Location was excellent. Breathtaking views to the caldera and sunsets.

The host was very kind. She met us late to get the keys and arranged a taxi to the house. She was very available. The view was amazing. We watched the sunset one night from our balcony. The location was very good - within walking distance of shops , restaurants & the bus station to go to Oia. We had a washing machine that we kept busy too.

It was pricey but a great choice for our family of 5!

Santoriviera's location cannot be faulted. It has a terrace which overlooks the Caldera and on our first evening there, we witnessed the most exquisite sunset. Words cannot do it justice. Sitting on the terrace, drinking wine and watching the sun set over the Caldera, was a life defining moment for us. What added to it was the music coming from the restaurant Barolo, which is just a stone's throw from Santoriviera, as a result of which, we could also enjoy the sights and sounds emanating from Barolo, long after the sun had set, not to mention enjoy a meal there too. The apartment is also very close to the town of Fira, about a 5 minute walk to the restaurants and shops, which was great! Lastly, to our surprise, there was a cleaning service that came in daily to the apartment to wash any glassware or dirty dishes and we had our towels changed once during our 4 day 3 night stay there.

There was only a single bathroom which was dark and wet most of the time, as there was only a shower curtain around the shower area. As the shower curtain was constantly wet, it developed a strong smell which pervaded the apartment. There is no dustbin or waste paper basket to be found in the apartment. The furnishing in the apartment is very basic. If you arrive by bus, you will need to walk up a cobbled road approx. 300 m up a slope to the apartment but a taxi might drive up that slope provided that the boom gate is raised. Once you reach the apartment gate, there is a flight of stairs to ascend up to the first floor, where the apartment is. As there is no lift, this may prove a challenge for a less able bodied person. Once in the apartment, there are 3 steps leading down to the kitchen and 2 bedrooms, from the living cum dining area. Lastly, notwithstanding the wonderful view from the apartment, we still felt that it was a bit overpriced when we compared it with other properties with similar views but better facilities.

the apartment smelled moldy it was very smelly the toilet seat was not attached to the toilet no hot water in the kitchen so how are the dishes cleaned???
