Nice location closed to the city center. You can work around to visit many old buildings.

We booked three single rooms, only one room has the towel, and the service center only work in afternoon, so two of us didn't have the towel in the first day. Also, no breakfast, no luggage locker.

price, location, THE STAFF (all the front desk employees, the cleaning staff, the manager), flexibility, safety, everything. i loved kolping hostel. it's perfect for what it is meant to be - accessible affordable shelter. they take all the cleanliness and covid precautions.

honestly, please don't change anything. i just wish there were more places like this with comparable prices. similar youth hostels typically require a membership. i did not read the story about kolping until recently. good dude, i think he would be happy to know it's still serving his mission well.

It was overpriced for what it was, small, dowdy room, shared bathroom with a little mold in the tiling, no breakfast.

The receptionist was friendly. The safety measures at this Corona time are followed and maintained appropriately. The location is center of the city where hotels, bars, tourist attractions can be reached within minutes.

The bed was very dirty. They put the clean bed sheet folded on the bed and wanted us to make the bed.

Excellent friendly and helpful staff (ALL of them). Staff offered to carry my luggage up to my room. Staff provided me a cold compress upon request. Sink, desk and large closet space inside dorm room. Comfortable mattress and nice bedsheets. 3 large garbage bins inside room. Perfect location - everything is walking distance including train station 12 mins away. Large area with tables with floor to ceiling windows to hang out there or do some work if you like with excellent Wifi, but if you want to meet others, this is a quiet space. Luggage storage available. Later checkout (11am) on weekends.

Very slow Wifi on the room floor which made it not possible to make video and voice calls - important for a traveller. No charging outlet at bedside which is essential as a traveller. Old metal bunk frame - I hit my head very hard on it. No swipe card to enter rooms, only keys which guests must lock from the inside and outside. This is inconvenient, noisy and takes time. One bed is a few inches from the lock which would disturb a sleeping guest overnight. Noise coming from outside until very late from people hanging out in the public park directly across the hostel. No air conditioner. Washrooms not cleaned and aired out by cleaning staff regularly. No soap in ladies washroom for more than 24 hours. No curtains or doors at some shower stalls. No atmosphere and community. No community events planned by hostel. Difficult to meet other guests.
