We got a big room

The reception staff were friendly and accommodating, clean towels supplied. Fridge in room. room size accommodated 3 people - family room
The room was not clean, walls carpet and bed bases stained, mould around window, no curtains. Room hot but fans provided. Stairwell entrance carpet filthy. Not a place you wish to spend time. We never had breakfast because of the noted dirty environment

Cosy, convenient spot to stay. We were in London for Star Wars Celebration, and getting to and from the Excel was easy (quick 20 minute journey on the Elizabeth Line & DLR, all overground too if you aren't a fan of the underground). Breakfast was a simple help yourself buffet arrangement and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large, acceptably clean and exactly what we needed. The beds were also very comfortable, and extra blankets were left in the room which was very much appreciated.
Overall a lovely little place!
Some hooks on doors and similar things were broken or missing, particularly in the bathroom. This did not cause any issues for our stay but weren't particularly nice to look at. The TV remote was also missing its power button, which meant it had to be turned off/on at the wall socket. Just small things.

We had to wait for breakfast as the restaurant was too small to cater for customers wanting breakfast at the same time, but the staff were still willing to cook eggs for the last people wanting breakfast. The staff were very pleasant and helpful making us feel very welcome. Arranging for taxis for us and letting us know when it had arrived. Thank you
Having a shower head that reaches the holder so we did not have to hold it whilst trying to wash

1) There was no lock in the bathroom's door. Requested the staff to get it fixed but even on my fifth day of stay it wasn't fixed. Extremely poor customer service.
2)The room was extremely hot and humid.

The breakfast was quite nice. The location is ideal with the shops around and public transport if needed. It was not as noisy as I expected it to be which is good.
The window on the ceiling is horrendous. I understand fully that might be the design of the rooms but it’s summer and sun rises so early so it was only appropriate that a cover was offered to us as an option coz we all woke up too early and we really needed that rest. So we were all knackered.

The staff was really nice. The location was beautiful as well. Breakfast was really good. The variety of food was splendid as well.
The room and building itself needs a little upgrading. A doorhanger replaced with a screw for instance. The walls need a repaint and the showerhead kept on coming off as well. For this price I'd expect a proper done up room. The temperature in the room wasnt pleasant either. The helpfull staff tried to fix it by providing a fan but with 5 people in the room it helped only a little

we didn’t like much about it at all
it wasn’t the cleanest ! didn’t like the area ! at breakfast whom three of my party didn’t come to everyone was stealing cutlery from your table and right up your backside when u were trying to get
stuff ! girls in dining room were lovely and hard working but they have some task

It was close to the tube station
The beds were rock solid, the wall was damaged, there was a hole in the curtain.

Room on 2nd floor , no lift very narrow stairs, very small uncomfortable bed , request for room at lower but rejected, breakfast was very normal.

Good location- we had to be at Redbridge Sports centre early Saturday morning. On-site parking.
crisp clean ironed bedding and very white fluffy towels.
Our room backed onto a communal yard area which was brightly lit. The curtain did not block out the light.
