Beautiful, peaceful, and well-run hotel. The staff were top-notch. The grounds offer opportunities to see many bird species.

Breakfast, (eg, yogurt, fruit, eggs, bread) was fresh and nicely prepared. The staff were all very nice, friendly, and helpful. The location is about 20 minutes from the international airport and a good option to staying in Quito. The grounds are expansive and lovely with trails to walk and places to relax outside.
Be aware that planes will occasionally fly overhead. We didn't find this bothersome.

the resort was well run. The owner was involved. It was a beautiful wildlife preserve with an amazing variety of birds, especially hummingbirds, which we could watch from the outdoor patio. We wish we could have stayed longer
Not being able to plan tours, ahead of time, with the cost being clear.

Food was good but need to have alternatives for diet restrictions. Staff was great doing what they could to make options.
Optional meals for diet restrictions.

Beautiful unique location preserving wildlife in a beautiful setting. Gorgeous character rooms.
Service was lacking. Staff couldn't get basic orders right. Asked to early pay bills, rushed out of restaurant/bar because staff wanted to leave. Pool was too dirty to use on a nice sunny day.

The grounds and facilities were beautifully maintained with lots of birds and flowers!! The staff were awesome and very accomodating. The restaurant menu was good and staff were awesome!
Since Ecuador is generally a little chilly they really should heat the pool and keep the chairs, tables, .. by the pool cleaned and dust free. The water was just too cold to swim in.

Beautiful land with a gorgeous canyon to hike around. loved the bird feeders and the number of birds who came to the lodge.
wish I had more time to spend there!

I had the most lovely night at Hacienda Jimenita. The short walks available are beautiful with many birds to spot and acts as a nice short escape from the city (or pit stop before flying home with close distance to the airport). The staff are so friendly and helpful (I was offered a free upgrade without even asking due to an issue with my other room), and the food from the restaurant is incredible. highly recommend!
nothing! great place to stay!

We loved this place. It is so pretty; lots of character in the rooms and the common areas. The grounds are beautiful with so many places to explore or to just sit and relax. The staff were amazing - friendly, helpful and great to deal with. We ate dinner at the restaurant and had a fabulous meal. We only had a few hours (arrived in the afternoon, left early in the morning) but were so glad we choose to stay here for our last night in Ecuador.

Staff was so helpful and friendly. We LOVED the location and peaceful setting. Rooms were large and very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in Quito.
Nothing! It was great!

This place is unbelievable! A highlight of our 2 weeks in Ecuador. It is a beautiful property on acres of land. It is 20 minutes from Quito airport and they will pick you up and drop you off for free. Flowers, birds and fruit trees everywhere. While eating breakfast, there are tons of hummingbirds that come to the feeders and yellow taningers and doves. The staff just wants to please and are so friendly and helpful. The hacienda is in it’s 4th generation of ownership. We went on a birding tour on the property with the owner. The food is fabulous. The restaurant from the wine to the food is NYC restaurant quality. It was so good that we ate there again the second night. The presentation of the food and the quality was just so good. The rooms are roomy unlike elsewhere in Ecuador. We had a balcony off our room where we could watch the hummingbirds and the sunsets. The breakfast

I loved this place. It is a magical space and very unique. It brings something to you that you may not have known you needed. It’s healing. I liked the design of how you could go hiking deep and still be on the property. The nature is lush and powerful. It was designed perfectly for those who love being in nature.

it was rural and there were some interesting birds
beds were not made up.
coffee pot and cups weren’t washed after first night.
they ran out of the house white wine.
it was on the airport flight path so noisy.
cockerel crowed from about 3am.
menu was on wi fi no paper menu.
no information about the hacienda and activities available in the room.

The restaurant is excellent, local rustic food, very tasty and well presented, slightly on the pricey side, staff is very polite. Lovely garden with lots of birds and small seats to relax. Large and comfortable rooms.

It is beautifully rustic with modern amenities. Fires in the stove in the cool evenings. Fun early morning birding and challenging hikes into the gorge. A welcoming and clean swimming pool and an inventive and accommodating chef! We will stay again! Also the owner speaks freely about his desire to preserve the ecosystem!

It was the most tranquil place I’ve ever stayed. It’s as if you’ve been transported to your own hacienda far from the hustle and bustle of the city ( and it’s actually only 10 minutes from the airport.) There are trails galore, llamas to feed, nooks and crannies, verandas and patios to relax and take In the countless hummingbirds and other species. I felt as if I had taken time out of travel craziness to really enjoy life and peace. The staff made us feel as if we were family. We will definitely be back - probably just to stay here!

What a wonderful place! We only stayed one night having been in the Galapagos before our flight back home and wished we’d had a night or 2 longer in this gorgeous hacienda. We stayed in the spacious suite “Cotopaxi”, with its huge comfortable bed and incredible shower, it was nice to get properly cleaned up before our flight home! We loved walking around the trails spotting birds and meeting the llamas, we only wish we’d had more time. Dinner, breakfast and lunch in the restaurant was delicious, the staff very obliging.
Having to leave too soon!
