An exceptional accommodation offering an off-the-beaten-track rural experience set in the heart of the Douro valley hillside. Maria Delores is a wonderful host who goes out of her way to please and make your stay as enjoyable as anyone can. Nothing is too much trouble. if you need anything, just ask. Super breakfast, room full of local character with wonderful views in every direction.

Maria Dolores is the best host. The care for detail is noted in every corner. The accommodation is very comfortable and spacious. The little house with toys it was a treat for the kids. Definitely a wonderful experience and we will get back for sure.

The hosts were fantastic, very attentive & helpful. Maria's food, both quality & portions, were equally great. Great to feel a little 'off grid' & enjoy stunning scenery up high in the hills around the Douro. Maria was always on hand to anything we needed & was happy to give us information on anything we needed to know. You will not be disappointed if you stay here & the added bonus of a pool is great after a day of hiking We will miss waking up to the beautiful views here......& of course Maria & Fredirico!!

Professionalism, quality of natural food, atention and care

Needed more time to enjoy the perfect region

Breackfast was very good, good and fresh bread every day, orange juice, home made jams delicious. The place was very good, very clean and very confortable. I loved the walk to 'Rio Bestança', it's a lovely place, 'pure nature'. Maria Dolores, the owner was very nice, helpful and always with a smile.

The host/owner was always present and helpful to make our stay the best it could be. She went out of her way to solve any problem we might have. She had the fireplace lit in our rooms as we were a bit chilly and she put a coffee maker in our room so we could have our coffee first thing.

There is nothing to not like about this location if you enjoy quaint, rural, and rustic. We drove there and the roads are mountainous with signage difficult at times. Definitely a fun adventure.

Nice view, quiet, good facilities.

Bad internet reception, the hostess limited us to use the WiFi until 4pm every day. We were charged separately for every item we consumed, even for fruits we were offered by her from the garden. The price of the fruits and other item were high, but we hadn’t any choice since there is no other options around (no restaurants or supermarkets).

The owner is a very nice person and always willing to help, the house is located in a beautiful place especially if you like to be in contact with nature. The breakfast is wonderful, home made and delicious.
