We had the best time gathering for a small family reunion. We rented several cabins and Renee was, by far, the most extraordinary host. We had everything we needed for meals and for relaxation. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our second stay at this beautiful home. Everything was perfect - well equipped kitchen, comfortable living spaces, and great location. The neighborhood bear did visit some nearby garbage cans during our stay, so that was exciting! Thanks Renee for sharing your home!

The cabin was beautitiful and beautifully decorated in a very elegant yet relaxing vibe. The kitchen is well stocked and the cabin has many different gathering areas for relaxing. The bedrooms are large and our family of 9 did not not feel crowded at all. The view is amazing and worth the drive up the mountain. The drive is winding but well paved. We enjoyed the adventure and being able to enjoy lake lure in a beautiful setting!

The home is situated on a quiet dead end with ample outdoor living space. We loved how it was just a short drive to the amenities offered in Rumbling Bald Resort.
Renae's communication was wonderful - always quick to repond, friendly, and helpful!

This place is lovely! What a view! The back deck looks out on the mountains and Lake Lure in the valley. The house is cozy and has everything you need for a getaway stay. There's a great little park with hike and bike trails just a few miles away. And some amazing hikes if you're up for longer drives. And the passes to the Rumbling Bald Resort allow you to go for a swim, play pickle ball, tennis and basketball. And for a small extra fee, there miniature golf. Highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful time over Thanksgiving with our extended family hiking the Young’s Mountain Trail, playing games, and visiting Chimney Rock . Beautiful area, and the home had everything we needed. Ingles grocery store provided everything we needed for a tasty Thanksgiving meal-to-go.

This home was comfortable and spacious for our party of 6. Kitchen was awesome with everything you need. Views from back deck were beautiful and this is where we spent our evenings. Resort had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. Chimney Rock is only 30min away. Definitely check out the flowering bridge and eat at Riverwatch Cafe.

Our family really enjoyed our stay! The house had everything we needed and is situated in a beautiful quiet neighborhood on top of the mountain. It is a short 6min drive down to Rumbling Bald Resort. We enjoyed spending time on the resort and especially loved watching the July 4th fireworks on the beach! Renee was easy to communicate with and even checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Would highly recommend!

This home was as advertised. Perfect proximity to resort amenities. Home was clean and prepared for our arrival. This was the first vacation rental we have used that had all the kitchen items we're used to at home. Kids enjoyed the basement play area. A tree fell on the deck right before our arrival and Renee went above and beyond to make sure it didn't impact our stay. She communicated quickly and consistently to handle the issue with no impact to our trip. Don't miss the rock painted like a fish half way up the road to the house!

My friends and I (10 total) stayed at the Ribera’s property in Lake Lure over New Years and we had a wonderful time. The house was clean and had all the amenities one could ask for! There was ample sleeping space for everyone with room to spare. We enjoyed relaxing on the big porch and even had a fire with s’mores. We tried the restaurant at Rumbling Bald — surprisingly great menu and drinks. The views from the house are an added bonus! The grocery store is within 15-20 minutes down the mountain and Asheville approximately 45 minutes away. The mountain is steep getting up to the house so you will need 4WD if coming up in snowy or icy conditions. Additionally, arriving in the daylight hours as suggested is very helpful in learning the roads up to the house. We look forward to another visit in the future!

My family and I really enjoyed our weekend at this property. The host was very responsive to any questions prior to our arrival and during our stay. The property was just as it appeared in the photos, beautifully decorated , comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped with all the comforts of home. We especially enjoyed the gas firepit on the side deck while watching the sunset views. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to take advantage of the Rumbling Bald Resort amenities. We will definitely keep this property on our return list!

We had a wonderful stay! Renee is an excellent host and was very responsive to any questions. The home was beautiful and nicely decorated. The downstairs bathroom was beautifully remodeled. The fire pit area is very nice. The drive up the mountain is steep, but we did get used to it. We loved how quiet it was on the property and the views were beautiful!

Spacious House in Wonderful Area
We loved our week at this VRBO. The kitchen was clean, modern, and well stocked with enough essentials that we cooked and prepared the vast majority of our meals at home with no problems. We enjoyed the fire pit "table" on the deck for roasting s'mores. The beds were comfortable, the house easily accommodated me, my husband, our teenager, and 2 younger children.
The resort is really nice - we took advantage of the indoor pool and hot tub on the cooler/rainy days, the outdoor pools on the hot days, tennis, kayaking on the lake, and dinner one night at Legends on the deck overlooking the gorgeous view of the lake and mountains.
FYI: if you have a dog, look into renting a pontoon boat from Lake Lure Adventure Co - they are dog friendly - the boat rental company at the resort is not. And make reservations as far in advance as you can. We were lucky to get a boat, and it was a fantastic experience.
Overall, we loved our time at Lake Lure, and the house was a great experience. The hosts were very quick to respond when we first were getting settled in and had a few questions.

Wonderful Getaway
What can I say other than “Absolutely Wonderful!” Home was clean, well appointed, with a great view! Lake lure resort was just down the hill and has everything you need. Internet worked well (which can be an issue in this area) And Renee, the owner was exceptionally communicative and kind. We had to miss the first few days of our vacation as I landed in the hospital right before the trip. Renee was so wonderful and kind - we will only be staying here for our future vacations!

Great mountain house!
This is a great house with a great mountain view, and just a short five minute drive from rumbling bald resort (lake, pools, etc.). Having the passes for the resort was perfect, as we were traveling with two small children and a dog who all got to enjoy the resort amenities. The road to the house is uphill and winding, but there were few cars traveling in the neighborhood. The main deck stayed very hot from 3pm to about 6pm (early June), but having a large umbrella for the outdoor dining table helped tremendously. Being able to bring our dog was important to us, so this house was a great find.

The home was exactly as described. I couldn't get over how clean the every inch of the house was.
The kids really enjoyed the air hockey machine in the basement.
The deck is really nice and made sitting out there in the warm sun looking at a beautiful view a daily activity.
It was very easy to access the Rumbling Bald Resort with the passes that are in the house.
The neighborhood is really nice and quiet. My family and I would love to stay again the next time we visit.

A great getaway

Great Value for Mountain View Cabin
We had a total of 8 guests (6 adults and 2 children) and while there was ample room for sleeping, the gathering spaces (especially the kitchen) were tight.
Large outdoor patios with multiple fire pits made up for the small living area and kitchen set up. Some of the home was in need of a little TLC but otherwise was a great value for what we paid. Mountain were beautiful, sunsets and sunrises were gorgeous and overall the owners were super responsive and cared about our comfort. I’d definitely recommend to other families for sure.

Thanksgiving with the Family
Sunrise and sunset views are amazing. The home is so tastefully decorated and is stocked with everything. We were a party of seven and had plenty of space. It was so nice to have my parents and our college kids together. We ate Thanksgiving dinner at Legends which was very good and relaxing. We made some wonderful memories in the mountain retreat. The property was absolutely gorgeous! The owner was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent stay. I highly recommend this property based on the spectacular views and amazing amenities (2 fire pits, a gril that is direct gas fed, outdoor deck for eating, etc) and based on our wonderful interactions with the owner.
