The room looked nice and the bed and pillows were at least comfortable. Not that we could get any sleep due to the noise.

Hello, This was the absolute worst stay of our lives. We have never left a hotel after one night and booked another one to move to as the conditions were so bad and there was no one available either during the night or in the morning to raise the issue with. Interestingly our room number had been altered on our key card and the TV was on when we entered the room. We very strongly believe that as we checked in so late someone else was in this room first, complained, were moved and then the TV was put on so that we would not hear the horrendous noises when we arrived. These only became apparent when we turned the TV off. There was a buzzer on reception saying to press for assistance but it did not work. At one stage we were even considering sleeping in our vehicle but the temperature was freezing and we did not have warm enough clothes. The shower was then cold in the morning as well to top it off. We moved to another hotel which was lovely, quiet and with a hot shower. You should be ashamed of yourselves taking money from people for a room in which they cannot sleep. This is a fundamental right of renting a room out.

We had a good stay, good for the price, food in the bar was really good, nice friendly staff, will stay again next time

Stunning building and location. First impressions walking into the hotel are good. Spacious bedroom and a large bed. Food we had in the restaurant overall good..

We couldn't get the TV remote to work. My husband went to reception got some replacement batteries, but unfortunately still did not work. Bathroom was pretty gruesome, to be honest, obvious signs where water has been and was leaking in above the bath. The sink is.coming away from the mount underneath. Not very safe, to be honest. The attitudes of some staff leave a lot to be desired. We ordered our starters which arrived and were very nice by the way. Then our mains arrived, and our previous plates had not been cleared away. Instead of apologising and getting somebody to remove them, her comments to us were" can you move the plates , so I can put these down". No apology at all. Finally, the bedroom window had not been sealed correctly on fitting, a dreadful draught comes in by the windowsill. It needs a good overhaul and pretty soon..

The property itself was lovely very clean and nice and pleasant.

The biggest thing for me there’s no air con in the rooms . Yet there was in the hallways , found that very bizarre . There’s only one half window that opened as there was only one . I found this wry disjappointmenting.

Having read some of the reviews I was a bit apprehensive about choosing this hotel. However the communications with Nadia were excellent and when we arrived she gave us a warm welcome. The room was clean and bright but would have benefitted from some info on wifi and breakfast times etc. I found the road noise a bit disturbing as I'm a light sleeper but my partner wasn't troubled. Maybe some double glazing & air con ? The attached pub was ok & quite adequate but there were no ales on offer. Top marks to Nadia and the young man on duty the next day who was also polite and helpful. Would I stay again ? Yes - but might bring some earplugs :)

Still things to be addressed but good value for money. The staff in the bar could have been a bit more welcoming and friendly.

Room was very cozy and clean. Shower and bath facilities were very nice. Switches at the door and bed for the lighting making it very comfortable.

Sadly TV remote was not functioning, went down for new batteries and it still did not work. Controls on the TV do work though so could still use these. There was a washing machine hooked up to our bath drainage which meant there was some mid day "gargling" coming from the bathroom.

I would appreciate more attention to detail around the cleanliness. Some of the plates and cups at breakfast were not clean. carpet in our room was perishing around the bedside table...

The room was of a good size and looked good when we entered it.

The bathroom lacked certain features. There was no extractor fan, no shaver point, no non slip mat for the bath as the shower was over the bath. The shower itself was old fashioned and had a fixed head. Was not clear when we booked that only continental breakfast was served. Being diabetic continental breakfast is the worst breakfast to have, would not have stayed here if we had known this.

noise from the road. the bed not made up properly on one day. the room was bland. the shower w/c was awful. the windows needed upgrading the was old paint on the dressing room chair. nasty brown mark on the bedroom wall adjacent to the bed. the bar smelt of rising damp. the food was only very mediocre at best.

Staff with friendly and reasonably knowledgeable. However if you're looking for a satisfying pint of lager perhaps you might go somewhere else.

Only offered an English version of a Continental breakfast. Very basic bar/ dining options.
