Concierge was far from up to par. Very poor English skills for that position. Couldn’t plan out a day.

location is excellent. Few minutes walk to the nearest train station. Handy to restaurants & coffee shops. Also close to a night market.

the free shuttle which operates only on weekends could be offered every day.

The breakfast fruit juice section was very good. Pastry section was also very good. The service staff was generally very polite and ready to serve especially the staff from the Club Lounge. Club Lounge selection of food and drinks offered was reasonably good. Although the Hotel is quite old you can see that effort has been made to upgrade the facilities of rooms and outlook of the hotel to as modern as possible. I would not say that this is a dated hotel. The Earthquake warning system was actually very good. Keep the hotel guest informed and clear instruction during the quake and updated the progress of the quake via intercom system. Not confuse as to what to do during the quake. Thumbs Up!!!

The breakfast has a very big selection of food. But lack taste in the cooking. It may be my personal preference. Everything tasted very bland. Did not not enjoy the breakfast. The key card system of the lift was not working. I could access every floor without a room key card. Not acceptable. The remotes in the room (TV, Day and Night Curtain) did not work properly just a bit irritating. The housekeeper who did our room did not actually vacuum the room. As I could still see scrap (quite a bit) on the carpet after the room was done. It was attend to immediately but should not have happen in the first place. Location was not very good if Subway or Metro is your preferred mode of transport. Buses are conveniently nearby.

The family room is very spacious with 2 super single bed and a super queen size bed. The bed and pillow are very comfortable and we had good sleep during our stay. The view is awesome! Can see Taipei 101 clearly. Train station is just a 10min walk considering i have a 4 year old child walking along with us. It is also conveniently located next to the mall. Easy to get essential items or late night snacks from the supermarket if you are one who goes for supper.

Nothing that we did not like.

The location though away from the CBD centre, is quite accessible by public transportation or taxi. The staff are very efficient and helpful. There are many excellent restaurants which serve remarkable foodie.

The noise (from refurbishing rooms?) was a wee bit uneasy in the morning around 8:00.

Amazing! Splendid hotel with the softest cloud of a bed! Comfort level at its maximum. Bathroom is luxurious. Desk is superb! And the 101 view with the mountains in the background just terrific. Add the rooftop swimming pool! Staff courteous and responsive.

The buffet dining at Café Far Eastern was such a letdown! I had really looked forward to it, having booked a table months ahead, but I was escorted to possibly the least desirable seat in the entire restaurant, stuck in a corner! The rowdy stampede of diners surely did not help the situation. Oh well, never again. At least not that buffet. I do feel terrible about adding this negative point to an otherwise excellent hotel, but it had to be pointed out.
