Grateful for this property that accommodated an active family with lots of activities on property for all ages.

This house was absolutely perfect for us. The fenced in yard made it so easy to bring our dogs with us. They could run around safely. The layout of the house is perfect also. We loved the covered porches and hot tub. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking as well. We'll be back. A wonderful house and Vacation.

Very close to App Ski mountain. Great views of the mountains as well. House is super fun, pac-man high score of 98,000 ;). A couple of minor gripes really. Hot tub doesn’t maintain temperature when open, could be a simple fix? Bed in upstairs does t stay on the frame and kept slipping off, Alia probably an easy fix. With kids trying to sleep, the house is quite loud, be prepared with white noise or something. Overall, very comfortable and great house.

This location is great for larger families. The kitchen is equipped with anything and everything you need. Just minutes from Boone and Blowing Rock.

This was a truly amazing property! Many amenities, great location, and we felt welcomed!

Great play to stay for a long weekend. Proximity to Boone and Blowing Rock. Good accommodations for 3 adult couples, 2 children and a 1 yr old. Plenty of parking, good kitchen and activities.

This house is perfectly located between Boone and Blowing rock, as well as the area attractions and restaurants.

Good location….excellent amenities

Second time staying at this property, but this time was not as good as the first. There was a consistent cigarette smell through the house even though it was suppose to be smoke free. Also, we were unable to use the back yard with the fire pit due to 3 foot high grass. Clearly doesn’t have a consistent landscaper anymore because weeds were growing all through the driveway as well. Definitely had a cleaner and better stay two years ago!

We had a wonderful time staying here, the pool table and Pac-Man game or much enjoyed! We also liked the separateness of bedrooms being on each level, in the hot tub is delightful. Great property convenient to many things, we would certainly stay here again.

The owner needs to spend a few days at the place and maybe he could figure it out for himself

We loved this place! It was perfect for our large extended family and we look forward to staying there again in the future!

Even though the weather was cloudy and rainy this vacation home provided us many activities. Our family enjoyed the pool, pac man, and foosball competition. As well as the kitchen table was card games and board game activities! Spent one day visiting the shops downtown Blowing Rock and another visiting Boone’s unique stores. So much fun spending time with family!

The property had plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed the games. The location was perfect!

This house is great for groups. So many different areas to gather and plenty of room to spread out. We really enjoyed the pool table and the hot tub, and we liked that it was super close to downtown Blowing Rock.

This was our first visit to NC and we are definitely going back and staying at Flat Top Lodge. The house was great for our family, lovely views, entertainment inside and space for everyone to be comfortable.

It was very close to App Ski Mtn. Perfect for 8 of us. Lots to do with the pool table, foosball, and Ms PAC-man. Plus games and movies. Gas logs were not working in day two but someone came out right away to fix them even with the bad weather.

Everything was wonderful! The house was clean and the layout was perfect for our family. The game room upstairs was great and brought our family together every night. Thank you for the fond memories.

Really close to ski resort. High enough for great views but not too high for those without 4wd. Property manager was responsive with a couple issues we had with the light not working in the living room (couldn’t be fixed while we were there) and the fireplace (video explained how to light it). Only real issue was that there was a lot pet hair on the carpets and the bed spreads. Definitely needs some deep cleaning. I would suggest the cleaning company move the furniture around so they can clean more thoroughly - under the beds, behind the nightstands, etc. Everything else was good and we would probably stay here again mainly for the location.

Everything was perfect, reservations and check in/out super easy, clean beautiful home! Our first time with carolina cabins, have already recommended to others and will definitely be back. Thank you for a great vacation!

We enjoyed our stay. The house is very well layed out with fun games to keep entertained. The fenced on yard was also great for our dogs.

Issues noted are: the couch in the living area was not the one shown in the pictures and was extremely uncomfortable (seats were way too high so that a normal height person's feet will not reach the floor); also, the couches downstairs were not very comfortable. While we enjoyed the pool table, the pool cues could be replaced. Also, the kitchen could be better stocked with regard to silverware and baking pans. As for the hot tub, the rental company requires that you examine the tub within an hour of arrival to determine if servicing is needed. In our case, the water in the hot tub was not clear, so we contacted them and it was serviced at no charge. But I am assuming if you don't contact them within an hour of arrival, you will be charged for servicing. Also, the information we received stated that extra towels would be furnished for the hot tub. We could never find these in the house so we contacted rental company and they brought some by.

In this era of Covid, we would have hoped and assumed the house would be really clean. Not so — not even close! The pots and pans, the flatware and most of the cooking utensils were dirty and greasy in the drawers. The gas barbecue clearly hadn't been cleaned in months. The dishes in the dishwasher were dirty. There were small roaches running everywhere. The roof leaks; there is terrible mildew in the master shower.... the list goes on. When we arrived, we tried unsuccessfully for several days to reach Carolina Cabin Rentals, the management company. There was zero responsiveness. This company is too large. There is a call center with agents to help rent homes. Once you're there, forget it. It wasn't until I did some deep research on Google, and sent a pretty scathing letter to the owners, that I heard back from them. Clarence was apologetic, and offered to re-clean the house. Granted, we have been here much longer than Carolina Cabin Rental's average 3-7 day stays, but they weren't in the least adaptable to a long term stay. We've rented a lot of houses, including a gorgeous house last year in Banner Elk. We felt stuck since we had already paid for the house. We spent most of the first two weeks cleaning the cabin before my son, his wife and three kids arrived. I was sick to my stomach for the first four weeks of our six week stay.

This was truly a perfect rental. Less than 10 minutes to Blowing Rock, Boone, or the Skyline Drive. The house was very nice and exactly as advertised.

Our family of four had a wonderful time here in the mountains. The house is very clean and cozy, especially with the log fire burning and the supply of fleece blankets. Plenty of things to do! It's less than five minutes from the ski slopes, and only 10 minutes from Blowing Rock and Boone. We can't wait to get back here.

The layout for the cabin was absolutely prefect for our family. The Ms. Pac-man machine was a hit with the kids. Awesome time and great location.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Having separate floors was very nice for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped and roomy. The full size laundry was a big plus and helped a lot with damp clothing. It did not seem like the freezer door was sealing well. We did find water on the floor a few times. The only suggestion I would have would be to replace the cookware. The nonstick coating was worn can be a health hazard. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
