Everything you'd expect from this group of hotels

Staying in an ancient castle was an amazing experience. The staff was wonderful. I decided to have dinner on site and was very glad I did. No complaints at all. Keep driving up and up until you are at the parking lot at the top.

Nice buffet for breakfast, good food at the restaurant, interesting old castle setting with visit of adjacent ruins, extremely pleasant and helpful staff.

Unique castle/palace hotel. Great location and views of the surroundings. Service at the highest level. Peace and quiet. Pretty good restaurant on site. A magical place.

Good room, it has heating so it was comfortable to stay in winter there. Interior looks like antique and clean in the same time. We had beautiful view from the window. Breakfast was good!

I personally didn't like a restaurant menu but breakfast was very good.

Location was excellent. Quiet n relaxed stay, walking around the old castle ruins with beautiful view. Breakfast buffet has very good spread. November was not peak season so we had a wonderful time!

The wifi on the 2nd floor was not available inside bedroom.

If there were oscars given for friendliness and helpfulness these guys win. The location and the hotel are superb.

The Castelo is in a lovely spot with amazing views. Their breakfast had extensive offerings and dinner was also delicious. We were just a short drive away to wine tourism and we enjoyed the town of Palmela as well. The staff were all lovely and accommodating.

We were unaware until our arrival of the Medieval Fair that was going on all weekend. An email was supposedly sent right before our stay, but we never received it. While my husband & I enjoyed the festivities, others in our party did not. it would be good to know at booking of such events!

Splendid location with great views all round. Room was larger than expected and had great views. Reception staff was very very helpful, suggesting restaurants around even though he could have pushed the Pousada restaurant. Breakfast was ample and good.
