Staff were friendly and helpfull

No airflow. Room was baking hot with no AC or ventilation. Struggled to sleep both night we were there and my partner suffered breathing difficulties due to the excessive heat. Lights didn't work, and shower was stone cold on our second morning.

I was able to park, although limited parking space.

The staff were unfriendly, the lady at the check out was rude. I woke up in the middle of the night on day two from noise coming from another room.

the main reception is being refurbed and it does look very nice.

Before arriving I had received messages from the hotel about arrival time and to offer various upgrades such as a change of room, afternoon tea and late check out etc. apparently these are automated by booking.com even though they are signed off by best western reception, which is why none of the messages informed us of any issues. Upon arrival to the hotel i checked in, paid for the room, had my ID taken and a £50 security deposit, it was at that point we were told that there was an electrical issue with some of the rooms so we were going to a hotel around the corner, which wasn’t even the same chain. We queried this, why we weren’t told before then and after we have paid. We were out with friends so booked the same hotel so we could head our together. We went back and forth with the receptionist and we asked if there were any other rooms in the hotel, to which she said they were booked up. The lady made a couple of calls and then 2 others turned up and all of a sudden a room was available they just needed to make sure it was ready and it would take 5 minutes. The receptionist did apologise and offered us a drink whilst we waited, then a gentleman turned up again offered a drink and said 5 minutes, it was about 20 at this point. he went and checked the room and we could go in. The room was tiny, but apparently for 3 people, we were advised it had an ironing board and hairdryer, it did not, we got one from reception, iron didn’t work and ironing board was wet, the toilet had marks in it and the shower head did not work properly it had a leak and water also went over the shower screen and all over the bathroom floor. The bed was rock hard and could feel the springs. We didn’t really see anyone other than our friends at the hotel which i think is was a bit odd and the advertised breakfast which you pay for extra for could not be accommodated, you had to go to another hotel for this.

Bed uncomfortable. Room too hot despite it being Ocober. Shower broken before we used it.

we took 3 rooms for 7 people . ie one was triple room . The check-in was smooth . The rooms are well maintained but small. the free continental breakfast provided is the same from monday to friday with some additions on saturday and sunday . The property is near to Ilford metro and bus station . There are lot of restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner . Overall nice 7 days at BW Greater London @ Ilford

Great location. Near to shops, tube station and buses. The breakfast is excellent.

The door card had to be reactivated daily evening due to room service security.
