We loved that it was opposite Hawkes Bay Hospital so we could walk to and from visiting our mum. Additionally, we had parking for 2 vehicles so we didnt have to pay for parking at the hospital.

My recent stay at Elmore Lodge was just what i needed to make my trip to Hamilton easy. Pam is a great host and made my check in a breeze. Elmore ticked all my boxes for location, parking and privacy.

My room has never been cleaned during my stay, and I ended with bins overflowing, curdled milk in the fridge and no toilet paper (to name a few). When I have asked the staff about it, they gave me a confrontation and unhelpful response. Not worth the overall price

I unfortunately lost my key while being out at the concert we had flown up from Christchurch for. There is no way to contact management at this time of the morning, which I find surprising considering a number of things could occur at this time on any given day. My only choice was to knock on reception door and ring the door bell, obviously no one would enjoy having to do this but as this was the only way to contact management I had no choice. They greeted me after about 15 minutes of ringing the bell with abuse and yelling. Commenting on my drinking before the concert and saying it wasn't their problem I lost my key. This kind of thing happens all the time around the world and I would've expected a more understanding approach from people in their position, and also a more full proof way of contacting them should an emergency occur. This was a very upsetting experience and I will never stay or recommend this place to anybody, no body should be treated this way especially when I did not lose my key on purpose. To top things off, trying to charge my $50 to "replace the lock" (even though the key had NO words relating to the Elmore Lodge) is an absolute joke and they must mistake me for a fool. I hope they learn some manners and understanding at some point in their lives, but is probably too late for them now.

Friendly, helpful host. Family friendly. Spacious easy parking. Good location for access to range of eating spots.

No kitchen sink in kitchenette which I like to have but this was clear when booking the unit.
