Not too far from highway
Stunk of cooking oil. Cold uncomfortable didn't feel too safe with 2 locks on the door extremely shabby except bathroom didn't have the facilities it said it had eg restaurant spa sauna it did have a spa but it looked more like a dirty pond. Got the feeling it was more for permanent people not overnight stays.

Lovely staff and family environment
Two occasions I had guests try to get in my room at night . I think they were unsure what room they had .
I had a car pull up out side my room on the last night with their headlights on shining in my room and just sat there until I carefully moved the curtain to let who it was know someone was there . They then turned the lights down but stayed there . Then slowly drove off about 10 min later. Seemed odd and disturbing they pulled up there around midnight .

Easy check in. Easy to find. Reasonably clean.
Other guests loud. Not in town so Taree shops more than a walk away. Beds uncomfortable.

Host was vey welcoming. He got up from his desk to open the door for me when I pulled up, and also came out to farewell me when we left, addressing me by name. Lovely country outlook, plenty of space for car parking.
A breakfast option would have been good.

The bathroom was newly renovated and was very attractively done. Towels clean and soft. Air con was very useful as it was very hot while we were there. The bed and bedding were both comfortable. TV great, WiFi appreciated. Room was clean and freshly painted.
The view from the front door of room 29 was that of a large rubbish pile and the view from the back window was a rusty old shipping container, an old trailer and more rubbish. Maybe some lattice or brush fencing could be used to hide some of this if it can't be easily removed. Shower had a dispenser for shampoo but no conditioner, and liquid soap, but no face washer was provided to allow for efficient use of the soap. Microwave did not have instructions and was not easy to work out. A sponge or chux wipe would have been helpful to wipe the bench after washing up.

The room was clean and comfortable and is a great stop from Brisbane to Sydney. The bed was comfortable and the fridge was the best I have found in a hotel.
The was a draft coming from the door, but the doona and air-conditioner kept us warm.

The renovated bathroom was nice, having a kitchen sink and bench with microwave and crockery and cutlery supplied was extremely helpful. The rural view out from the rear of the room was pleasant, and I enjoyed watching the local birdlife. William was very helpful and friendly during check in.
The mismatched and very dated floor coverings in the main area of the room weren't particularly welcoming - hopefully this room is still in the renovation stage.

Location. Decent crockery and cutlery. Aircon was a good brand and worked well.
Extremely dirty and dusty with extreme cobwebs behind bed. The power outlet was also pulled away from the mounting plate exposing live electrical wires.
Bathroom renovation was good but area between the bathroom tiles and the kitchen area linoleum has exposed concrete.
Storage furniture (bedside chests and wardrobe) were ridiculous cheap crap and already about 10 years old.....very poor.
Wall mounted TV was too small for watching from the bed which was only place you could make yourself comfortable enough to chill.

Location was good, central to everything.
The beds were EXTREMELY uncomfortable very hard, the room was not cleaned well at all we actually cleaned the shower ourselves before we had a shower.

Stayed in the family suite and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. huge space, clean room, comfortable enough bed!
