Sehr schickes Hotel mit einer fantastischen Lage. Personal war sehr nett und das Frühstücksbüffet war auch super.

Leider waren die Matratzen der Doppelstockbetten extrem hart, so das Rückenschmerzen nicht vermeidbar waren. Das Doppelbett hingegen war super.

Everything! The staff are wonderful! They went out of their way to fulfil any requests we had. Good breakfast. Great location. Would recommend this hotel and definitely stay again.

Friendly reception. Allowed us to check in early. Room was very large, and the bed was enormous. The shower was fantastic. Breakfast was amazing. Very close to town centre.

On a seven week cycle tour, bike security is very important for us. I routinely message city hotels to ask whether they can store bikes overnight. This hotel answered: yes, but when we arrived we were told that they could not store our bikes. We had to put them in the public bike garage off Grote Markt. I planned a nasty review score, but the check-out receptionist disarmed me completely by making our breakfast complimenary. Thank you.

The staff were nice...we had a problem with our room with the light, it didn't turn on when the card was slotted in. We tried it several times, luckily, there was a room across the hall, and we moved across the room. It was all fine at the end. The rooms were clean and it was very comfortable.

Maybe just teabags in the tea boxes, it was empty.

Location, facilities and staff

Rooms were a little on the small side but I recognise it’s a city hotel No bike storage

quick and easy check in, not too full and the room was clean.

No toothpaste or toothbrushes were offered. The walls were drywalls (hollow and thin). I could hear the person in the room next to me snore which kept me from going to bed. It was so annoying that I was forced to put on the AC to overpower the noise.

The room we stayed in, had barely a WiFi connection due to it being at the end of the hall.

Fantastic location and exceptional staff

Perfect location in the Binnenstad 3 minutes walk to the Grote Mark, Vismarkt, "high street" shopping and many restaurants. Very good breakfast in glassed courtyard that doubles as lounge/relax area during the day. We were upgraded to larger room overlooking the courtyard with views of several church steeples. We appreciated the two built in racks for our suitcases and the nightlight built into the bathroom mirror! I would stay here again.

For a newer hotel building built to look like the classic Dutch street, I have some minor suggestions for hotel management: You cannot sit comfortably at the desk to work, the built-in nightstands are tiny and there is no comfortable sitting chair in the otherwise spacious room, but they did provide a second desk chair for us. Lighting was dim even with all four lights on.

Very friendly staff, with a fantastic location in Groningen. Great value for a nice hotel in the center of the city. The room was comfortable. I'd stay here again the next time in town.

The room could have been a little cleaner, but it was still comfortable to stay there.

Immaculately clean, stylish room with comfi bed, good hot shower, cooler/fridge, coffee pod machine, kettle and selection of teas and coffees, hair dryer, makeup mirror with light. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great central location. Very interesting forward thinking city. Exceptional architecture and design. We had severe disruption to our travel plans and couldn't arrive for our first night. Without needing to ask, they didn't charge us for that night. So kind!

I needed to ask for some vegan options for breakfast (breakfast had lots of great food but not a lot of vegan friendly food ). Once I asked, the chef said he'd sort something out for us (he gave us a vegan sausage, vegan yoghurt, vegan cheese, tomato and cucumber each morning). Having a section on the booking form re: dietary requirements would be helpful. The stairs and hallway leading up to the bedrooms was not hoovered during our stay and had some small bits of plastic and other small debris on it. Our room was above an alleyway and opposite an apartment building. It was a bit noisy but not too bad between 11pm and 7am. The window/external wall didn't seem to offer much soundproofing. Some stairs in the hotel were very steep and could do with a railing on both sides.

room heaters were off when we arrived and then turned off again during daily cleaning, room got very cold. wifi is slow and unreliable. basic decor is cold and not welcoming. lack of light in the room.
