We stayed at Jufa in the 17th of July and had a terrible nights sleep because of the heat. It was around 30 degrees in our room and the windows closed automatically because of a few drops of rain. They could not be opened. At reception they only gave us a tiny fan for three people, which was not enough. It felt suffocatingly warm and we could not sleep.
After a week we came back from our hut to hut hike and since we had already booked a stay at Jufa we went to stay there again. However we we were back one day early and one of our group members needed to go home so we were with two people instead of three.
The hotel did not want to change our booking to a two people room even though they were available. They did not want to compensate us anything for our horrible night from the week before. And on top of that they wanted to book us a three people room for both nights! This would cost €450 for two nights, while online it would've only been €315. Even though we showed them this on booking.com they still did not want to change our room. In the end we managed to get a two person room for the first night only, meaning we needed to swap rooms in between the nights. After more discussion they gave us a ten percent discount on the second night because of the heat we experienced the week prior. In short, service was horrible.
The rooms are fine, it's just very expensive and the service is really just awful.

Kind personnel in the reception, beautiful dining hall, charming city.
Austerely furnished room.

Very good location in the middle of Schladming and next to the Planai lifts. Good room and very nice breakfast and good breakfast staff. Nice with the wellness spa
* There was a festival/concert next to the hotel when we were there. It was really loud and noisy and we were going to get up early, so that night was like h*ll for us. The hotel could have warned about this, especially since we asked for a quite room.
* There was no aircon or fan, so we had to sleep with the window open, which made the experience with the concert even noisier
* In the spa, men and women were naked together. I didn't know this was the case in Austria, but made a very uncomfortable situation for me and my family with teenagers... would have been good to have English signs in the changing room to inform about this, as it is not normal in most of the world

We had an excellent stay at JUFA. The staff was fabulous. The food offerings were tasty and tons of variety, to make even the pickiest eaters happy. The hotel was completely full during peak season, with tons of young people having a great time. Yet the rooms were very quiet and peaceful.

Great location - right across Rathaus and literally 2 mins. walking distance to the Planai gondolas / ski lifts and town center.
Decent size room.
Fabulous dinner - great variability, food always available and friendly restaurant staff.
Spacious ski storage and luggage rooms available on the ground floor.
Parking - for a 3-star hotel where you pay over 340 EUR per night they charge you added 10 EUR / night for remote (!) parking! Moreover, when checking in, the lady at the reception told us that the first night of parking is for free. In the morning we found a parking fine on our car's windshield and learned the hard way that the parking right in front of the hotel doesn't belong to the hotel - something no one warns you about during check-in (neither us, nor a bunch of other guests who had the same parking fine surprise waiting for them). So much for the "free first night of parking".
Both mattresses and especially pillows were awful.
Our preferred options have been ignored - neither did we get a bunk bed that has been offered by the hotel on Booking.com, nor did we get a quiet room (unless there are even louder rooms that is).
Overall a lot of students / youngsters stayed at the hotel providing for loud nights.
Just a couple of wall plugs and poorly located at that, making it a problem to charge phones and other devices over night.
Our top floor room had sloping part of the ceiling. This resulted in a couple of unpleasant head bumps at night - not that it's hotel's fault, just be aware, if you get a room upstairs, especially if you're tall.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The buffet at breakfast and dinner was extensvie.
The bathroom in our room smelled of cooking odours at all times.

wellness was quiet and clean, we could use it every day

we were there at the same time as school ski trainings with a lot of kids, so very noisy everywhere and mess in the buffet during the bfast and dinner, some food wasn’t available because the kids had eaten it early :)!

We visited in summer, the temperature inside the room was over 30 degrees, no conditioner and the worst is automatic window system (windows can’t be open during the rain). I woke up at night from the feeling I was suffocated. The worst night in our vacation.

our daughter liked that JUFA was right around the corner from Taurnhof as she was early to check in for her adventure camp. she felt safe and everything was supplied.
The management accidentally overcharged our daughter but after I brought it to their attn they fixed the problem.
there’s no ac and probably that’s not usually needed but if she shut her window at night she was too hot
