The hotels location and parking excellent, old building and breakfast room brilliant.

We stopped two nights, first night we could not shower, the shower would only supply boiling water so unusable, second day could not shower until the evening, as there was no hot water. We were told later the whole hotels hot water was off. For £128 per night expected the room to be better. We have stayed in many hotels at £80 per night that were nicer. At the overall price would have expected the the breakfasts to be included, sadly they were over £20 a breakfast, so we ate out. Shame really as of the three places we booked for our tour it looked the best, but was not. This is the first negative review I have ever done, so is disappointing for all.

Amazing historic coaching inn. If you're interested in history, you're going to love this place. 12 kings or queens have stayed here, since 1223. Apparently the hotel has recently been taken over by an independent operator, who has invested heavily in upgrading the rooms. Ours was very comfortable, nicely decorated and very spacious. Staff very friendly and I will definitely stay here again.
