There was a large and loud 15th birthday party on our second night that closed the restaurant. We had been warned and the hotel offered (and we accepted) to be moved to a room as far from the party as possible on our second night. Whilst we still heard the music it helped a lot! The breakfast after the party was all as it should be with all signs of the huge party cleared away by 7am.

the silent and calm atmosphere, the room facilities are very good, the staffs are very helpful. I was left at early morning before the breakfast time, the hotel was prepared good breakfast for me.

The waiting time for hot water was near 3-5 minutes.

Great location, very spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Beautiful old monastery and nice terrace for breakfast which was good as well. Friendly staff.

No hot water at 6am just later . The restaurant except breakfast was rather poor and must be improved. The sauce of the ceviche wasn't handmade nor the sauce béarnaise. The meat wasn't high quality.

The hotel has a spectacular setting in a former monastery at the historic heart of Popayan; the cloisters and view from the street are picturesque and impressive. Staff were pleasant, with some English spoken. The included breakfast was quite good, a mix of a buffet and cooked egg dishes. My room on the upper floor had a private patio. Some of the center's better restaurants were close by, and all the main sights are an easy walk. The airport is barely a five-minute ride away.

The actual accommodations are extremely tired; it looks like not much has been invested since the hotel opened, maybe 50 or 60 years ago. The five-star rating may reflect a lot of event facilities, but my room was well below that. Front desk staff initially miscopied the wifi code, requiring a trip back to sort it out. I also found a locked gate when I tried to go out in the early evening, and had to chase down staff who were on break. My minibar had liquor bottles that had been tampered with (probably refilled with water).

Beautiful colonial building.

I would love to see a more beautiful garden, plenty of space to make it 1000 times prettier.

Old rooms, there was a party the night of our stay so we couldn’t sleep.

I was happy the first day but then… PARTY! A super noisy 15s Party was organized in the hotel without any prior advice and the full hotel went on fire! Amazing how such a big hotel can neglect all its costumers organizing these kind of events, letting almost everybody without sleeping… I would have appreciated to be signaled at least during checking-in. Eventually, I could have looked for another hotel for that night.

Avoidable noise, letting down all clients’ sleep. Plus the lie, not mentioning while checking-in the happening to be held next day!

An amazing old building, great terrace and garden. The room was big and very quiet.

Wifi a bit weak in the bedroom due to the old walls, but plenty nice spaces to sit elsewhere to get wifi.

The building of the hotel itself is a piece of art, its history goes back to the 16th century. It is located at the heart of centro, a district beautifully preserved in its authentic colonial image. This establishment deserves each of the 5 stars.

The breakfast could be improved by adding more variety such as soup.

Really beautiful old building right in the centre of the old town. Strolling around the open hallway overlooking the courtyard in the quiet of the morning to get my morning coffee was a really nice experience.

It was extremely peaceful and the people were very nice.

It was a touch warm in the bathroom seemed very cramped
