Our room was very simple but very clean and perfect for our 2-day stay. (I think they also have bigger rooms with a bigger private bathroom so this is just about our specific room!). There was also a small balcony great for hanging swimming suits and towels. The shared showered were always clean and there is hot water. It was actually great to get a shower outside on the ground floor so everything is clean inside the hotel. There is a shared space with a table microwave and electric kettle and anything you need to prepare and eat simple things. The location is great, in the "village center". You can rent masks and other snorkeling equipment at a cheaper price than the main beaches.

One closet in a room would be nice, or some shelfs. Because there is nothing to put your stuff on.
Sound proof from the common area is not enough, try to think of something. I was in the pre season and could hear people moving, closing opening banging with stuff (housekeeeping)

A nice guesthouse on Zamami island. Conveniently located - just few minutes walk from the harbour and a little bit longer to both beaches. Plenty of restaurants and bars in proximity.
The owner of the place speaks good English and is super helpful. There is also a possibility of renting a snorkel set.
Our room had a bathroom but water in a shower was cold. This isn't really a problem though as there are communal showers outside and the water is perfect there.

Great location close to both main beaches and close to everything in the village. Clean and tidy. AC and a small fridge worked well. High ceilings!
Very thin walls, even in quiet hours you hear people talking, moving around, using the water, etc. Like on a campsite.

Simple and clean room with perfect access to the village, ferry and resturants.
High ceiling makes the room feel more spacious, not cramped.
It can be said that there are thin walls, so if the person next door is making a lot of noise, you will hear it. Bring earplugs if you are sensitive .-)

A 5-min walk from Zamami port in a quiet neighborhood with two eateries on either side.
We could walk to either AMA beach or Furuzami beach in about 20 minutes.
This place is perfect for those who want a genuinely laid-back , rustic but CLEAN and reasonably priced accommodation with the option of staying in a small, private room like we had.
Thank you to the kind staff. Zamami is the best!

The staff were second to none. Very welcoming and spoke English well. So much so we decided to stay another night! We felt apart of the community! Great stay!

This guesthouse was a good place for our family to stay. It’s conveniently located near the port and restaurants in town. Since our ferry didn’t leave until 3pm, they allowed us to store our luggage near the front office after checkout.
They provided tea mugs, but no tea. A few tea bags would have been nice.

Very quiet, in the middle of the village. We did not bring a car, and had two boys (5 & 8). We were able to walk anywhere in the village in 1-4 minutes.
It is a 20-25 min walk to Ama beach and Furuzamami beach. Or a 2 min shuttle/bus ride.
The owners are very kind, and happy to accommodate. There are rooms with toilets, but the one we stayed in did not. The shared bathrooms/shower rooms are very clean and well kept. I give this property my highest recommendation.
The common space was not a place to eat, but we were allowed to eat in our room. But the table in the room was very small, and we were worried our young boys might spill on the tatami mats.

The rooms are basic but clean, you get enough space for your stuff
The host is very attentive and professional. I went on a SUP & snorkeling tour with him and even though i'm not a confident swimmer, i felt safe and taken care of the whole time. I've seen some amazing fish and corals as well
This has nothing to do with the property, but when it's off-season, there's not many food options

The location was great. It was near the port. I had a corner room with a balcony so I could hang out my washing. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and smiley and everything was well signed with respect to COVID. I did a long walk to a lookout and saw some historical monument. I also went on a boat snorkelling trip with the owner which was really nice. And when I went snorkelling by myself I saw a turtle on Ama beach.
It was a little difficult to find restaurants that were open and had vegetarian food at this time.
