Rooms are newly decorated, good and clean bathroom with good hot shower. The ladies of the breakfast service try their best and are friendly.

The walls within the building are not insulated - you hear all sounds (snoring, toilet sounds, conversations) of the neighbors and the kitchen beneath the rooms. The rooms are very small and in addition there is no common area where you can be or sit outside of your room inside or outside. Only when the restaurant is open, somebody from the house is available and even then not at the reception. Even though they try to communicate with translations apps, this is not suitable for a more difficult discussion. Otherwise there is no reception service at all. When we arrived at the indicated time, nobody was there. Luckily, we finally found a note written in Portuguese and referring us to a shop on the other side of the street. We just got our key there. The breakfast was the worst we had in Portugal: orange juice from a package, the cheapest cheese and meat cut from the supermarket, bread and jam as little pre-packaged parcels - and this in a country with fresh fruit etc. It seems that the organization fully focusses on the new and fancy restaurant that was attached recently to the building. This restaurant was build in front of the view of the upstairs rooms. Because the breakfast did not indicate a true passion for food, we did not eat there. Even though the rooms are newly decorated, some essentials are missing: a proper central lighting (how to find something at night in a cupboard with only reading lights at the beds??), a cupboard having shelves below 2 m height, a second chair. We had booked 5 nights but left after 4 nights because we were so disappointed. Because we had pre-paid, we requested via Booking a change of the dates. The accommodation did not agree. This house is OK for one night, but not for a longer stay. The more old-fashioned hotel next door seemed much nicer and offers nice balconies and nice food.

Newly refurbished place, good size room, good location. The restaurant has stunning views, prices are slightly higher than local restaurants, I guess you pay for the view.

The bedroom had mould on the walls which can be unhealthy and smell. The breakfast was OK nothing special, orange juice, bread with cheese ham and jam with coffee or tea and a slice of cake. The staff in the restaurant don't speak English only the waiter could understand some English and French. Was OK for me as I speak Portuguese but I had to translate to my partner, helps they have an English menu. I guess is fine to stay for one night only.

The room was ok, clean and comfortable.

The breakfast was really bad and I couldn't sleep well at night because I could hear people from the other rooms like they were next to me.

The view is great, and the price is low. It's convenient

They were building an extension for the hotel...but they were still renting rooms during the construction works! So no heating, no WiFi...! Personnel did not speak Portuguese and lies about being the only restaurant open while they were others in town.
