Great house, amazing selection of games and puzzles. Very comfortable for our family of four.

Daughter & her family stayed here, We alternated cooking duties Place was very clean. Within 5 minutes of where Her dad, brother , niece & I were located Great place for kids to ride bikes

We will definitely rent here again. The only change next time would like to have to have 2 dbl beds instead of twn beds for 1 of the BR's anda shorter distance to walk to & from he beach. We are already talking about going back next year.

Property is very accommodating. It is well-equipped with all the things you’d have in your home even the small things such as night lights. Susie provides timely and detailed information that ensures a smooth rental experience. We’d stay again!

This Sparrow Pond cottage was our introduction to Kiawah Island and we weren't disappointed. The cottage was roomy, clean, well lit, had comfortable beds, and a well equipped kitchen. The furniture style was dated, but very comfortable. Cycling on the beach was exhilarating! (my husband is 80 and I'm 78) Susie, the property manager, was terrific! Her quick responses to our questions and the clear paperwork that was emailed to us helped to create a very relaxing vacation.. We would love to return to the area. JR

We had a wonderful time! The cottage is roomy with a huge kitchen there’s plenty of space for everyone. We enjoyed our bike rental and explored the island every day.

Great location on quiet end of island, easy 2 mile bike ride to the Sanctuary, excellent communication with property manager, stocked with everything you could need. Wifi worked great for our virtual schooling needs. We had a great stay and look forward to our next visit!

It was a great vacation. The house was in a great location. They also had great internet which was great because two of us had to work some while there. We really enjoyed our time there.

Loved our stay here! The Sparrow Pond setting is lovely/ peaceful & very close to beach access. The cottage was updated & very cozy. Susie was easy to contact & helpful if needed. I highly recommend this property!

Our family had a wonderful time at this property. Susie was awesome to work with and very timely responding to any questions we had. We also loved the location, community pool, and short bike ride to the beach. Also, you can walk to Cougar Point to play golf! Awesome.

we enjoyed our stay at 1028 Scaup court Easter weekend and the week following. great location right near the front gate and the beautiful west beach. Clean. Newer kitchen and bathrooms. We appreciate the flexibility on our arrival dates. Not having or allowing a gas grill was quite inconvenient and would likely cause us to seek a different house on our next visit. would strongly encourage the owner to change his mind on that.

Wonderful Cottage... Kiawah is one of our favorite places to getaway... We had a short amount of time and we were able to grab this cottage for a super long weekend... Great atmosphere!! Super Clean! Everything you need is right there at your fingertips... The space is laid out well with such a relaxing atmosphere... It is a quiet area with lots of natural light coming through... The glassed in porch and huge deck are wonderful bonuses... Right near the beach as well... We have nothing but positive words to say about this place!!!!!

We loved our stay in Kiawah at this condo! It was close to everything, very well equipped (it even had a cast iron skillet!!) and perfectly laid out. There was plenty of room for my two teenagers and I loved the sunroom! Such a perfect house and the location can't be beat. Susie thoughtfully had dish and hand soap waiting for us and everything else is just a quick drive over to Fresh fields. Her attention to detail is not to be beat! We are all looking forward to spending time at this condo again soon.

Nice distance from the beach!

The property is well kept and better then the pictures, would highly recommend!! The location is great too just 25-30 minutes from Charleston and plenty to do around the property.

It is a pleasant stroll from the cottage amongst the trees, past the pool, to the spectacular beach. Definitely rent bikes for here and spend a few days exploring the interior on easy paved paths that wind through the island resort. The amenities of the cottage make any day complete. The kitchen is surprisingly well equipped, all rooms tidy and fully furnished, with digital services for distraction to suit. We all slept well and ate well in this cozy place like a nest full of happy sparrows.

We stayed for an entire week with my parents and brother for a wedding. The place was great and suited our needs. The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities, and the location was great - close to the beach and community pool, which was fantastic. Plus, we rented bikes from Alligator Bike (highly recommend!). Susie was very responsive in responding to questions before our arrival (and we didn't need to contact her at all throughout our stay). If we ever find our way back to Kiawah, we'd definitely look into staying here again!

Nice porch swing outside! First time we walked inside brought a smile to our faces. Loved the knotty pine floors and kitchen and the raised tray ceiling in the living room which really opened the place. Enjoyed eating breakfast in the sunroom. Very nice that our teens each had their own room. A great stay in Kiawah!

My wife and I spent 3 wonderful months at 1028 Scaup Court on Kiawah Island. The unit allowed for comfortable living by providing comfortable furniture, a well equipped kitchen and a very responsive property manager. The neighborhood was very quite as most of the other cottages were not occupied. Access to the beach is a reasonable walk of about 800 steps. We hosted guests on occasion and everyone of them was impressed with the cottage and found the guest bedrooms to be comfortable. Kiawah Island is located about 20 miles away from the hustle and bustle of Charleston and its suburbs but the nearby Freshfields Market complex and Bohicket Marina offered enough stores, restaurants and services to meet our normal needs. The weather was outstanding during our stay and allowed for daily walks on the beach and for occasional trips into the city, Needless to say we recommend this cottage.

Beautiful home with everything you need memories were made and we can't wait to go back

We were there the week of hurricane Matthew so we left early. But we had several fabulous days. We had alligator bikes drop off bikes before we got there. Then we rode in morning. Beach. Rode to lunch. Beach. Then dinner. And then bike ride. The location is fabulous. The inside is clean and nice. The smell is nice. I'll be back.

Property located in a very nice community which is close to the pool and a short walk to the beach. We loved being able to ride bikes both on the island and on the beach. Beach is beautiful and uncrowded. Great family environment. House is comfortable with an open floor plan. Would rent it again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was very comfortable and accessible to the beach and pool. We had a wonderful weekend at Kiawah and hope to return sometime next season. And, yes, we would try to book the same cottage again.

Our family just ended 10 days in paradise. Kiawah Island is more beautiful than I imagined. The pool and beach are truly just a 5-10 minute walk away. (I counted about 600 steps from the house to the water's edge.) There are numerous cycling and walking paths in the neighborhood, and around the rest of the island. But the best treat for us was riding for miles up and down the beach, with the wind in our faces, and waves crashing next to us. The comfortable and accommodating Sparrow Pond home coupled with Susie Oringel's exceptional property management made our family vacation absolutely perfect. The home is true to the pictures on VRBO. It has a very efficient use of space, along with large windows, skylights, and a tray ceiling in the family room to make the home feel larger. We were surprised that our family of 6 adults fit so well. Several of us cooked together, and the spacious kitchen accommodated us all without bumping into each other. We used the sunroom table for puzzles, reading, card games, and morning coffee; and ate at the counter and dining area table. There's plenty of comfortable seating area to watch tv. The home is well-equipped with large, functional appliances, and adequate cooking equipment. The only thing we found missing is a cutting board, so we bought an inexpensive set at the Tanger Outlet. (Our way of "paying it forward" for the future guests.). The super-sized washer and dryer are in a separate laundry, convenient and relatively quiet. The shared bathroom is the only room overdue for renovation. Age and humidity have taken its toll, but my adult-aged children didn't seem to mind. They did a great job renovating the master bath. So the other bath may be on the "to-do" list. Susie graciously provides information with grocery options. With the exception of seafood, my family was completely satisfied by what Harris Teeter had to offer. As a suggestion, get the HT Smartphone app, and VIC (loyalty) card, and the groceries will be quite reasonable. They had some exceptional surprises, too, like grilled chicken breasts, and inexpensive bagels/muffins/pastries produced by a local bakery. We will definitely return to Sparrow Pond. We've vacationed in Rehoboth Beach, Hilton Head, Aruba, and Myrtle Beach, to name a few beaches. But Kiawah beats them all.
