Pequeno Almoço excelente com uma variedade muito acima da média. Excelentes os ovos Benedict!! Produtos regionais, doces e queijos, sempre presentes!! Excelente zona de piscina e spa com espaços circundantes espaçosos e salão panorâmico espetacular.
Os valores praticados no Bar de apoio à piscina, para o almoço e o restaurante para o jantar um pouco despendiosos, o que faz com que tenhamos de sair do Hotel para fazer algumas refeições...

Amazing staff, amazing bed, a nice spa and a very good breakfast with top quality food and beverages. absolutely recommend. We got a room upgrade for free and without asking.
We were forced to buy a swimming cap to use the pool. Makes me wonder if they ask everybody to use a cap during summer…

the interior felt stale and the pictures didnt match reality. The place had an old fashioned feel. The pool area needs a refresher. Didnt justify a 5 star hotel at all.

Endlessly interesting. So many unique and random design elements. Amazing array of raw, natural and polished mosaic marble features. Brilliant pool and out door relaxing area. Big beautiful rooms . Lovely chocolate and port welcome. Friendly staff knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and the town. Fabulous food at the restaurant.
The amazing art and decoration is a disjointed and random. It was a brilliant experience and delight to see each thing but it left me with a strong desire to reorganise and align the decoration.

the rooms were nice and clean. location is great. parking in the garage is good.
the food in the restaurant was very bad. do not eat here. we stayed in SLH hotels before but this is not according to the standard. staff informed us that their restaurant was closed couple of months ago and the neighbor restaurant is now their place but again not SLH worthy. furthermore had a lot of kids in the hotel, we were slightly overwhelmed by this and their noise😞

hotel was clean. breakfast was good and in a lovely setting. the pool and spa areas looked nice, but we did not use.
in general, this hotel did not meet expectations as a “Small Luxury Hotel of the World.” while staff tried hard, most seemed to be new and clearly being trained (possibly due to post-pandemic). the marble decor everywhere was gaudy and mismatched. the hallways and our room were musty. also felt out of place in the small otherwise humble town. in hindsight wished we’d skipped this stay, which was a stopover between Douro and Algarve.
