Super authentic hideaway, very close to nature and an excellent place for calming walks. Two swimming pools (in- and outdoor) with a large spa area. Friendly staff, and lots of (free) parking space.

There is no access to any kind of beach. Don’t expect any wonders from the hotel’s restaurant, even though it’s michelin mentioned. We got an extremely small room. We struggled to communicate in English.

The location is quite remote, but we loved that - meant there was nothing to disturb us and we were able to fully relax. The spa area and the swimming pools were a highlight - one outside and one inside. So nice! Our room was great too, we stayed in a suite which to be honest wasn’t necessary as we were outside the room most of the time. A lot of lovely place outside to also just sit and enjoy the nature. They also have a nice restaurant which we enjoyed. We would certainly go back.

Lovely hotel though a bit expensive - we enjoyed it though. Our suite was huge and bed was comfortable - just a real shame there was no aircon that would made it more comfortable during the night.

The remote location of the hotel is excellent if you would like to get away from it all. The hotel is situated just behind the dike on which you can walk and cycle, overlooking the sea. The hotel offers bikes and e-bikes, as well as a car for hire. You can cycle on the dike, small streets or cycle paths. There is a small indoor pool and a larger outdoor pool which can also be used in winter. It is a relatively small hotel in which you get to talk to people. We had very good conversations, chatting after breakfast or over a cup of tea in the afternoon. We booked half board at a reasonable price and enjoyed breakfast and dinner very much. The entire hotel staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. Our room was very quiet (there is virtually no noise from the aisle or neighbouring rooms) and we slept well.

The beautiful building contrasts with the dullness of the room interior. We had a junior suite and were missing a sofa and lighting at the desk. As we were there in the darkest period of the year and, except for the restaurant where there is no WiFi reception, we had nowhere else to go, we spent quite some time in our room, which was lacking atmosphere. The small TV was on the desk and you were either too close or too far away. Towels used at the spa had to be dried on wardrobe doors because there were too few hooks and rails in the bathroom.
