Close to the beach (2 minutes walking), friendly and very helpful staff, very good breakfast (proper coffee) and basic kitchen equipment for self use, comfy beds. Free water refill and organized scooter rental is very useful and convenient!

The dormitory with the private bathroom and the space to keep the luggage. Great pool, chilling place, friendly staff, great social hostel.

The location is a bit far from the main "centres" of the island where to find a bit of nightlife. Cleaning was good in the room, but could be better in the public toilet. One of the cleaning lady left all of her stuffs in there and it was really a mess.

Very nice accommodation. Including a good breakfast and they have all kinds of things available which you can use. The rooms are very clean and good.

Furnishings, decorations and the general vibe of Panama’s is fabulous! So welcoming and well taken care of, it felt like a home.

One of the better hostels I’ve stayed in in Asia. The evening activities foster a great culture for meeting people which is great as a solo traveller and helps if you arrive when people are out for the day. The beach is a short walk away as is 7-11 etc. and good nearby restaurants if you are not confident to ride a scooter on the island.

Nothing particular of note. The private rooms are a similar price to some hotels but if you want to meet people/ have the experience of a hostel etc. then it’s worth it.

The atmosphere, the common room, the beds, the amazing breakfast buffet, the pool, the combination of solo travelers but also a family place. Because it's not close to bars people spend time at the hostel, but not a party place. I travelled quit a bit and this is one off the best places I ever stayed.

In the end I had to leave the place. Ever dormroom had there own shower and toilet. It isn't even a negative, because there are only a couple people using your shower/toilet. It just could make it sometimes a bit noisy in mornings and euhh uncomfortable at night...

The setting of the aircon couldnt be changed, so at night it was either extremely hot or extremely cold. Beds were a little squeaking. Breakfast poor. Too expensive for a hostel in thailand.

It's a very happy, well designed, beautiful place with a pool and common areas to meet people.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed, really chilled atmosphere, beds are so comftable, close to the beach

We stayed 4 nights total after booking 1 night in the pool/garden facing room with ensuite bathroom and private balcony/terrace. The staff at reception are 10*. They were really friendly and helpful. Our bedroom had a Thai meets contemporary feel and was clean, maintained daily on request, linens refreshed on request. The private balcony/terrace had a small table and comfy contemporary Thai style cushions to relax on. The bathroom was small but decent size, with working hot water shower. The AC worked well. The pool clean and worm, enjoyable for swimming. We didn’t opt for the breakfast, but we did have the filter brew coffee.. Very good coffee! We paid for the first day for 2 large cups of coffee and they gave us refills the rest of our stay , which we greatly appreciated! We loved our private balcony, which was at the end of the garden with a view of the corner of the pool. The building was detached from the others, as in no shared walls, so we only had other guests living above us. This made our room quiet and peaceful. One night there was Thai karaoke going on next door but it finished at a reasonable time and didn’t bother us too much. The place is also a hostel, housed on the floor above the reception and breakfast area; again detached from the private rooms. It feels a young sociable place because of the hostel guests who seem to use the pool more regularly. We could rent a motorbike in decent condition as well as get help booking transfers to our next destination (Koh Mak) through reception, which all went smoothly. The location is a 2 minute walk to the beach and there are a few restaurants within walking distance, as well as a small shop across the road. There is also a 7-11 about 10-15 minutes walk away, but best to hire a motorbike to take advantage of all the sightseeing around Koh Mak. Altogether we were happy with our stay at Pajamas.

There are a lot of mosquitoes in the area (maybe due to the waste water rivers right next to the property) but the hotel provide mosquito repellent plug ins which was super helpful in the room and we were not bitten. From our room the sewage smell from the waste water was not apparent, until walking to the area by the pool closest to the beach, and along the path to the beach which overlooks the waste river. I imagine that the rooms overlooking this river experience the unfortunate smell & wonder if it would be particularly bad during rainy season. The bathroom could do with a little reburb / modernisation, and the bathroom windows cleaned from the outside.

This hostel is amazing. It's right next to one of Ko Changs most beautiful beaches and the hostel itself is beautiful, clean and has a great atmosphere. There are many places to hang out and the hostel organises stuff for everyone to do together (yoga, movie night etc). The staff was amazing. The breakfast is pretty divers and always good.

Next to the hostel is a little river (or sewage system) that smells horrible. You don't smell it inside but it wasn't great for relaxing at the pool. But it might be better after the next rain.

The property is an excellent value for money. The property management team is very friendly and staff are good. Very clean beds, bathrooms and towels (of course not allowed to carry towels to the beach). The common area with a lot of seating, cushions, bean bags, beach chairs, etc. is very good place to meet people and they kept a lot of stuff to keep you engaged. I think this is the greatest plus point of the property who need a bit of people around you. he beach which is just a few steps away is quite good.

The main issue I had is the foul smell we get from the blocked dirty drain that is close to property. The smell from it can be felt when you enter the property and sit the common area or even if we open the windows of the room. Also, beach access pathway follows this drain which is not friendly to our nose and eyes. I am not sure if the property management can do something about it. If not for this, I would have given this property a much higher rating. I would not like to stay in this property again until the smell issue is resolved and I think this issue is applicable to all the properties in this area.

BEST HOSTEL IVE EVER STAYED IN!!!! The staff here are incredible, the owner and his wife where absolutely amazing. I never wanted to leave and ended up staying over 2 weeks, be prepared when you stay here you will extend one more night.... The people I met here where incredible. I was there over Christmas and new year and the events they put on where very fun. The activities they arranged on other times were also very good. Please come stay here and support the business. Just a small walk to the beach with amazing sunsets and beach bars. Resturant next door allows you to take away food and eat at the hostel too. Cooking facilities available. Social but not party party vibes.

Amazing place to get to know people! Cool pool! friendly and super helpful staffs! And wonderful breakfast is included. The christmas party was super fun. This is my second time staying at Pajamas, and I’ve always had a very good memories from this place. Thanks everyone at Pajamas for organizing it.
