An excellent property 10 mins from the airport located by one of the best beaches on the island. Wonderful views and very comfortable accommodation if you wish to self cater when not enjoying the local eateries. A great place from which to explore the island on various days out. Hiring a hire is a must. Large supermarkets nearby. Lovely pool, what more could you ask for.

Our family enjoyed our week at Calypso Cottage. Helen provided exceptional communication, responding very quickly to all messages. The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable, with a lovely verandah where we spent all our time. The kitchen is functional, equipped with plenty of dishes/cups/glasses and basic cooking tools. Drinking water must be purchased in bottles. Bedrooms are a good size; bring an eye mask if you are sensitive to early morning light. We were happy to find that there were no bugs - we never even took our bug spray out of our bags (Antigua was having a heat wave during the May week that we were there - maybe it was too hot even for the bugs!) That said, we did keep the kitchen clean and did not leave garbage out, as requested. The property at Halcyon Heights Condominiums is beautifully landscaped and well cared for - lots of lovely bright blooms everywhere and a great pool to cool off in at the end of a hot day.

Helen’s cottage was exactly as expected and as described in the listing. We really enjoyed the large balcony and spent many hours on it enjoying the amazing view. Helen provided many helpful recommendations, including phone numbers for taxis and other services, which was extremely helpful. The rooms are large, the air conditioning in the bedrooms is strong, and the space was welcoming. We highly recommend Helen’s cottage.

great condo with everything you need. Lanai( porch) was where we lived withbeautifull views, birds and breeze. A bit far from beaches so recommend renting a car to get around.

We had two weeks exploring Antigua from our rental. The location was perfect for both the beaches and for St John’s . We managed to clock up over 1000 km which considering the size of Antigua is a lot of travelling!! The property was very good value for money and the location was perfect. Renting a private house can always be tricky but in Antigua it’s very tricky as there are no resorts as such where you can go out during the evening. This sort of experience is best enjoyed at one of the many all inclusive hotel and resorts in Antigua. We tried to book a table at three different hotels and were told on each occasion that we would need to stay for a minimum of three nights ! So we tended to have lunch at the beach and dinner at the property . The large terrace was perfect for a private dinner with stunning sunsets . Local supermarkets were very good stocking an excellent range which made cooking at home even more pleasurable. The property is very spacious and has two large double rooms both of which are en-suite . The road from the beach is a steep climb but a really good workout as well . I would recommend buying and using a torch as in the evening it gets very dark very early (in Feb ) so walking back to the house is best with some sort of light . In summary it was an amazing two weeks staying at an ideally located property. I wouldn’t consider it to be a luxury property but it was 100% value for money. A big plus when renting is always communication . If we had any queries about absolutely anything the property owner replied instantly despite there being a five hour time difference.

Helen is Amazing at communicating. Shona is great at simple questions about the island. Use them. Ask them questions. You will be happy you did. Rent a car. You will be happy you did. The house is a half a mile walk downhill to Dickinson Bay Beach, but if you want to go explore the island you Must have a car. I can't imagine taking the bus or taxis every time and having to wait and pay for that . Sunsets from the balcony are spectacular. Pool is ok for a quick plunge, nothing special, but views are amazing from there also at sunset with a cocktail. It felt very safe and it was quiet. Kitchen is well equipped except for lacking a couple of wider frying pans. Great selection of chefs knives, silverware and utensils. Fridge is big and cold and you have access to a cooler to bring to the beach along with other stuff like snorkeling equipment. All and all, in two weeks we had a great time. Keep in mind that you are on an island next to a jungle. You are in nature, so you will have to deal with the constant presence of various bugs. We opted not to use any sprays or chemicals, we kept the place extremely clean, but they still find their way in even if you keep the front door closed and the patio door closed as well. Not a problem for us, but many may be put out by this. We never used the Air Conditioning so we can't tell you how it works as we like it nice and warm. If we wanted cold we would have gone to Greenland not Antigua. 😉 Enjoy the rainstorms and soak the warm sun. Cheers! Vic, Anna and Andre

The property was all we could've wanted and Antigua brought the sun, warmth and heat that beachgoers, like us, love. Exactly, as the listing, overlooking the Caribbean Sea, and millions of butterflies passing by the windows throughout the mornings and afternoons. As walkers, the communal pool was also a blessing in disguise as the beach is at the bottom of the hill and the walk up through the heat from the beach warrants a quick swim. All in all, a superb vacation, and Helen's property and her willingness to help out during the stay was awesome. Highly recommended.

Seriously the most amazing thing about this place is the view. You have unrestricted views of Dickenson Bay and the sunset in the evening from the huge terrace. The rooms were both large. Comfortable beds and a decent kitchen. Cannot complain and the owner and house keeper were very helpful and easy to reach. We will surely be returning. Thanks Helen!

My husband and I stayed at Calypso cottage for 12 nights to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. The condo was spacious, comfortable, clean, and conveniently located near Dickenson's beach. We loved the verandah and the view of the sea and garden's below. it was a great spot for coffee and a book in the morning and quiet dinners in the evening. Loved the white oleander and papaya tree! and the birds that came to visit. The bedrooms were air conditioned for good sleeping. The host provided excellent resources for restaurants and beaches to visit. It was great to have Shona, the housekeeper come and clean/refresh the place about half way through our stay. The community pool was a really nice space and quiet most of the time. Located a few steps away from the front door! We would stay again without a second thought! Thank you again to Helen and Shona for making our trip so lovely.

The view was spectacular and the unit is spacious and charming. The only thing I would recommend to future travelers is to carefully and double check with the owner or property manager about sundry items that you may expect to be included upon arrival. We had to purchase several items that are ordinarily included (at least as a starter pack). We say this as experienced travelers and property owners. Still a 5 star property. Thank you Helen!

We had a very pleasant stay. The property was very clean when we arrived. It was extremely well appointed....nice furniture, excellent air conditioning in the bedrooms, the kitchen was very well fitted out. Lovely views from the balcony and a nice pool to enjoy. Beach and restaurants close by. Would happily recommend.

We visited in early July 2021. Family of 4 including 2 teenage sons (18 and 15). We did not want to leave. Initial access was smooth, Helen's (the owner) communication was always rapid and helpful. The cottage was absolutely immaculate, spacious and very well equipped. Both bedrooms a really good size. Lovely lounge area. We spent many hours on the comfy furniture on the enormous balcony- just looking at the incredible view, especially the sunset and watching the pretty birds. Couple of restaurants a few minutes walk away. We had a car (parking right outside front door) and visited lots of different beaches - all gorgeous. Dickenson Bay beach is very close, walkable although we were lazy and drove (about 2 minutes)! Nice beach, drinks available. Can't fault the apartment and would love to return.

Calypso cottage was a perfect island get away for our family amidst the COVID craziness. The condo was exactly as pictured and everything our family needed for a short week there. We spent our days on the beaches, snorkeling and searching for beautiful shells. All of the info Helen provided us in advance of our stay was super helpful - from beaches to restaurant suggestion and grocery stories. The condo had all of the amenities we needed and when we did have one issue, Helen made sure that it was addressed very quickly. Even though many restaurants were closed due to COVID we managed to find 2 additional places to eat (not on Helen's list) that we would highly recommend - Beach Bum (at Half Moon Bay) and Jacqui O's (near Jolly Harbour) that were picturesque with great food. Thank you Helen for helping make this an incredibly wonderful and memorable trip for our family.

We stay in this apartment for nine fantastic days in this beautiful Island. Great position, clean and the owner support us for any question or suggestion. The WiFi running very well, the condominiun has a great security. The apartment Is really confortable for a 4 persons. It has fantastics terrace where we have a dinner having a nove view on Dickenson Bay. We recommend this apartment.

Calypso apartment did not disappoint. Spacious two bedrooms and baths with living room and veranda overlooking beautiful Dickersons bay. The pictures of the condo on the web were accurate. The condo was clean with a well equipped kitchen , updated bathrooms, and comfy beds. It is convenient to beautiful beaches, supermarkets and restaurants. It is located in a beautiful tranquil setting. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy!

Calypso Cottage is located up the hill from Dickenson Bay with the beach and several restaurants within a 20 min walk. The apartment is comfortable despite being in need of a little updating. Easy check in process.

This is a wonderful, warm home with all the amenities needed at your disposal. The views from the veranda and pool are exceptional. Helen, the owner, was always gracious, accessible, and gave us great recommendations regarding beaches, restaurants and fun things to do on the island. The weather was perfect. We really did feel we were in paradise! Can’t wait to return.

This property is located in an upscale residential area close to Halcyon Starfish and Sandals. It is walking distance to the beach and the pool is shared with other residents on the compound that is a 1/2 a minute walk from the cottage. The beds are very comfortable with quality cutlery and wares. This is a perfect getaway place. It is quiet and the view of the ocean is breathtaking. I recommend here's the perfect place to stay but you will need a vehicle to make groceries. Alternatively, there is the Tradewind's Restaurant which serves excellent lunch and dinner that is a 5-7 minute walk.

We had a fabulous stay at the cottage! Perfect set up for us with two ensuite bedrooms. The outdoor space was fantastic. We spent evenings on the verandah after the beach and after dinner. The views from the verandah are stunning! Beds were very comfortable and linens were clean and crisp. Kitchen set up was perfect and very functional. Easy access to several restaurants and the beach. Internet service was great. Air conditioning in the bedrooms for sleeping was perfect! I highly recommend this property. We loved it! The owner was always available for questions and was very nice to deal with!!

The condo was exactly like the photos. We watched the cruise ships come into the harbor in the morning while having coffee and watched them light up the ocean as they left in the evening on the verandah. The perfect location,spectacular views and all the amenities. The only thing you need to bring with you is your food to cook. Perfect.... looking forward to staying there again on our next trip to Antigua.

The main living area was a suffocating zone! No AC, weak fans and the natural ventilation features all very old and non functional ! Wi FI was as stable as a candle in the wind ! The chairs were so uncomfortable I had to get a doctor to see me as I could not move and he blamed the poor quality chairs with no lumber support! View and position was good!

We spent a wonderful week at Calypso Cottage. The place was very clean & offered stunning views & awesome sunset views. We spent much of our time on the veranda enjoying the views of Dickenson Bay, the tropical flowers just below the edge which attracted hummingbirds & watching other small birds & lizards feed on the sugar we put on a plate each morning. Helen has provided all you need for a most comfortable stay from a properly stocked kitchen to prepare some of your meals to items for enjoying the many beaches on the island such as chairs, coolers, masks & snorkels, etc. The location is ideal, being just up from the beach but away from the crowds on the resort properties. We rented a car, which I recommend) & explored most other parts of the island. Devil's Bridge was a highlight, as well as English Harbour, Jolly Harbour & some of the beaches at that end of the island. We also did the lobster lunch cruise with Creole Antigua as recommended by Helen & it did not disappoint.... Great sights on the boat ride, great snorkeling & delicious lobster on the beach. Absolutely amazing week from the accommodations to the recommendations.
