The view from the living room glass doors is totally memorable. The cabin was very clean and management very responsive. The kitchen faucet needs attention immediately. overall the stay was great and would rent again.

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. It comfortably slept all of us: 6 adults, 3 children and a 1 year old. The views were amazing of Grandfather’s Mountain.

Overall, the property was clean and well kept. The driveway is pretty steep, it is fully paved and very manageable with good weather. We had a mid-sized SUV and it did not have any issues, there are 2 sharp turns on the driveway. The cabin was clean and well kept on the outside. The inside was mostly clean, upon arrival we found some dust bunnies in the corners, one of the blankets was left out and not folded, we found some dirt around the corner of the floors, and the bathroom shower tiles could have used a better cleaning on them. You could tell the cabin was cleaned by hitting the high points for a quick rental turn around. Other than that, everything else was in good order. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and utensils, there was a small charcoal grill and a larger sized gas grill onsite. The refrigerator was clean, the dishwasher worked well, and the stove looked fairly new. The only complaint here was the oven door is tricky to operate until you get used to it. The door it is split into two sections where you can open a small door, or you can open the full door for oven use. Upstairs in the loft you found the pool table, the shuffleboard table, there was also a closet that had many different games and puzzles. We had great use of the pool table and games during our stay. The AC worked great in the cabin and the hot tub was very relaxing. The back deck has a great side view of Grandfather Mountain. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a wonderful stay at Grandfather Lookout! Views were amazing and property was perfect. Location also central to all of our scheduled activities.

Fabulous house to spend a little vacation time in. Not sure how you get people to ever leave. Very lovely place and it was a great place to celebrate my son’s graduation from App State in nearby Boone.

House has a great view, game room is fantastic. Glad you highlighted the steep driveway. Management company was responsive to the downed tree and concerns. Great house.

Property as described and was perfect for our family. Beautiful home with amazing views! Enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and shuffleboard. Great proximity to lots of activities, food and entertainment.

The cabin is absolutely gorgeous and the views of grandfather mountain are unparalleled! Standing on the middle of the deck you have a full view of the side of grandfather’s face! The driveway is definitely steep but it is partially paved which helps! The beds need new mattresses for sure but they were fine for a couple nights. Cabin was very clean and well maintained. We will definitely stay again!

This cabin is awesome! We had a great family and friends vacation. Had 4 adults and 4 teenagers staying here with plenty of room. Cabin was clean and ready to go.

The house was great but thank goodness my husband drove. The driveway was slightly terrifying.

We really enjoyed our stay at John’s cabin. It has a great setup with lots of space and an ideal location near Boone and Banner Elk. I don’t think I’ve seen brighter stars looking up at the sky while soaking in the hot tub. It’s a great cabin for sure and John was great to communicate with. The only improvement I could recommend would be upgraded mattresses for a better nights sleep, but great cabin overall.

Enjoyed a early Christmas celebration with family!! Great house, clean, more then enough space! Great views and location! We will be back for sure!

We loved the cabin. The overlook was amazing. The only negative review I can give(which I don't think it is a negative, I just think you need to be prepared) is that the driveway is pretty steep. I do recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle to make it a little easier to get up the driveway. We had a great time!

The views are amazing! The house is gorgeous and the open floor plan is the best! The kitchen is well equipped as well. The driveway is hard to get up and scary. Housekeeping definitely could have done a better job. The bathrooms were clean but there wasn't a lot of attention paid to the other areas of the house (kitchen and dinning especially) Still, all in all the house was AMAZING!

The view was amazing. Home was nice. Master shower was full of mold and disgusting. Ran out of hand soap, toilet paper and towels. Disappointing.

We had an excellent stay at this beautiful and cozy home. It was a wonderful place to stay once we were able to get up the driveway, which was a challenge. Definitely recommend using a 4 wheel drive vehicle (even in the summer months) otherwise you may not make it up the driveway!

We had a great stay.

Loved this property. Awesome view and the cabin was very clean with space to hang out, comfortable. During our stay the weather was a bit colder than I was expecting but the fireplace was great to warm up to after hiking etc. Lots to do in the area. This cabin is super close to Otter Falls and Hawksnest ziplining which everyone loved. The only issue was the hot tub which had a leak. We were told to fill it with the hose but that was not overly practical and took a while to heat with the cold water.

Had a great time with grandparents, kids, and grandkids. Property was as advertised. Perfect location facing grandfather mountain with plenty of space to spread out and very nice views! Would definitely return!

Our vacation started with 6 inches of snow coming down and it was so beautiful. The driveway to get up to the house is very very steep so if you don't have a 4 wheel drive vehicle its probably not accessible if there has been snow. While they were good about coming in ploughing, we were not able to actually leave the house next day. It was okay though, we packed plenty of food and used the pool table and hot tub. Other than a few wear and tear issues, and some drainage problems, the house is really great and the views are MAGICAL. Bring your own pillows! We had a great snow vacay!

Besides a few minor quirks about the house (one thermostat, broken sink & garbage disposal, dirty master shower) this house was perfect for what we needed to enjoy a short vacation in the high country.

Our families had a wonderful time together...3 days of snow, cozy fireplace, made wonderful memories.

When it was comfortable upstairs, it was too cold downstairs. If we put the heat up, it was too hot upstairs. Maybe put a space heater down stairs or fans in the room upstairs to help? 2) The upstairs bathroom faucet to turn on the tub needs to be fixed. If broke as soon as someone tried to turn it on. 3) The Master Bedroom shower water does not go down quickly enough when showering, so you are in a puddle of water by the time you are done showering. 4) A clear picture of the steep driveway should be included in the photos of the home. Only one of the cars we had were a 4x4 and could make it up the steep driveway-the rest of us had to walk up and down to our car each day. We didn't mind and enjoyed the exercise, but one of our guest is handicap and unable to but since we did have the one 4x4, she was able to go in that car. All of these things are fixable, and you would only know if you stayed there. I am sharing to. Ring to your attention and I strongly hope you consider them because as I said the house is beautiful, the views are breathtaking. It is in a great location and my experience with renting wit Carolina Cabins was nothing but positive. The WIFI in the house worked well as our phones had no service. The kitchen was well stocked. The house is nicely spaced that no one felt crowded at any point. Again, most importantly, it was CLEAN!!!!!! Thank you for sharing your home with us!!! We enjoyed it!! Happy New Year!!!

House was beautiful, turn out the hot tub had a leak and we couture it. That was a problem since we rented a house with one. A tech did come right away but said it had a leak, so we were unable to use it.. the location was great..

The stay was overall great. Just a few little things. Fans didn’t work, so in the winter the bedroom in the basement gets very cold, you turn the heat to keep the room warm for those sleeping in the basement but those sleeping on the second floor get very hot, but our quick fix was opening the bedroom windows. One of the guest bathrooms was a little dirty we cleaned it ourselves. Again, great cabin just minor details. Definitely a great place to stay.

The property was awesome, everything you expect from a cabin getaway. Very clean and spacious cabin, hot tub and pool table were great but owner needs to invest in some sticks bad lol. The back deck is amazing with views and glimpses of the lake down the way! Only downside of the property was no fire pit and driveway was very sketchy getting up with a car, kinda need a truck or jeep. Overall a great place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful get away. Thx guys!
