Lovely house, with great kitchen and communal space. Very close to the centre and helpful staff. The room was warm and cosy and we were very comfortable.

Everything was perfect, apart from the minor issue of loud creaky floorboards, especially when people were leaving very early in the morning. However this was a minor inconvenience and would not affect us staying there again

I really did like this hostel. Big common area where we can meet other travelers, huge kitchen, liked the possibility of taking breakfast there if needed. They also have a laundry service. Good recommandations of things to see in the area. Everything was super clean.

I was arriving into town early and It was complicated to check in outside the designated time.

We really enjoyed our stay, the bedroom was comfortable, clean and warm. The staff were friendly, helpful and the common spaces were really nice.

We were a little disappointed that the booking.com listing mentions that it includes breakfast, when this isn’t the case. It’s also not ideal you can’t use the kitchen til 11am, as the staff are using it for the paid breakfast.

The heather was turned off before midnight, that made our room to get cold, plus the beds weren’t really comfortable and the showers are very small. They could also add some fruits in their breakfast menu.

We loved our stay in Hostal Compass del Sur. Nelly, the woman in charge when we were there, was very attentive and kind. The kitchen exceeded our expectations: every cooking tool you would like to use, is there. The beds were extremely comfortable and the showers warm. Wifi was perfect too.

The attention of Mauro and his wife was incredible, always attentive to details and attentive to how we could help in our plans to get to know the region. The hotel is always clean, the breakfast is very tasty and they constantly maintain the COVID-19 sanitary standards. The location of the hostel is the best, it allows you to walk to any part of the city comfortably and have peace and quiet in the morning while enjoying the birds that have a nest next to the entrance of the hostel. If you want to go to Puerto Varas and rest it is the best option. Ahhh and they speak Spanish, English, German and Swedish.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and bathrooms, well equiped kitchen, the hostel is stylish, there's large conversation/sitting/working areas downstairs. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend!

Breakfast was great, especially with options for muesli and eggs. Room was very comfortable. The staff was super kind. I appreciated that I could use their hairdryer. The cost was very low for the quality of our stay.

the hostel feels like a very warm and cozy place, very modern and clean, especially the bathrooms are great! close to supermarkets and the lake, many things to do in the area, you can meet a lot of people, the beds are reaaally comfortabel! Slept like a baby :)

What they could improve is the breakfast (it is nice but maybe they could add some fruits or eggs for free) and the opening hours of the kitchen should start earlier (I wanted to prepare some porridge around 9 AM since I still had some left but you are only allowed to use the kitchen from 12 PM)

Super clean, nice breakfast with selfmade bread, comfy beds, nice backyard, lockers in room, every bed had own light, friendly staff, super Wi-Fi, close to supermarkets. We really enjoyed our stay here!
