Local tranquilo, moderno, enquadrado numa paisagem deslumbrante. O cenário envolvente é bem aproveitado pela arquitetura do edifício, onde a luz natural e a natureza são uma constante. Quartos espaçosos e com boa insonorização.
Os serviços do hotel estão dispersos pelos diversos pisos e existem muito corredores. Os serviços de bar quando têm muito afluência são um pouco demorados (apesar de compensar a espera).

nice but in the middle of nowhere the only really nice thing was the pool

The view of course and the staff was wonderful.
The kids place wasn’t open at all and there were very limited kid activities available. The bathroom in our room had no locks and the sink drain wasn’t working. Food service slightly slow in pool bar area. More kid friendly meals would be nice as well

A 5* hotel that deserved the title! Beautiful hotel, service, food and facilities. A really fantastic stay!! The view outside the hotel room was really second to none. Breathtaking!
Hotel indoor pool required swim caps however we were not offered any, even to pay for. Outside was a little too cold due to the time of year. Other than that small detail. Absolutely no complaints. A really wonderful stay.

room was excellent
The dinner menu was the same for each night. It contained lots of specialist items (e.g. pike, octopus, pumpkin) and lots of fish. This was fine for me but my wife who has a fish allergy found the menu very limited - particularly the starters.

I didn’t realized that any activity is too far ( 1:00 by train) so many people in a hotel and wonder why they didn’t arranged any boat trips.

Beautiful pool and view! The breakfast buffet was lovely and we were treated to a special gift on arrival.
The staff at this property were very cold and the service was disappointing - felt like they were understaffed and the personnel working were under too much pressure. The carpets in the rooms and passages were dirty and overall the hotel did not feel like a 5 star experience. The hotel is extremely expensive comparatively to many other beautiful hotels in the area and I did not feel like we got value - we were hoping for a luxury experience and did not leave having felt this.

Looking for a great place to relax and recharge your batteries? Look no further. Fabulous location overlooking the River Douro with an infinity pool on the seventh floor to maximise the view. Secure parking in the basement garage, friendly and efficient reception; excellent food (we had breakfast, lunch and dinner) at reasonable prices. Room was good size, very clean and with a balcony providing further great river views.

spacious rooms, clean rooms, large bathroom, vanishing edge pool was very nice
architecture of outside of building is offensive bulky ugly, check in through garage terrible, pool not heated enough, no service at the pool, pool bar closes at 7pm before sunset, no pool towel pick guests have to do it, shower caps required for indoor pool, service was very poor, not near enough staff anywhere in hotel.

great location, beautiful views, large property with big open spaces. great for families
the service was painfully slow. they were clearly understaffed. the staff on shifts couldn’t keep up with the guests. simple food and drink orders took up to 1.5 hours.

The interior and terraces weren’t that inviting. Lack of a nice atmosphere…
