Would have liked a few more things in the minibar. Chocolate or sweets- I always feel like something sweet when I get home from a concert or such - perhaps a bottle of wine in the room, a (small) selection of alcoholic drinks.

Location was good, lobby area is lovely looking. The rooms bathroom & shower was nice and the breakfast was good.

The “Junior Suite” is DEFINITELY NOT worth paying for. We were on the 10th floor,(suite 6), the lifts constantly made a low droning noise, we had a single chair, a beaten up old sofa thing that was useless to sit on and a very small glass topped table….NOTHING even remotely similar to the advertised “junior suite”….our windows had blinds, no curtain or nets, so it was either open to the world or closed….window sills are slowly rotting away as well. As for the view???….well it didn’t have a nice street view,…just industrial looking buildings that are at the back of the hotel. The room was reasonably clean, but certainly not spotless.

This is my third visit to The Grace, and I absolutely adore this place! The impeccable room presentation, space and comfort is a major highlight for me. We had a King Deluxe room with complimentary water and soft drinks. The bathroom is a stunning minimalist design with earthy tones that immediately left you feeling relaxed. The second night we decided to have room service for dinner (since we LOVED spending time in the space) and the Beef and Guiness Pie from PJ O'Brien's was outstanding! I mean, we could've gone into the tavern itself, but it was fabulous to sit in the comfort of our room, with a glass of wine and enjoy such a delightful meal. What a treat! As an added bonus, we had an extra day in Sydney to kill some time, so leaving our luggage with the concierge really made our day much easier. The location is perfect if you want to be right in the centre of the city too. One block from the QV Building and George Street Mall, and nearby cafes, and pop up coffee stations, easy walking distance and no need for transport. Our Uber arrival and departure meant for easy return to the airport. We look forward to returning to The Grace soon. Thank you for your fantastic service.

Fantastic location in the heart of the city. Stunning historical hotel with modern decor and comfort. Friendly staff and clean room. The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet. The photos don’t do it justice.

The shower needed descaling - it impacted the water flow. Easily fixed though.

The foyer was lovely. The room was a decent size. Very clean. The beds were comfortable. The mini bar, with no alcohol was complimentary. Nice toiletries.

We have wanted to stay at The Grace for a long time. We were expecting a full heritage hotel. The heritage ends with the lovely foyer and ground floor area. The Asian restaurant on the ground floor was an odd choice for a heritage hotel, and the smell went up the elevator with us, and sadly, there was no longer a coffee shop. The room was lovely but too modern, so it did not match the hotels decor. The room, a superior family, had a king and 2 single beds. The single beds were pushed together in one corner, separated from the king by a side table. This made it very awkward to get out of one of the singles as you had to crawl to the end of the corner bed to get out of it, with no room for a side table, so nowhere to put phones, etc. Tho the mini fridge was complimentary, which was nice, it seemed to be supplied with drink choices for only 2 people. 2 juice, 2 soft drinks, 2 water. The Grace was very nice, but for us, It definitely did not meet the price.

We were upgraded which was absolutely lovely. The room was large and the bed extremely comfortable. The location once we knew where we were was ok.

Grouting in the bathroom/toilet/shower area really needs to be regrouted. I also felt the furniture did not match that well. Looked like a number of pieces left over and put into the room.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the sauna and steam room available.

The Grace is our go to hotel everytime. We love the comfortable beds, the noise blocking walls and the location plus the beautiful historical building it is in.

Location and room

The hotel room was very clean and comfy. Bed was spectacular like sleeping on a cloud. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating to our requests. Overall, a very special stay and will do again.

Very disappointed with provided breakfast, food always the same, and no provision for ordering differently cooked eggs etc. Also food was cold and tasteless. Breakfast area very cramped, tables much too close together and very few staff working to clean tables etc.

Due to my wife breaking her left arm we had to shorten our stay by one day. The hotel was fully accommodating of this change and of the need for a late check out so that my wife could take her painkillers at the correct time. Our bed was super comfortable and gave my wife the support that she needed for her arm. The fact that there was a good Italian restaurant within the hotel complex meant that we did not need to go far to eat.

We couldn't pay for all rooms in one payment as we booked through Booking.com. We were unaware of this in advance.
