 3-5) and they absolutely loved sleeping in the bunk bed rooms downstairs. The adults loved cooking in the gorgeous kitchen and grilling out back. We did hiking and exploring by day and s’mores by the fire pit with games, and even movies outdoors at night. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect getaway. Thank you so much!!

My family usually spends a week in August on the Maine coast but we weren’t able to find anything this year so we thought we’d try something new. Well, we had so much fun we may never go back to the coast again! First of all, the house is beautiful - airy, filled with windows and light and yes, the sound of the river is heavenly. We had the doors and windows open the whole time and loved falling asleep to the sound of the river. Bonus - it blocked the noise of both of us snoring so we slept extra well! We spent our time biking from the house, hiking or floating on the tubes in the river. Even sitting in the house catching up on work emails was relaxing. Sugarloaf area is a bit quiet in the summer but there are some great restaurants within 20 minute drive and something was always open. Scott the owner was terrific - very communicative and helpful and we are extremely jealous that he gets to stay at this house whenever he wants. We will definitely be back!

This is a beautiful house that was great for the three families we had staying here. The location is awesome as Bethel is close by offering plenty of outings for food and things to do, and when you want to get out in nature, there's no shortage of places close by, particularly Grafton State Park. The property manager, John, was great. There were a few issues with the house upon arrival, and John did his best to get everything resolved as fast as possible. For example, AC was dead, and despite the summer being incredibly busy for HVAC businesses, he has a new unit there that week. Thankfully the weather was beautiful most of the time and AC was not needed. I truly appreciate the effort John made.

We enjoyed a solid, good week. The cozy house really offers ample space to gather yet spread out. The owner responded almost immediately whenever needed. We practically never stay at a property more than once because we like diversity but we would stay here again. One note: we didn't realize that we had to buy firewood. The store was out except for a sad bundle wrapped in wasteful plastic and we didn't know in advance so we couldn't bring some from home which was a disappointment and a bit unexpected at the price point. Otherwise, a perfect place.

Three couples had a fantastic weekend of skiing, enjoying each other, enjoying this beautiful home and watching Tom win his 7th Super Bowl ring! could not have asked for a better weekend, Thank you!

We stayed at the Mountain View Lodge for a second time and absolutely loved it. The house is large and great for groups. It was immaculate when we arrived and it's fully stocked with everything you need to cook, sleep and relax. The hot tub was amazing in the cold weather and although we didn't use the fire pit outside much, the indoor fire place was perfect to heat the house. John was the best host - he was very responsive and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Will be staying at John's house yet again in the future!

This house is perfect for a getaway! The view of the mountains from the skylight makes you feel like you’re outside even from the sofa. The backyard is huge and my daughter loved flying her kite there. The deck is perfect for outdoor dining (and the grill is easy to work!). There are many little gems in the small town that we enjoyed while staying there, but mostly it was the beautiful home and the property that will bring us back. The host is incredibly hospitable and responsive as well.

We had a group of 4 parents and 5 "kids" aged 19-23 and John's house worked out perfectly for our needs. We could all eat or hang out in the spacious dining/kitchen area together or we could split our group between the upstairs and downstairs living rooms. Rustic looking from the outside, the house is stocked with modern amenities and very clean. Huge windows show off the close proximity of the Sunday River ski resort. We got good use out of the fire pit, hot tub and ping pong table. We took advantage of the info John left about local activities and played golf at Sunday River, hiked, kayaked and visited local swimming holes (Frenchman's Hole was our favorite). We also took a longer trip to go white water rafting. We even had to reach out to John a couple times with questions and he was very responsive. Can't say enough good things and we hope to be back!

Amazing house, great location

Our group consisted of 6 adults and 7 teens mixed boys and girls... the home had something to keep everyone happy. We loved how the home was decorated all the artwork was super cool. Sonos system was nice to have and the direct tv worked really well which is not Always the case... when going to the mountain to ski it was super close and easy to get on and off even though we werent ski in and out... really enjoyed our stay would recommend without hesitation.

This house is easily in the top 5 of best rental homes I've stayed at, and I've stay at quite a few. The house has a VERY modern, yet homey, feel. The check-in process was easy and painless. The host was very good with communication. Everything we needed, the house already had, which was huge! Cleanliness was top notch as well. Overall, there is nothing bad I can say about this rental home. If you're looking to stay in Newry, look no further!

Beautiful home! The home was spotless clean. We traveled down for tough mountain challenge. the property owner was easily accessible, and wonderful to deal with. There was very many perks to this home including a sonos sound system, camp fire place, and ping pong table. I can not possibly come up with any but positive comments at this property!

Beautiful house minutes away from Sunday River (and a quick walk to the Matterhorn). Very comfortable for our group of 9 adults. Fireplace, hot tub, ping pong table. The Sonos system was also great for playing music too. Owner was very responsive via e-mail before the trip providing great recommendations for dining, etc. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again for next year's trip.

John's house and his accommodations made for a truly easy, special, and fun weekend at Sunday River. The location of the house was prime; a 1 minute walk to the Matterhorn. The house was beautiful and spacious and the heated floors were a very nice touch on the single digit weather. Each room was very clean which is more than appreciated. The house is made family fun weekends.

We had a wonderful experience living at this home....right from the time of booking till we left the property. Firstly, working with John was such a pleasant experience. Right from the first interaction...till we left the home. ...he was extremely easy to work with and very flexible to all our requests..... was very prompt to answer all our queries before and during the stay. Now coming back to the home...what a beautiful and immaculate property it is at a gorgeous location. We were a group of 14 people including 5 kids in the house with abundant space for everyone. All the rooms and bathrooms are tastefully done making the stay very pleasurable and comfortable. Everything in the house has been provided very thoughtfully and also in the right quantities... keeping all the age groups in mind. The Sonos music system is such a great addition to the property....making our life so easy managing our music. Loved the Hotub with the Mountain View :-). Kids had a ball in the basement...in their bunk beds and open space. Doing Barbecue in the evening with such a beautiful view...was fun and lovely experience. All in all, it was an amazing experience....we would love to come back and stay here ...and also would highly recommend this property to the other travelers.

We had such a great time at John's home! We were a group of three families and had plenty of space to spread out and have a good time. The house was beautiful and tastefully decorated in a mountain theme. The kitchen was the perfect gathering spot for the adults to share cocktails and laughs and the basement a great spot to "stash" the kids. We loved the hot tub and fireplace. It's also so close to the mountain - an easy drive to drop off/pick-up or park. The views were lovely. And as parents with young children (still in a crib) the rooms were a good size to fit a pack and play. In the master bedroom, we used the closet as their room. We would absolutely be back to stay at John's and hope to make this an annual tradition!

Stayed with a group of 14 for a long weekend, and had the best time. John was an awesome host, very responsive and provided us with everything we needed to know before, and during our stay. Cannot beat this location, a mere 5 minute drive to Sunday River, and steps away from the Matterhorn Ski Bar. House fit us all very comfortably, and the views of the mountain are breathtaking. Would definitely stay here again!
