Reasonably comfortable and relatively modern premises. Restaurant and breakfast serving staff very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was quite good - albeit pretty much standard continental/German fayre.

Pretty much echo numerous other reviews - 'same old, same old' ... Perhaps the Hotel Management could learn from these issues - and action some remedies ... And at the very least, tender a courteous reply (any reply) to many customers' concerns. A significant number of concerns are repetitive (submitted by many different Nationalities with different cultural backgrounds - possibly expectations). Not really bothered about subjective hard or soft beds - so here are a few of our observations that tend to reflect many others (plus some new ones - read on!): - Comfort double room - not a comfort room. The room we were eventually allocated (after a cheeky attempt to fob us off with a cramped and bland twin room) and paid extra for, bore little resemblance to the lavish illustration on website and booking sites - not even a sitting area as described - Room dated and decor a little tired - Room/bathroom not quite 'German' clean - Moody reception staff - Parking very limited - most spaces seem to be occupied by non-resident evening diners - When you cannot find a space - you have to reverse all the way out onto a busy main road - Overflow parking is up a hill - about 5 minutes walk (you cannot unload suitcases at reception because of the reversing congestion) - A churlish €1.00 daily parking fee levied during checkout (including up the hill) - despite a 'final price you will pay' confirmation from Booking - Aforesaid main road location = a noisy experience when window is open Some additional points: - Whilst trying to sort out the room fiasco - reception staff murmured their dissatisfaction over our stance ... Their assumption was that because we booked via UK Booking.com and spoke English to each other - that we were English speakers only. We understood everything that was said and implied - my wife being a German national and raised in Pirna! - Restaurant house red wine at €42 per bottle - no alternative and no warning!

The staff was very friendly and helpful! Location was great and the fact they have their own restaurant is great when you want to stay in. Pool and sauna are great to have, be aware that the sauna is expected to be naked.

Parking was a little small for a bigger car.

No Rubber bump stop on bathroom door. Charge for breakfast on bill. Unexpected.

Most of the staff were rather unfriendly including waiters and waitresses. The food is terrible and the whole setup is not designed for people who just book a night or two. I suspect the hotel mostly has as a target group large groups of pensionist travellers arriving by the busload and they are maybe not so likely to complain.

Very clean and nice hotel. Not too expensive. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Dinner in the hotel restaurant is amazing good. To the hiking location about 20 min to drive.
