I have been traveling for four months, and I have never experienced such a host and hospitality. Kudos to the food, accommodation and organization of the safari.

Owner is so sweet and helpful. Amazing view from the room. Got a free upgrade because the room wasn’t booked. Owner brought us to town for free in the tuktuk to a nice restaurant. 100% would recommend staying here!

Actually everything. Super clean, super friendly and English speaking staff and an amazing place located in the nature close to Yala Nationalpark! Dimuthu, the owner, wants you to have a great time and organised our trip to the Nationalpark perfectly. Thank you, we will come back :)

Great location at a river and beneath the trees, feels like one is sleeping in the middle of the jungle, calm, central, cheap, mosquito net

No hot shower and some ants crawling around (but that's nearly everywhere in Sri Lanka like that, better get used to it :)

Very nice big room open on the river. Clean and very confortable bed. Fan, adaptateur, mosquito net and also mosquito incense sticks are provided. Amazing staff and good affordable food. The owner even give you an evening free tour around the lake to see the birds and bats going around. He organize safari if you need for a good price too. Highly recommend it!

Had an amazing experience sleeping in a treehouse 9 meters high. The entire family is super friendly and helpful. I would also recommend having breakfast or dinner here, the rice and curry was great. Thanks for the great stay Dimuthu 🙏🏽

Very good, Very good location with affordable amenities. The staff and owner are doing a very commendable job. Lunch was thoughtfully prepared. My hope is to come back again 🙂.

the tree house is just open to the wild so it needs to be protected from mice, land monitor and insects.

I had a lovely stay at River Side Cabana. The staff is very friendly and willing to give you a nice stay, the rooms are really great and beautiful, by a river with trees in which you can see monkeys, peacocks, birds and even crocodiles if you are lucky ! The owner gave me a better room for the same price because it was available and wanted me to have a good time ☺ The food made by his wife is delicious, the location is good and calm, and they have the cutest doggs I have met. Highly recommanded ! ☺☺

The host was amazing. He was always making sure that things were tip top. He also made everything related to safari in Yala very easy. You basically just say that you wanna go, and he takes care of the rest for a very fair price. Finally, staying in the tree house dormitory was a great and unusual experience that I can highly recommend.

we loved our stay at River Side Cabana. we had a beautiful room overlooking the river and could watch the monkeys in the afternoon in the trees. we slept really well in the comfortable bed and Dimu and his family were amazing hosts. they went above and beyond to accommodate us and we had delicious home cooked food. try the pineapple lassi, it’s amazing ;)

beautiful location by the river and clean. very cheap. dont expect too much but for one night to go to safari enough!

We got a free upgrade from a normal room to a cabin on the riverside, with views of the river. Good food and they arranged the safari trip well, with a relaxed driver. Very attractive looking cabanas in a relaxed environment.

You sleep sort of outside, which was nice, but a bit noisy. Be aware of this.

Our host was very caring, he showed us a place to watch bats and even picked us up again(free of charge!). The dinner was really good, we could eat as much as we want. The location as itself is beautiful, though it is directly at a river.

The room didn’t smell well and the bathroom was not that hygienic.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The highlight: We saw a huge crocodile swim in the river just underneath our treehouse! Waking up to the sounds of birds was fantastic.

Dark room, bathroom door didn’t shut properly & some bugs were coming through the open window in there to the room. Otherwise was excellent - we paid £5 for our room AND breakfast so I mean can you really complain?! Host was v friendly too

We stayed for 2 nights at one of the river facing tree huts. The owner Dimithu and his family took really good care of us! He was flexible on changing the pre-booked room to another one we preferred even for a cheaper rate. We also booked a full day Yala Safari through him for a reasonable price and with a very experienced driver. We fully recommend to stay at this place.

Nice place by the River, the owner organised a Tour of Yala national Park it was good, we even got too See Leopards 3 of them and Elephants. I will highly recommend the Driver, stayed December 2021 had some good Sri Lankan food too.
