The only thing we liked that met our expectations was the meals, Dinner and Breakfast. Well prepared food and delicious. Great work by the Chefs.

The place did not live up to the expectation created by the glossy pics on the website. The place is actually old and does not live up to its name, A New Capital Hotel! Our room door did not lock properly unless you pulled shut when leaving or pushed hard when inside. The first time we nearly left the door ajar as we thought the door plunger would push it close. One of the hinges showed that it was recently welded to repair something. Having to wait almost two hour for the iron and ironing board. Breakfast is said to start at 06h30, and you expect everything to be ready by then. But I remember we could not wait for the eggs, and took our breakfast without eggs. Those that had patience stood the queue.

*It smelled so fresh and welcoming when you entering the hotel. * Bed was very comfortable..... pillows 100%

*The bathroom did not have light, we notified reception aporn arrival that we had no light, they promised to bring someone to fix it but ended up bathing in the dark and no one came to assist. *The room did not have a bar fridge. *The carpet was dirty and the room smelt stuffy.

Cow heel was well cooked we enjoyed it. The fact that you can take food and drinks into your room imbibed that.

Cooking..the butternut, was having too much oil, and custard/ pudding was too sweet. In the room for coffee, please add more fresh milk because coffee is strong.

I loved the service of the staff. Rooms were very clean. The pool was wonderful. The staff went an extra mile with assisting me with surprising someone there. Agnes and the manager really went all out.

The restaurant...the service from there was bad. They took forever to bring the menu, we sat there for a good 10mins, without being attended, before leaving. Some of the staff were very rude.
