Das Frühstück war ok. Die Lage mitten in Mannheim war sehr gut - alles sehr gut erreichbar.

Viel zu wenig Parkplätze und diese waren viel zu eng - ein Aussteigen kaum möglich. Kaum Personal und große Verständigungsprobleme wegen mangelnder Deutschkenntnisse. Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig - eine alte Einrichtung ist nicht schlimm, aber wenn diese kaputt und schmutzig ist, dann ist das eine Katastrophe. Staub wurde schon lange nicht mehr gewischt, die Toilettenbecken scheinen seit langem kein Putzmittel mehr gesehen zu haben. Im Bad die Armaturen und Lampen sind defekt - hier scheint keiner danach zu schauen. Im Aufzug war ein Hinweis, daß man, wenn man "bitte nicht stören" raushängt, zum Abschied ein Gratisgetränk bekommt-denn so hilft man "zu sparen" und zeigt ein besonderes Umweltbewusstsein. Wir hatten das Schild nicht heraus gehangen, aber das Zimmer wurde an keinem Tag gereinigt. Die Mülleimer blieben vom Anreise-bis Abreisetag unberührt, es wurde kein Bett gepackt und kein Bad gereinigt. Es wurden lediglich am 3. Tag, als wir 2 Duschtücher und ein Handtuch auf den Boden gelegt hatten, diese ausgetauscht, oder besser gesagt: es gab 2 neue Duschtücher und statt eines 2. Handtuches ein Badvorleger. Wir kennen in solchen Hotels einen anderen Komfort und waren etwas entsetzt über die dort momentan vorherrschenden Zustände. Für diesen Preis hatten wir etwas anderes erwartet.

Spacious room for one. Quiet. I could leave my bag at the reception prior to check-in. Requested a kettle in my room before arrival which worked out. Breakfast was great and the bed was super as well. A fan was in the room, it was quite warm and the fan was really helpful. Very close to Mannheim HBF.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Easy to get into town in a matter of minutes. Other than that the word that keeps springing to mind is "adequate". The hotel itself was clean all be it very dated. Only the carpets let it down when it comes to cleanliness. The were disgraceful. The staff were polite and professional. The big disappointment for me was the breakfast buffet. Again, "adequate" but lacking in choice and a real let down. The quality of what was there was "adequate" but was the bare minimum of what you would require. No scrambled egg, bacon, salmon or anything to make it remotely memorable. If you need a safe and reasonably priced overnight stay with no frills you'll be ok, if you're on a weekend break, as we were, you may be better off looking for an alternative.
