The motel is centrally located.
The room was small, and poorly lit. 'Maisonette 3' is next to the entrance lobby to the upstairs room. We were woken by a guest staying immediately above us at 11:30pm, who proceeded to have a loud telephone conversation for 20 minutes. The room has inadequate insulation against noise and light. Every footstep on the creaking floor boards above us could be heard, and the lobby light came into our room via the space between the door and the wall. The blinds on the large windows let in considerable light as well. The uncovered car park consists of five small spaces, accessed via a side street, which is open to the public.

Exactly as stated with the bonus of friendly staff and an excellent restaurant attached. I felt very welcome even though I was travelling on my own.

Convenient location close to centre of town you can walk to most places

lovely fittings, great location
hot water was warm at best, right on outdoor dining area so ambient noise and music until related restaurant closed.

The older style of the building and the comfortable room.

Very comfy room in a heritage style building in a great location. Right in the heart of the Arts Precinct. We will be back.
The stairs...

the location was fabulous
while the room was clean and comfortable, it was very ‘cozy’ and a little dark.

The architecture
Rooms need recarpeting.

The room is located behind the wine bar/bottle shop with a courtyard below creating a nice setting away from the bustle of the street. The rooms are quaint with a QS bed which is comfortable and good pillows (which is sometimes overlooked) and a view from the balcony of the old original buildings of the city. Short walk to the cafe and restaurant precinct and supermarkets
The only issue is parking spaces are limited at the back of the property and are in a dark alley.

handy to main centre. parking on site
we had great difficulty finding the actual motel with the given photo not really showing what the property looked like. the tree obscures the rooms. We could find the entrance and parking but just could not see the entry gate. it would be better to have a photo of that. the whole outfit was closed for the holiday weekend tho that could be a plus as the room opens to the outside bar area. I dread to think what it would be like at weekends. the wifi did not work but luckily we were given another log in by a passing off duty staff helping another guest. She said she could not find the rooms as well.

We also stay at Allawah, always clean, great location. Staff friendly.

Great location centrally in Bendigo. Good if you are out for dining.
Noisy from the wine bar below (music blaring until 10pm). Neighbours coming home late after drinking. Bathroom smells a bit old.

Everything was okay except one which is written below
The room is suitable only for tall persons. Short persons would find it very difficult to pull up the curtains or to reach the kitchenware placed in the top shelf!

crowd from wine bank very noisy and smoking at our window. didn’t know this would happen

Great location and fantastic value for money. We stayed Maisonette no.4. (Upstairs). Same as other reviewers, we arrived on Sunday, so we didn’t get to try out Wine Bank and we are not sure what the noise level would be like on the restaurants/bar opening days. It was great to have microwave, kettle, bar fridge, some plates, cups & cutleries. The Hotel staff messaged us about self check in with clear instructions as there was no one available on site for the Grand Final long weekend. We were fine to find the place, parked our car, went through the gate, upstairs, find the room & the key - it was like a scavenger hunt!!
I wouldn’t feel safe if it was just me staying there. I was fine with my husband walking a long drive way to get into the apartment entrance in the dark. There was only one bedside table, not two. There was no table and chair to sit and eat except bed. Balcony was nice but you will see other guests waking pass. no privacy. No lift - which could be a problem for some people and if you have heavy luggage. Very small bathroom with no bench space. Still great value what we paid.

Centrally located
No sitting area in the room, and the lighting was very dark.
7.0
Excellent central position - smallish room - 2 people max - but with everything you might need even for a weeks visit - very comfortable
Unfortunately woke up to no hot water and no heater - might have been due to storm overnight - not sure

location
NO AVAILABLE PARKING, despite advertising free parking on site. We did not book early check in but when we asked if we could, staff did no bother to check if room was ready and declined the request. Description of property not accurate. No garden but dinner/drink tables set right outside room window.

Nice room with compact bathroom and kitchenette. The bed and shower were both good.
Good location in town but quiet enough to rest.
I was not aware that this accommodation was joined to a bar, so there was some noise up until 9pm.
